• Is arrogant in attitudes and behavior
• Is preoccupied with thoughts and fantasies of great success, enormous attractiveness, power, intelligence

 

These are the few of the symptoms, and they scare me, because I do envy others and I get upset when a lot of people do something slightly better than me, I am always thinking and am concerned with being successful and being incredibly intelligent, and sometimes I can be a bit of an asshole to people unknowingly.

This scares me, as a lot of the time murderers have this condition.

and on another page it says you don't take blame for something, and much of the time I don't. And a lot of the time I look at people around me and consider a few of them to be lesser in intelligence than me.

I have been diagnosed with this, and really, it doesn't affect me much. Most of my friends honestly say that they don't see that in me, but w/e.

I honestly feel inferior to most people, and don't have much of an "ego"

There are times, however, when I notice that I'm being really self-centered, and I am able to correct my behaviors back to what is deemed normal.

TBH I only think somebody has this when they DON'T think of others. If they actually take time to think about others and worry about their state of having this, then they may as well not have it at all.

Personally, I wouldn't read too much into disorders and diseases unless you got a diagnosis from a professional. Especially with something like personality disorders, where it's really easy to fall into the "that's totally me!" trap. Like for the symptoms you posted, it's okay to be jealous of someone else or worry about your success in the future. The desire to improve yourself is just a part of what makes us human as long as it's not to the point where that desire to be better cuts you off from other people. Keep in mind too that other people may see you differently from how you see yourself, which is another reason you shouldn't really read that much into it and self-diagnose yourself. If you're really that worried, then yeah, you should see someone.Also just as a comment about murderers, do you know the one thing all murderers have in common? They killed at least one person. That's it. There's so many different reasons and justifications and profiles that it is practically impossible to find any sort of correlation between those who murder and those who don't. Even if you do have a personality disorder like this, don't believe that it's the one thing that defines you.
