there are many opinions a person can have of smash bros. some prefer the fast paced and over all competative nature of melee while some prefer the slower paced and more casual nature of brawl. i think it should be both in my opinion. there should be a way to play the game comeptatively and a way to play it casually. i prefer competatvly becouse im just a person that really loves competition and thinks that smash brs fits the competition criteria so well. i think people should have the option to choose their experience tho. with there being for fun mode an for glory mode, i think sakurai is trying to please both audiences. (just what i wanted) i have heard tho, from the people who played the demo, that the game is faster paced than brawl, but slower paced than melee. i personally know that im going to spend a lot of time in for glory mode. how do you think this will turn out? will the new smash bros be the version that people start playing in tournaments or do you think they will still prefer melee? this is a predictions topic. this topic doesent apply for how the game will actually turn out. its a topic duscussing the predictions people have of the competativness of the new smash bros.

I like that they're balancing Smash 4 to be right in between Melee and Brawl. Also, I hope that the competitive aspect doesn't go too out of hand with this one. I love competitive play, but the competitive aspects of Melee bored the crap out of me, and I hate how the Melee purists STILL go on and on about how Brawl was a horrible game, and Melee was perfect blah blah blah.

I completely agree with you. Melee is just as awesome as Brawl. Who on earth would say that?

I personally prefer Brawl, since Melee feels kinda clunky and a little too fast to me. Both are great games, though. Same goes for Smash 64.

This,for me it's the Roster that made me love Brawl a little bit more ...though I still love them both equally

my favorite stand alone game of all time! pokemon as a whole (the entire series) beats it but as a stand alone game kid icarus uprising takes the cake! another masterpiece from sakurai! ^_^

Only thankful for melee for having Peach playable, showing that she can kick ass and not just a damsel in distress. (Although there's other 3 games, but you get the idea.)

 

Brawl was fine, save it for the faulty online.
