At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear.And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going.It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. "What shall we do about this?"

Varion:

While the others began to deal with Vortimer, Varion slowly hunched down to be closer to the ground. The air's vapor seemed to be slowly drawn towards him--collecting as a thick wet shell that covered his body before completely freezing over.

Appearance wise, Varion looked frozen solid. In actuality, he had managed to coat himself in an icy shield--pulled from the water in the air. He slammed his palms together, causing the collected ice to blast off from his body; forming shards as the ice blasted for the Kamyn.

"Weird how we barely step foot on this place and already things have gone down..."

 

Emert:

Oh no. They had, at least, managed to defeat the golem. However in its dying state the behemoth seemed it wanted to at least take down two of the party members--him and the Doctor. Usually Emert thought rationally. He would sacrifice one thing to save the other. But here, there was no sense in it. He and the Doctor were equals--and therefore a sacrifice wouldn't do. Any loss to their party and their group would be forever crippled.

Emert ran and skid towards the Doctor just as the hand swept down upon them. "Not today." Emert hissed, combining his swords and quickly stabbing one end down. The other end poked up and stabbed right through the hand--hopefully keeping it up for the moment.

"My swords will not hold for long, Doctor Worthrop. They are strong, but cannot withstand all punishment. Please, if you can, use your summoning to bring about some demon. Anything to keep this monster's hand up."

Efenton looked at the poor souls, trying to stop the hand from chrushing them. "Such drive..." He said, surprised by his own reaction. He could feel THIER struggle... He paused, thinking of the consequences should he interfere...

 

"Observe closer..." He walked down, into THIER line of sight.

 

The golem had a crack in its arrn. He raised his hand, and the golem moaned in pain as the cut grew more and more, blowing apart it's hand and half of its body.

 

He looked at the group. "Welcome." He said, plainly.

Fairy sighed."That's not what I said!" She looked down. "He'll just deflect them!" She screamed. "I must be a fool...maybe I should have done something else. I hope the other groups fair better than we.." She then added."But we still have a chance....if we work as a team...then maybe..that's the key." She shook her head. 'Such a fairytale,we won't last at this rate..'She thought darkly,

Alice looked at the man that had given the Golem a cut as well. She then jumped at him trying to attack him with fire. "Who are you?!?!? And why did you think you could give me pain and suffering and get away with it?" Alice screamed at Efenton. "No one ever gives me pain without them dieing, no matter how powerful you are!" Alice said. She then casted a fire blade in her hands and slashed at the man.

He let the blade slash him, a giant gash forming in his chest , bleeding out slowly, staining his black shirt. "I am Efenton..."he seemed to not even wince as the wound healed itself. He turned around to his walk back up the mountain. He was foolish for thinking a chat could be had. They never want to talk... They wouldn't understand what it was like to be him...

Alice turned and looked at the Kaymn. "Don't go, please! I'm sorry about my behavior, I just don't know how to act around a person let alone a man like you. You hurt me, so I hurt you back, but that just makes us even. Please don't leave, you are actually someone I want to talk to. I know you are a Kaymn, and what you do has an effect on all of us. But I also know that you can't understand humans just like we can't understand you, Kaymns. But if we came to an understanding, then maybe we can learn to trust each other and live in peace. There has to be a common ground we can get to. I'm not like the other humans of this world, I only wish to come to an understanding with your kind. I need to know why you did some of the things you did, aka why your kind made me lose someone very important to me." Alice said as she was trying to be nicer to the Kaymn.

There were at least twenty of them, and they all started charging towards Vortimer.

They all stopped when they was in his swords range, and simply started laughing. Sairi had lit his clothes under the armor he was wearing on fire. He has his ways. 

The duplicates surrounded Vortimer, and Sairi made himself visible, a flaming blade in his hand. The duplicates drew two hand-guns.

"Try figuring out which one is the real me." Aya and her duplicates said in unison.

As Vortimer was surrounded by a duplicating people,Vortimer wasn't hesitated at all."Mirage Strike!"As Vortimer swings with a full circle of slash,all the duplications have been defeated,leaving the real one."I am the master of Illusions....lies and illusions are not work against me.I will show you the reality..."Vortimer said as he use his blade to slightly cut on his fingertips to have a blood on his palm.As he put his bloody palm onto his revealed left eye,the broken mask have suddenly repaired in a normal look.Then,he take a look at the Orb to make sure that no one has ever take it yet...

Aya got knocked back some because of the attack hitting her as well, and that made Sairi a bit mad.

"Nobody hits my sister." he snapped, charging at Vortimer.

Aya looked around, there had to be a way to stop the Kaymn. 

Efenton stopped in his tracks. He walked to the girl. "I understand humanity... More than you know..." He raised his hand, and the mountain ground shook, creating a huge gap between the group, and him. "Wich is why I can't let you pass!" Humanity was not ready...

Vortimer guard the attacks from the opponent's flaming sword with his own blade.As Vortimer push the sword back at him,he immediately grope his neck,suffocating him."It is not too late for giving up....you only have to put down the sword,and I will stop this torturous battles..."Vortimer said as he give him one last chance...

Fairy remembered the orb and ran past the Kaymn. 'The orb,he's fighting to keep the orb!' She thought to herself. She ran as fast as she could her only goal to reach that orb. She willed her legs to move faster. 'Almost there' she thought. She stopped before the orb. She was within reach of it. All she had to do now was touch it. She reached to the orb and....

As one of the member have touched the orb,suddenly,the castle was disappeared and so does Vortimer as well,leaving the member that he groped have been released.As the members standing in field of dirt again,Vortimer appears before them,carrying the Orb that he's trying to protect."Congratulations,you have witnessing my Illusions....you're not bad on the trials that I've tested you,I suppose..."Vortimer said as he then,calling his horse as he began to hop on it."You may able to move forward,but there will be more trials ahead,just like now..." Vortimer said as he retreat swiftly,with a orb in his hand...

Aya rushed to Sairi's side, grabbing onto his brothers hand and helping him up.

"Are you okay, Sairi?" she asked.

"I am fine. Thanks Aya." he said seriously.

Aya then turned to Fairy.

"Fairy is the one we should be thanking." she said with a smile, the two walking to Fairy.

"T-Thank you ma'am..." Sairi muttered, looking away.

"Thanks for saving my brother!" Aya said with a smile.

Ryu sighed as he got up from his cloud. "Vortimer lost. What a pity," Ryu said. He now stood at the foot of a mountain on the road ahead of Sairi's group. "Seems like they're up ahead on their way here. I guess its my turn to greet them," Ryu yawned. He was only interested to fight the alchemist.
