Holy crap, it looks amazing! I might just get the PS3 version over the PS4 version, so I don't have to wait a few years.

I'm at that point, too. I'm not going to get a PS4 until a few years from now, so I'll just have to settle for the PS3 version.

I'm getting the PS3 version, but I'll be getting a PS4 sometime before March next year.

 

Good lord the gameplay is more than amazing!

No confirmation that I know of, but I imagine there would be. Battle of Z had one, and so did Namco's other recent fighting games, so this one probably will have one.

Yeah, I'll admit I'm not a fan of this custom character story business but other than that it does look like the best of the HD era.

The story actually sounds interesting to me. Seeing the DBZ story from a different perspective sounds like a good idea. As for how this compares to the other recent DBZ games, I've only played the first Raging Blast, so I wouldn't really know.

I played the Battle of Z demo, and it wasn't too bad, but the battles felt like they dragged on. The story for Raging Blast was pretty much just the DBZ storyline, so they really couldn't do anything too big with it. That's why I'm happy about what Xenoverse is doing. I heard a lot of bad things about UT, so I'm definitely skipping out on that one.

Well, we've got some new information regarding the English beta!

 

 

We will be conducting a Network Test for Dragon Ball Xenoverse for PlayStation 3 users to test some online functionality of the game and we’re inviting everyone to join us! The servers will only be open for a very limited time. Please see the details below!

When is the test?

• Network Test servers will go live Oct 4th at 5:00 AM PDT
• Network Test will end Oct 5th at 8:00 AM PDT

How can I participate?

• On Oct 3rd, we will share a download code on the Dragon Ball Z Games Facebook Page that is redeemable via the PlayStation Store for the first 20,000 players who enter it.
• After 9:00 AM PDT on Oct 3rd, players can start downloading the client.
• After 5:00 AM PDT on Oct 4th, players can begin playing. As this is a Network Test, players must be connected to the PlayStation Network and can only play while the servers are live. The servers will go offline Oct 5th at 8:00 AM PDT.

This sounds cool, but they chose a terrible day, considering that's the release date for Smash Bros. I'll probably still try and see if I can manage to get the code, but wouldn't care if I don't.

ShonenGameZ has been cranking out a ton of videos on the new Xenoverse demo from New York Comic Con on their YouTube channel, including gameplay of new race for the created characters like Humans and Majins! Check it out:

YouTuber zzToastie has uploaded a video revealing a new scan for the game, including Vegito and Goku in his Super Saiyan 4 form, more or less confirming the existence of characters and content from DragonBall GT being on the game, and as as the release date for the game in Japan, that being February 5th, 2015. God dammit, GT, don't ruin this game.

We've got some new info. on the game: First off, the first print copies of the game are going to include a bonus in them; Second, the game will feature a Tenkaichi Budokai mode, basically a tournament mode, where you can compete and watch other players compete via a Spectator mode; Lastly, we have a look at the simplistic yet stylish box art for the game's cover! Take a look below!

 

 

 

 

Also, it was detailed in one of the scans that in December, we'll be getting a new video for the game, most likely a new trailer.
