This theory has absolutely nothing to back it up, but I don't think it was ever explained why there were barriers between worlds in the first place. The assumption is just that they just kind of 'appeared' when the World was rebooted into how it is now. I'm thinking these Lost Masters played a role in helping re-shape the universe to how it is, and set up everything so that the worlds would remain separate, to prevent another Keyblade War from ever happening.

That's very interesting. I actually like that theory quite a bit But then it sort of leaves the question of how there came to be only 3 remaining and that(atleast from my guess of the KH3 teaser) only Xehanort knew of them.

Personally I think he is talking about Aqua, Ventus and Terra because they were all lost and Xehanort can time travel (Even though he forgets memories of the future to play out life as it is destined to happen) Aqua was lost in the realm of darkness, Ventus was lost to sleep and Terra was lost to darkness but then again that more than unlikely as Yasue said that you'll possibly meet these "New characters" on your KH3 travels.

I know some one else will point this out, but he can't be referring to TAV. Terra isn't a master, even if MX said he had the potential. Ventus isn't a master, not much I can add to that. Aqua is a master though.

Yeah. Hopefully, all of that would be explained in KHIII.

Maybe, it's possible. But I just wanna know who these "Lost Masters" are. I mean, could they be the same "Lost Masters" that were mentioned in BbS teaser at the end of KH2?
