PlayStation 2 Controller Adapter for PS3?

Posted

I've been looking into a second controller for my PS3, so that I can do multiplayer games with my brothers (Ultimate Ninja Storm's all I have at the moment, but still). I found out there's an adapter that lets you use a PS2 controller for a PS3. Dualshock 3 controllers are kinda expensive, so I'm thinking about getting the adapter instead. For those who have used it, does it work well? Is it worth getting, or should I just try to find a Dualshock 3?

Get a dual shock 4 if you can, it's much better and works with ps3

I would, except those things are insanely expensive. $40 for a used controller is a bit too much.

Get a non Sony controller?

Oh heck no.

Why not? Cheap and does the job. I got a second controller this way for trophies and multiplayer and it's lasted well over a year now.

I don't really trust third party controllers. They're not really high quality, and they just don't... feel right to me. I'd rather get a controller I could trust, even if it's $10 more, than a cheap old one from some company I've never heard of.

$10? That all. Lol. Go Sony then.

In Australia there's sometimes a $60 difference. Lol.

This isn't even a question of Sony controllers or third party controllers... I was asking if I should just get a Dualshock 2 adapter for a PS3. They're cheaper, but I have no clue how well they work.
