FINAL FANTASY AGITO is now finally available in Japan on iOS and Android.

Sadly there is still no announcement of an English version.

I'm sure its coming. Square-Enix is very aware of the demand for both Type-0 and Agito. Maybe they'll both come to Vita or something. That would be swell.

I still think it's a joke that Type-0 still hasn't been released in English. Square Enix know the demand for it yet they refuse to talk about it. If Final Fantasy Agito does leave Japan and get an English release then I am boycotting it because of the treatment they have given fans over Type-0. I'm not going to waste my time with this silly smartphone game nonsense.

Kinda hard to release it when the console it's on is DEAD. Don't ever go to Japan then, they're crazy about playing games on their smartphones and tablets.

It's not hard to remaster the game for PS3. In fact a few PSP titles have already been remastered this way. Square Enix just want to give the excuse that it couldn't be marketed outside of Japan when in fact it could've if they had used what little brains they have. Final Fantasy Type-0 has been called probably one of the best Final Fantasy games since the turn of the millennium and yet Square refuse to release it on the grounds that the PSP is dead? Stupid really considering they port everything they make.

Also, I'm not going to not go to Japan based on if they play games on smartphones/tablets because that's is a stupid reason to not go to a country.

That's not up to Square Enix North America, they were given the game on PSP and simply it came at time when the PSP was dead in English speaking countries. If it was going to be released on another platform that would be up to Square Enix Japan. And It only just came out less than three years ago, they won't remaster it yet when they have I, II, IX, XII, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus to remaster.

If you want to play it so badly just import it and use the fan patch.

Well you were the one hating on a smartphone game and Japan is full of it, smartphone and tablet gaming is taking over in Japan. Tokyo Game Show is mostly mobile games now.

They don't need to remaster Crisis Core or Dirge of Cerberus.

What are you talking about? Of course they need to remaster them. You can't play either of them on modern hardware. Crisis Core isn't even available digitally. They are main series games, and main series games take priority.

I can't play Final Fantasy Type-0 on modern hardware. Also, how can Crisis Core & Dirge of Cerberus be main series games? They are just spin-offs of the Final Fantasy VII series. I wouldn't count it as a main series, rather a popular one.

FINAL FANTASY Type-0 is playable natively on PlayStation Vita.

Crisis Core is a prequel and Dirge of Cerberus is a sequel. Crisis Core even literally lets you play the flashback scenes from VII. Currently neither is playable on modern hardware. Crisis Core isn't available digitally.

I am fully aware what Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus are. Heck, I own Crisis Core. I just don't consider them "main series" games because they wouldn't exist if Final Fantasy VII hadn't been as popular as it was. They may be important to the VII series but I don't see how they can be classed as main series in the same vain as for example, Final Fantasy IV or X.

Type-0 may be available on Vita but I don't know why you must constantly think that older titles like Crisis Core or the like NEED to be released on modern hardware. I know I said Square Enix port everything but it's far better to see newer titles like Type-0 (and in this case new outside of Japan) to be given far more priority than ports of older games people have already played in the past. I completely understand if Type-0 proved to be too much trouble to localise but fans have been asking for titles that are new and refreshing yet they give us nothing but a girl with pink hair and ports. I don't get why you can still think they are some godly company when they think their fans want more Final Fantasy III but this time on PC, instead of something actually new.

I'm only talking about English releases by the way, I'm fully aware Type-0 isn't new in Japan. All I'm saying is, if they even decided to remaster Crisis Core then Type-0 is the only major Square game (besides the Dissidia games and of course Birth by Sleep) released on PSP that would be in need of a remaster but this time how about they release it outside of Japan and then everyone wins. But see, I can't see them doing that.

They're porting FINAL FANTASY III to PC because it's so easy for them to port I-VI. The ports are handled by different divisions at Square Enix.

They'll remaster Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus eventually because they're are so popular and they're a lot older than say recent spin-off games like Type-0 and DISSIDIA which are playable natively on PS Vita. They need to be released on modern hardware so people who missed out on them can play them now and those who want to revisit them can do so in HD.

If you've got a problem with only having XIII games take it up with Nomura and Ito because they should have both released a game during the PS3/360 era but did not.

Look it doesn't matter. There is simply no reasoning with you and anything I say you just contradict it. I was using FF3 as an example nothing more.

It's cool though, I know you totally work at Square Enix so you know them inside and out. Apologies for wasting your time.

Agito is out in Japan, no English release confirmed so far. Doesn't matter I wasn't going to pick it up any ways. /thread

Yes, and I explained their reason for porting it.

I am a Square Enix fanatic and press, that means I know a lot.

You should have just said that in the first place.
