Hey there everyone, how's it going?  As you all know, Attack On Titan is now in English, and well, I had the chance to hear a bit of the English voices, and I have to say that I don't like some of them.  I don't know, after seeing the subbed version, I think the subs sound way better, and well, there's one particular character I thought sounded weird.  (Mods, before you say anything, I'm only discussing a specific character of Attack On Titan and not the whole series, so I'd appreciate it if you kept this thread as an individual thread.)  So then, Armin sounds weird, here, listen to his voice!

 

Okay, okay, it doesn't sound that weird, but it doesn't sound squeaky!  I actually imagined Armin's English voice to be more along the lines of...

 

Onion Knight's voice actor is Aaron Spann, and he also did the voice of Joshua in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, and I sort of felt that this would have been a better fit for Armin's English voice, but I don't know, maybe it's just me.  Since Aaron has a certain squeakiness to his voice, it kinda resembles Armin's.  You guys be the judge, but I seriously think Aaron Spann should have done Armin's English voice on Attack On Titan.  What do you think everybody? 

Yeah I think they kinda screwed up the dub too. I thought they kinda made Krista's voice a bit weird too. Eren's is fine though and Mikasa's is kinda hot.I do, however, really hate that they're changing the original dialogues a lot. It gets to the point where the characters aren't behaving like themselves.Like Ep1, where Armin is getting beat up. In the dub he tells them they're hitting him because "their brain's the size of a walnut". That doesn't match Armin's character, he doesn't sound so arrogant in the sub.

I,for one,find personal joy in the irony of Armins voice actor considering that the man behind the voice also played Akihisa from Baka and Test,AKA one of the biggest idiots of anime,
