Pokemon-inspired Collectems looks... Interesting.

Posted

Collecterns (PC, Mac PS4, PS Vita) looks interesting. Collecterns features graphics and gameplay inspired by the classic 8-bit Pokemon games, with some new additions like randomised environments, restrictions on the use of items, permadeath for your monsters, and customisable settings that can make the game more challenging.

At the very least, the monster designs will make you appreciate Game Freak more.

Why would anyone seriously try to replicate the monstrosity that was RGB's sprite design? That was like the only thing wrong with Gen 1 besides how broken Psychic Pokemon were. lol

Yeah, those are gorgeous sprites, indeed.

I'll probably end up trying the game out because I'm a huge Pokemon fan, but... The battle menu looks really weird to me. I don't even know what's going on in them. ._.

Also, the designs are... Well... Yeah. xD
