Alright, so recently the new Zelda title for Wii U has been announced. And I thought I'd do a little speculation on what timeline that it could possibly be on before Aunoma or another Nintendo devloper offically announces what timeline that ti will be in. Okay,so first off I think that this new Zelda game will possibly take place in " The Hero of Wind & New World" timeline. I say that it will possibly be in that timeline era because it would make a lot of sense as to why Nintendo even bothered to remake Wind Waker in HD. Plus, there's a little something in one of the screenshot that I have noticed. Can you guess what it is?

 

 

 

Well, if you haven't guessed. You should notice that Link is wearing the SAME shirt that Toon Link wore at the beginning of Wind Waker. This could be a little hint that Zelda U takes place in"The Hero of Wind & New World" timeline. But then you could take this as a grain of salt becuase this isn't really the first time that an item from another Zelda game made a cameo apearrence. Because if you remember in A Link Between Worlds you were able to see a cameo of the mask that Skull Kid wore back in Majora's Mask. But still, this could either be a hint to the possible timeline that I am speculating or just a little cameo apearrence to the fact that Nintendo remade Wind Waker.

 

Another thing that makes be think that Zelda U will be in this timeline is becuase of the shell shaded graphics. If you've noticed, the graphics in Zelda U look extremely similiar to Wind Waker and Skyward Sword's. Though mainly Wind Waker. Plus the fact that the new Hyrule is a "New World" just like what the timeline says for Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks. Plus, I don;t think that it was all a coincidence that Zelda U would have the same kind of art style as Wind Waker/Wind Waker HD.

I think it's a sequel with Wind Waker link all grown up. I mean it's not a coincidence that nintendo released WW HD on Wii U and then this which looks incredibly similar to WW.

I also think that, because in Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks there's a huge time span separating both of them, how about a theory where this Link and Zelda try to clear a new land? The Hyrule of Spirit Tracks

That would be cool. I always wondered if the Link from the Wind Waker grew up and fought malladus that is in Spirit Tracks.

Hmm, that actually sounds like a good idea. Because in Spirit Tracks we see Hyrule again so this game could explain how Hyrule was found/restored in this timeline.

The child timeline has the same amount of games that the adult timeline has.
