April 25, 201411 yr do the ppl who makes the rpgs code the game or just make the story There is a lot of work that goes into making an RPG it's not as easy as you think There is AI pattern programming, dungeons, world map, events, attack animations, music, map tiles were random encounter occurs and what type of enemies would appear in a certain location....etc making an RPG it's not as easy as it sounds,it takes a lot of time and effort to do so...they don't just slap a story on sprites and expect the sprites to move themselves
April 25, 201411 yr Developers are everyone involved in the making of the game, whether it's designs, coding, cutscenes etc These can be broken down to Designers design the gameplay, rules, structure, formulas for the game Programmers actually code the game, the engine, implements the formulas from design, physics etc Artists/visual artists handle the concept art, backgrounds, visuals, textures, sprites, meshes, animation, cutscenes etc Level Designer designs the levels, worlds, missions etc depending on what the game is using Sound engineers/Directors will oversee the integration of sound, music, maybe voice acting etc and it's their job to sync it up correctly etc Finally testers will test the game and see if it's functioning find and dandy Of course these jobs may overlap. The artist could be the designer as well as the level designer. All depends on the company, the employees skillset and the amount of resources they can afford to let for a project. All people would also answer to a Project manager, who may have less knowledge of the field than they do, but is in charge of organizing his assets (people) and making sure they meet their devlierables. Also the project manager could also end up overlapping, he could be both manager and Level designer, however it is better to keep them separate to avoid problems like "oh I'll just do it" when he really should be delegating.
