Should KH13 get a TeamSpeak Server?

Posted

I've been thinking about this for a while, I think KH13 should get what is known as a TeamSpeak Server, what is a TeamSpeak Server you may ask? TeamSpeak is where you can interact with other people all across the globe through a microphone, sort of like a Group Skype Call if you will. However it is a Rented Server which means, whoever intends to rent out this server if Daniel or Aaron intends on forwarding this idea will have to pay money monthly, i don't know how much but i was a part of a TeamSpeak Server when i was staff on a Minecraft server that i recently resigned from. If you are thinking of forwarding this idea Daniel or Aaron, contact me through message or Skype (My Skype is on my Profile) and i'll look into the costs and such.

Thanks for reading through this if you did Daniel and Aaron! xD

I don't really see a point. If people want to communicate, KH13 has the chat system. If they want to use something else, there's always Tinychat, Steam, Skype, etc. Not much of a point to rent out a Teamspeak server when there are so many other free options.

Teamspeak is only necessary if you plan to voice chat with a group people while playing pc games.  Teamspeak is designed to require little power to run so the computer can use most of it's power to run video games.  But if we're just wanting to chat together, setting up a tinychat would suffice and is what most people end up doing on the site.

I see, i'll take these into account. However No one really chats to each other (Or well me) And hardly anyone uses the group chat. Unless we made a Skype Group Chat but i fear that would be WAY to big.

Our current chat system supports video call. Lol. But anyway, I don't see a paid service like this being even close to worth it. Sorry.

Wait, it does? Never noticed. Of course, I'm rarely on it, anyway.

Yep. Just click the gear. Lol. I'll never touch it.

Agreed that this isn't really suitable for us. I'm all for people setting up fan KH13 communities if they want to, but this isn't something we would officially support because we have our own communication systems on-site.
