(OKAY GUYS. Just a quick few things I forgot to mention. Please follow this rp so that y'all will know when a post is made, and also if someone doesn't post for a while just let that person know. On with the rp!)"I hope you all amuse me..."Roxas was already up in this fine morning in Asnia. Usually his brother woke up first, however the sounds of his father working always woke Roxas right up. He wanted to see the cool new weapons that were being made. He swung around downstairs, said hi to his mother, and ran right outside to greet his father at the forge. "Hey dad!"The father chuckled, and showed Roxas a rather fancy looking sword. "This here is made out of Orichalcum. Pretty deadly. Why don't you call your brother down to see?"Roxas chuckled, and slipped into the front door. "NERD-""Roxas!" The father scolded."...Ventus! Dad wants you to wake up and come downstairs!" he turned right back around. He expected Ventus to be up anyway... he did after all, put a spider on his pillow. If Roxas had a watch, he would check it. "I give it three seconds." he mused to himself.

Meanwhile, another page in a storybook was currently scrambling to get ready for his own day. This man was Corvo Attano. He was to adopt from an orphanage that day; and unfortunately he had just gotten back from a rather deadly contract he just completed. Escorting a messenger through a dungeon. How bad could it be? He currently was living in an inn, however for legal purposes he bought a little cottage like home next to the inn and some farmer and her magic student son. One of the maids was fixing him up."Corvo, you look like a mess."I know, I know." He ran a hand through his hair. "Look, I gotta go. See you soon.""Corvo!"He turned around. "What?"

The maid sighed. "You have blood on your face." The man sighed and just licked his thumb to wipe the blood off. He just then hurried out the door to go to the orphanage. He didn't want to be late.

[Marluxia Contray]

     ~~~~~~~~~~~~
     After some time in the crowded and busy market, Marluxia came home with a basket of fruits, a bundle of pink roses, and a dusty little old black book. He never found his brother, which made him even more frustrated. He put the basket on the table and took out the roses. He closed his eyes, put them up to his nose, and smelled the sweet scents from its petals. He then put them in a vase by the fireplace. He then sat at the table and picked up the little black book. Marluxia got this from the mischievous Savage Nymph. She was always causing trouble in town. However, Marluxia couldn't help but be curious about this book. When he opened up the book, he immediately pulled his hand back. He had gotten a papercut from the old and jagged page. Blood had gotten on it as well.
      He looked at the book again, and noticed a light coming out of it. It projected an image of Asnia. Marluxia was confused, but kept watching the projected image. It then faded to an image of Kirby, sleeping soundly in a bed. Marluxia was shocked. He thought for sure Kirby was dead, but he's in Asnia?? He was not pleased with this at all. He wanted to have a stern talk with Kirby about wondering off and bring him back home. He stood up from the table, took the book, and put on his black cloak. He focused on all of his energy, and in a flurry of petals, he had disappeared from his home. After a bit, he appeared near the entrance of Asnia, frustrated and angry. He quickly walked into the district, looking around for his younger brother.
     "Foolish boy...Oh, when I find you...", he muttered in frustration.
Silver shrugged. He continued to read the passage, finding it rather interesting. "Well... Actually yeah. We might find what the Dark Mage has been looking for. Or we could find some things that we can used against him." He found a particular paragraph that mentioned something strange. "Former Guardian hold of 'Dark Matter' huh.... Have no idea what that is." He tried to read more, but it only mentioned Dark Matter once. "Would you like to go?"
Clementine nodded happily, thankful to have a new found friend. "Uh... I saw them over by the house next to the blacksmith. It's the shop there. They were gonna buy some stuff and told me not to wander. Oh boy, they're gonna be so mad..." She muttered with a frowned. "I wish my friends were nearby..."
Vanitas placed the other items inside Dawn's bag, and fitted it inside the dirt hole. He also tossed some of his useful items in the hole, not really having anything precious to him. He buried the items, making sure the soil was nice and flat. "Okay, let's go." He stood up, an went straight towards the outer edge of the town, over to the outskirts of the market.
~Link Baxter~ Link wasn't sure at first. He wanted to help the Twins find their father, but he knew that keeping the Dark Mage at bay was important too. After awhile, he spoke up. "Sure, I'd love to, but I think we should try and help the Twins first."~Sonic Needleson~   Sonic was always for helping other people, especially kids like her. He thought about how he missed his own parents, even though he knew they were okay. Together, Sonic and Clem walked towards the blacksmith. "Smithy!" Sonic called out. "You haven't by chance seen this kids parents, have you?"~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn followed Vanitas towards the outskirts of the market, hoping to find what Vanitas had came here for. She looked around, each parlor selling different things. Once such was selling more pins, like the one she stole earlier that week. Another place was selling something called "Materia." Taking Dawns interest, she walked over to the kiosk and browsed. After looking over the spherical objects, she walked up to the seller. "I'm sorry, but what is Materia?" The teenager selling them laughed. "You visit the black market and don't even know what Materia is? Well, I'll tell you. Materia is used to unlock the deepest of magics inside you. Anyone can use Materia, even someone who's never studied magic before! But there's a cost. The more powerful the Materia, the more energy it takes from you."   Dawn looked at the girl, curious and shocked. "What do you mean?" The girl sighed.   "I mean, if you use them too often, you'll drain your life energy, and you could end up in Comatose! That's why they don't sell them anywhere else, only here! But if you're smart, you start with small Materia, and move yourself up the line slowly. Some Materia can shock people with devastating Lightning! Others can summon great Monsters! You just need to be careful... really careful." The content already interested her. She thought about maybe trying it out herself. Calling out for Vanitas, Dawn hoped to get some advice. Maybe he could help her make a decision. "Vanitas! Mind helping me out a sec?"
"Alright then roxas, lets go. time to hunt." they walked a bit in silence. in a few minutes. they reached the edge of the forest. "okay roxas. lets begin. first thing, we need to start tracking. gotta find an animal to kill it. so. look closely. think you can find a clue?" del waited a minute while roxas studied the tree line.  after time elapsed, he said "look there. see those plants? they dont grow like that, they were tore by a deer eating. that means that they must be near, so now we can narrow the search for clues to that area. if you look at that, you can start to see some tracks. those are the kind of things you need to look for when tracking." he put his hand on roxas shoulder. "lets go in. we will follow the path ive found, but i want you to see if you can spot any useful info while we do okay?" as they got close to the forest, del wihspered, "remember, be silent."
Silver shrugged. He was unsure of what the best thing to do for that situation with the Twins. He didn't even know the Twins anyway. "Sure, but what if the Dark Mage tries to do something like that to someone else? Well... If you really want to help then I guess we can. We can just go into town and see if we can hear anything from the guards as to where the father's at." Silver would rather stop the Dark Mage from making things worse, but Link was right too. He stood up from his chair and placed the book down. "Let's hurry before something bad happens."
The blacksmith glanced over to the blue haired boy. "Clementine it's good to see you! Who's this blueberry friend?" The man snickered. Clementine tip toed to see over the counter.
"Well, your daddy was here earlier delivering some of my things to some of the guards. Been getting some extra buisness lately with the dissapearence of that other blacksmith. Them guards took the poor guy away. I think he's the father to those two jokers..." The man scratched his stubble of a beard. "If I have to say... I think Jenora is over by the flower stand down the street helping the folks set up for the festival."
Clementine looked up to Sonic excitedly. "Can we go there?"
Vanitas was busy chatting with a shady older man who looked like a hardcore criminal. Vanitas growled at him and walked over to Dawn. The man walked away rather pissed off. "Ugh... People are stupid... /What?/" he asked to Dawn, rather aggravated. He took note of what the shop was, for something called materia. He heard of it before. "I wouldn't trust it. You can't trust anything from black markets." He muttered to Dawn, inaudible to the shop keeper. "Go ahead and get one if you want. Dont feel stupid if something bad happens."
Roxas was rather confused, but that's okay. Roxas nodded and followed Delsin closely. After a few minutes, Roxas pointed out a set of bunny paw prints engraved in the rich damp soil. He was about to speak, but knew silence was number one.
~Link Baxter~ "Wait, isn't this the whole reason we brought Sonic along? To help us get back their dad? We can't do it without him. Maybe you're right. We have time. Let's go ahead and do this!" Link responded. He should've thought about that earlier.~Sonic Needleson~ "Of course!" Sonic said, giving a thumbs up and smiling. "Hey Clem, hold on!" Throwing Clem into his arms, Sonic readied himself, and boosted away towards the Flower stand.~Dawn Estheim~ "... I'll go ahead and get one then. Which one of these would help me heal someone?" Asking questions was a good to start to find an end. The girl smiled, and threw a Green Materia at her. "This one is called Cure. It'll heal someones physical injuries, but it won't heal diseases. If you want to heal diseases, you should try this one." The girl threw another green Materia towards Dawn. "This one is called Esuna. It heals diseases, but not physical damage. Also, the more you use Materia, the longer you can stand without needing to rest. Use it often, but be careful at first. After awhile, you won't ever have to recharge!" Dawn smiled, gracious for the girls advice. "Alright, how much for both of them?" "Well, normally, they would go for about 100 coin each... but since this is your first time here, (and you've got to deal with such a lousy boyfriend,) you get half off, and a buy one get one free special! So, in total, that's 50 coin!" The girl laughed, noticing Dawns expression when she mentioned "boyfriend." "Wow, thanks Miss... uh..." Dawn spoke as she dug up some coin from her pocket. "Just call me Yuffie, no need for the Miss!" Yuffie graciously accepted the coin, and bid Dawn farewell. Dawn walked back towards Vanitas, hoping he wouldn't be too mad at her for getting two of them... and paying.
Delsin saw roxas notifying him of the bunny tracks. he patted him on the back as if saying "well done". He moved off in the direction of the new tracks, but they needed to be extra careful following a rabbit. those creatures were especially jumpy. He crouched down, and roxas did the same. they soon came across a rabbit hole, leading delsin to belive the rabbit was near. time for the first test.using the especially subtle clues of a rabbit, they soon came across the rabbit, munching on some plants. del stopped, drew his knife, and pointed with it to the critter. he looked at roxas in the eyes and nodded. "You got this, little bro." he thought.
Silver sighed. Link again, was right. That really was why Sanic had tagged along anyway. In speaking of the blue blur, where the hell was he anyway? "Yeah, let's go. Let's just go ask around and see what we can find. I say let's head to some pubs and to the barraks where the guards stay to see if we can pick up on something." He exited the secret room, and waited for Link to follow.
Clementine was rather startled at being picked up, and even more startled at the speed they were traveling. She let out a tiny whimper and held onto Sanic tight. "U-Uhh!" Once they got to the market and to the flower stand, Clementine did in fact see her mother. She was hanging up some flowers on the sign to the stand.
"Mommy!" Clementine said.
"Oh honey lemon I was looking all over for you!" Jenora said, wearing a big apron. She glared over to Sanic. "Who's dis?"
Clementine smiled. "Mr. Sanic helped me find you. He saved me from some bullies."
Suddenly, Jenora got a big smile on her face. "Oh shugar, thanks for helpin' my baby girl. I have to make you some of my pancakes sometime. I'm Jenora."
Vsnitas tapped his foot impatiently. His eye twitched at the boyfriend mention. "First of all, I'm not lousy and second of all, I'm NOT her boyfriend." He stuck his tongue out at Yuffie. "I have you know I am the God of Sexiness. Thank you very much. I can have any girl I want." He was like a pissed off little kid. 'How dare she say I'm a lousy boyfriend.' He thought. 'I treat her perfectly fine! Not that I'm her boyfriend or anything.' He crossed his arms and looked to Dawn. "Can we go somewhere else in the market? Before I blow a gasket?"
Roxas nodded. He went in slowly for the rabbit, but because the universe loves cliches, he stepped on a twig which snapped in half making a loud noise. The rabbit was startled and began to run away from fear. In pure reflex and pressure Roxas actually ran after the rabbit dissapearing in the forest as he charged for it. "...!"
~Sonic Needleson~ Sonic rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. "I'm Sonic, but I guess you can call me Sanic if you really want to, Clem. Mrs. Jenora, I'd love to stay for the pancakes, but I've got to meet with some people in a little bit." He had almost forgotten about the masks he needed to buy for the three of them. Afterall, the Afterlife Festival was tomorrow!~Link Baxter~   "Just a sec." Link stated. He put down the books and brushed off his shoulder. The bookcase that had opened to reveal the area needed to be sealed again. Climbing up a nearby ladder, Link leaned across the empty space between the case and the wall, removing "A" from "MAGIC." This immediately caused the case to close back down, once again hiding the table. Link rearranged the letters, hoping not too many people would solve the simple puzzle. "Alright, let's go."~Dawn Estheim~ "You didn't have to stay with me the whole time, you know. You could've walked away, and we would meet by that tree or that wall like last time." Dawn said, walking away from Yuffie's post. She stared at the Materia, wondering how she would tell them apart when she really needed them. I guess it's just gonna be a test drive. She looked back up at Vanitas. "So, Vanitas. Any idea which area we need to head towards next?" She asked, but she really didn't need to. She could see straight ahead exactly where they were going.
After some time in town, Marluxia still had no luck finding Kirby. Every step he took made him even more frustrated. Every person he asked made him stressed.
He didn't feel like peeking in other people's houses at the moment, so he decided to go to the market. Kirby's probably there, looking at what foods to buy.
As he walked deeper and deeper into the odd depths of the market, he felt an odd aura lingering in it. It was especially strange for a town that bans magic all together. It was another presence of something, or someone who practices a special kind of magic...dark magic.
Curious, he stopped walking and stood in place. He looked around at the people in the market, until he came across a young girl and a young black-haired man walking by at a distance. He blinked to them, and then gave them a glare. Perhaps talking to more magic folk will...benefit him in his...search. His selfish desires to gain more power were getting the better of him.
Marluxia wasted no time. He grinned deceptively and put up his hood. He gracefully disappeared near the two. When they passed by, he appeared in a gentle flurry of petals and called out to them, particularly the young lady.
     "Excuse me, young lady...I...couldn't help but notice that you and your little...soot-haired companion are accustomed with the art of...magic. If it isn't too much trouble, would you mind helping me find someone who is lost? The lost person is somewhere in this...pitiful little town. If you could use your magic to help me, I will offer this in return."
He dug into one of the pockets of his cloak, and pulled out a small blue card with an uncomfortably friendly grin on his shadowed face. The card had a symbol of a clock printed on it.
     "I'd demonstrate what this little card can do, but I don't want you two to get into any trouble right now. What do you say?", Marluxia grinned with subtly deceiving eyes.
~Dawn Estheim~ At first, Dawn was very surprised by the appearance of the strange petal man. Given her choices, however, Dawn felt the need to contemplate with Vanitas. "What do you think? Should we help him? What do you think the card does?" Dawn looked back at the man. "Sorry, if there's one thing I've learned by traveling with him, it's that you don't trust every magical being in these parts. No offense or anything."
As roxas dashed off towards the rabbit, delsin drew his knife. it was reflex, not to let a meal get away, but he knew roxas had to do this himself. He put his knife back. "Go get him roxas."
Clementine jumped into her mothers arms who in turn held her close. "Alright." Jenora said. "Hurry along now boy! I guess I'll have to make them pancakes another time. I hope to see you at the festival tomorrow, Sonic!" (Meanwhile it's like a month after Halloween LOL)
Clementine giggled and waved to Sonic. "We should play sometime! You have to meet my friends Black and Silver!"
Vanitas crossed his arms and gave his partner a proud grin. Dawn really has been learning from him. "The girl's right, flower guy." He looked at the card in very mild interest. "Why would I want to help you? Well... Your card does interest me, but how do I know you're not going to try anything?" Vanitas clicked his tongue. He actually wondered if maybe this man had some valuable information. "...Fine. Try anything fishy and I'll end you. You'll be another soul to my collection."
Silver gave a nod to his companion. He led Link to the more secluded section of the town, where the guards usually hang with some merchants. Silver made sure to be careful so that no one would recognize him. He kept his ears open, trying to hear something useful. So far he heard just random things. Silver currently stood behind a stand, listening into a concersation.
"Did you get the mead?"
"No. How could I when you took all my money from that poker game last night?"
"Oh firetruck you it's not my fault you decided to play poker when it was your turn to buy the booze!"
"Shut it, y'know, apparently another kid got kidnapped. Third kid this past two months."
"Stop trying to change the subject you ass."
Roxas fan after the rabbit for fifteen minutes, carefully and swiftly chasing the little creature. However, he dissapeared behind a group of trees, only to stop the running suddenly. Infront of him was three people, a middle aged man, a woman, and a young male who couldn't be much older than Roxas hanged in the tree. He just stood there, shock written all over his face in a strangely blank expression, just looking up to the three corpses. The Ravens had been eating away at the man's body, some blood dripping down his body. One of these drops of blood hit Roxas dead in the cheek, but he didn't move or make a sound at all. He was just stairing, trying to compute this scene all in his head. For a while, he felt this is what his father's fate was. "..." The corpses couldve been at least a day old. The rabbit was already gone.
after a few minutes, del got worried for roxas, he chased off after him. he didnt want him to chase that rabbit too far off, they could track another. he followed the trail and came up behind roxas. before he could call his name, desin saw the bodies. The images of his family rushed back. his father and mother, both swaying in the wind in front of a roaring crowd. he fell to his knees. "kill the heretics!" he could almost hear the chants here, in the silence of the woods. he stayed like this for a few moments, and then he remembered roxas. he stood up, wiped the tears from his face and walked up behind roxas. "hey" he said, breaking the silence. he put his hand on roxas' shoulder, and squeezed. there really wasnt much to say.
~Miles "Tails" Thompson~ Miles headed to Rosie's, where he had thought he could pick up a few masks. Of course, he was right. He picked himself one certain mask out, one he thought was adorable. It was a little Fox! The label read that this was a Keaton, a legendary Kitsune with three tails. Miles loved the idea so much, he grabbed the mask and was ready to go. But wait, he still had to buy some for Del and Roxas! He looked back at the shelf. There were only a few masks left. One such mask was an Eagle, another of which was a black hood with two large yellow eyes shining, and large antennas sticking out. Still wearing his Guard suit, he managed to get another Discount. He headed back towards Twins' house, waiting for the returning people. (I wasn't exactly sure how to handle Vens leaving, since Miles was supposed to go with Ven to shop.)
~Sonic Needleson~
"Wait a sec..." Sonic was surprised by the mention of the name. "Silver? As in, gray haired short kid with a knack for being Naive?"~Link Baxter~   Meanwhile, Link snuck away from Silver, near another stack of Barrels. A separate conversation between guards, but one equally as unimportant. Sneaking back over to Silver, Link had an idea.   "Hey, why don't we do what Tails did? Lets Liberate us some uniforms!" He whispered silently.~Dawn Estheim~ "Huh... Alright. What does this person look like?" Dawn wasn't sure how her Magic could help, but maybe she had seen him around time, maybe point this guy in the right direction.
[Marluxia Contray]
Marluxia chuckled at the two, particularlly at Vanitas.
     "Well, we wouldn't want that to happen, now do we?"
Marluxia got right up in Vanitas' face and gently cupped his chin with a sadistic grin.
     "By the way, if YOU try anything funny, dear boy, you can forget this offer, and kiss some of your partner's power goodbye."
He let go of Vanitas' chin.
     "Now, let's not waste time introducing ourselves and get straight to business."
He put the card back in his cloak pocket, and pulled out the little black book he got earlier.
     "Well, you see young lady, I happened upon this little book in my hometown, and it gave me a hint of where this missing soul might be. However, I just don't have the proper skills to track souls or hearts. Here, take a look."
Marluxia opened it, and a light from it projected Kirby waking up inside of a house.
     "I need to find this child. Who he is to me isn't important to you. Do you think you may be able to track him down for me?", Marluxia asked the two with a calm tone of voice as his green eyes flashed in the sunlight.
[Kirby Contray]
Kirby woke up in Namine's home and yawned and stretched his arms. He rubbed his eyes and got out of bed, cleaned himself up, put on his clothes, and wrote a thank you/goodbye note for Namine. He sneaked up to her and placed the note under her pillow. He gave her a warm smile and headed out on his way. He figured he could walk around Farron for a bit and stretch out his legs. Who knows? Maybe he might come across one of his other friends.
When he stepped out of the house, Kirby caught a glimpse of a small butterfly and stared at it in awe. He then smiled and aimlessly chased it in glee, hoping to catch it.
Roxas was silent. He didn't even acknowledge Delsin at first- he didn't realize he was even there. For a few minutes, which what felt like hours, Roxas just stood there for a while. He just stood there stairing at the bodies. He didn't know them, and yet he felt that he did. For a moment Roxas could've sworn that the man was his father. He slowly looked down, and rubbed his eyes furiously from the small tears that he didn't even know he shed. Then he realized that Delsin was there. "O-Oh... Uh..." He glanced up to the bodies once more, then immediately back down over to Delsin feeling very sick to his stomach. "Let's uh... Let's go get the rabbit..." To be honest, Roxas didn't even want to attempt to kill anything after seeing that.
Vanitas couldn't even help but feel a little bit creeped out today. He was about to smack Marluxia's hand away, but Marluxia had already retracted his hand. Vanitas crossed his arms, not trusting this guy one but. He didn't want to do no 'charity' work either. But then Vanitas noticed something: that boy was Kirby. Interesting... "What's in it for me? Show me what that card does. If it's something I'm interested I might be willing to help you..." Vanitas was thinking in his head how to help this man, but to cause mischief on Kirby too.
Clementine slowly shook her head, looking rather interested. "Gray hair? No... He has red hair. And he's really mean sometimes, but he's really nice too I promise! He buys me fruit all the time. I haven't seen him lately though..." Jenora chuckled and patted Clementine on the back. "Baby girl, let Sonic go to do what he had to."
Silver looked to Link like he was wearing a pineapple on his head. "Are you crazy?!" He sharply whispered back. "If we get caught, then we'll REALLY be hanged. Plus, they'll notice the missing uniform right away." He nervously rubbed the back of his head. He tried to give his best excuse but in reality, he just was afraid of the idea of robbing the people who tried to kill him. "No way."
~Dawn Estheim~
The way Marluxia had handled Vanitas didn't settle well with her. This man was disrespectful, especially to one as powerful such as Vanitas. Dawn recognized the boy, feeling privileged to have such knowledge.
~Link Baxter~
"You're right. But what do we do? These guards are just talking nonsense over here." Link wasn't exactly pleased with the useless info they were grabbing off of the idling guards.
~Sonic Needleson~
"Oh. Alright. Well, I'll see ya around, Kid!" Sonic didn't stay around much longer after that. He needed to rush back to Rosies, and get his hands on those masks. Wasn't too hard, really. Although when he got back, the one he wanted to pick out for Link was already gone. So much for that Keaton Mask. He continued looking through the rest, seeing which would fit them better. He found one such mask, a wolf. Not too shabby. He picked it out, and put it aside for purchase. There were only four masks left. One looked a bit like Link, only his eyes had pure white, and his cap was a light blue. Perfect for Silver. Along side it was one he found for Link, which was nothing more than a simple Mummy mask. He rushed back to the Inn, and placed all the items in their respectful places. Now, to await for their return.
~Miles Thompson~
"What's taking them so long?" Miles rolled around on the couch, tired of waiting. He didn't just want to leave, though. He felt that sticking around was safer for everyone. After all, he had already risked a lot by going out in his stolen uniform. He felt it was about time to take that off anyways. So he did. Thankful that no one else was around in the house, Tails walked up and down the stairs, looking for his normal clothes. It took him awhile to realize that he left his clothes when he went to rescue Ven's Mom with Del. Goddammit. He went back downstairs to put his Guard uniform back on, but it was also missing!
"This isn't funny, guys!" He yelled, assuming someone had returned without him knowing. He wasn't going to walk around naked all day, and he certainly wasn't going to wait for Del or Roxas to find him that way. He stormed upstairs, and raided the closet. There wasn't anything in there! The only piece of clothing that remained was a Red jumpsuit, which he assumed to be their fathers, and a black, white, and blue vest-looking piece. Out of options, Tails squirmed into the outfit, taking one last look at himself in the mirror.
"Well," he said, "at least no one is going to recognize me!"
[Marluxia Contray]
Marluxia shut the book and grinned at Vanitas as he took out the card again.
     "Well, if you want a demonstration of this little card's power, I'd be happy to oblige."
He looked up at the sky and saw a lone little bird flying. He held the blue card in one hand, and used his other hand to flick it with his middle finger. When he flicked the card, it gave off a small little spark, and the bird froze in place. Marluxia stood there and waited for about 10 seconds, then the bird unfroze and went about its business as if nothing happened.
     "If you use more cards at the same time, it boosts the effects. You can even even attack your enemies while they are frozen, and they will not take damage until time unfreezes for them.", Marluxia said, smiling.
     "However, once you use them, it takes some time for their power to recharge. So, what do you think?" He grinned.
Vanitas raised his eyebrows in delight at this card. He wasn't expecting the bird to freeze like it did, and for the image appear on the card. It was interesting, but he wasn't sure if it was worth helping this pink haired lunatic find the kid. "Huh... I might be willing... What did the card exactly do to the bird? Will the card summon the bird's power." Vanitas was trying to think if this truly was useful. Maybe he could even effectively use it in combat...
Silver crossed his arms. Yeah... What the hell were they going to do now? "Ugh, I dunno... Maybe we could go to the innkeeper to see if there's any gossip? We haven't tried the pubs yet either... Oh!" Silver suddenly snapped his fingers. "Maybe we can find the guards that took the twins' parents away. They might know where the father is, if he's been moved or anything..."
[Marluxia Contray]
Marluxia looked at Vanitas as he asked more questions.
     "Oh. The card merely froze the bird in time for a short while, hence the clock symbol. Unfortunately, it doesn't summon power. That's a kind of magic that you learn for yourself, as have I. But, that's not the only card I have."
Marluxia dug into his cloak yet again, and pull out more magic cards. They had prints of flames, snowflakes, lightning bolts, small tornadoes, dark orbs of gravity, and more clocks.
     "By these prints, I'm sure you can guess what these card's abilities might be. They are swell for emergencies." He grinned.
     "If you're not impressed, I understand. Typical of a...dark mage such as yourself, if I'm correct?", Marluxia smirked.
     "Young lady, What are you and your friend doing this a magic-banning community anyways? Are you trying to get yourself killed? How can you know if you can trust this dark mage?
     "What is he to you?", Marluxia asked bitterly as he lazily clasped his hand together.
~Dawn Estheim~ "I uh..." Dawn started rubbing her hands together. She looked at Vanitas. "To be honest, I don't remember how I met him, or how I decided to leave that family to go with him. To be honest, there's a lot I don't remember..." Still rubbing her hands, she dropped her head slightly, before raising it back up. "But, that doesn't matter. What does matter, is that I'm not going to let you Patronize either of us. Vanitas, if you're going to make this deal, do it now, before I freeze him to death."~Link Baxter~ "We could. Since we can't learn anything from these guards about that underground place you found. We should check in with Mil-er Tails. He saw them, he could give us a little help." Link said. He didn't think they'd learn enough about that place anyways. "Or, do you want to go back and grab Sonic first? Up to you."
Vanitas growled. No one disrespects him like that. He suddenly snatched the cards out of Marluxia's hands and roughly poked him right in the chest as a warning. "Don't you dare talk to her like that. You're lucky I'm deciding to help you. If you speak like this to me or her again, you'll regret you even laid your eyes on us today." He looked to the book and hovered his hand over it. His hand glowed a dark purple. "... I know where he is."
Silver shrugged. He did wonder where Sonic was. "We can just check with Tails first of you'd like. Sonic's probably running around having fun anyway. Let's not interrupt his mask shopping." He gave Link a smile. "Ready to go?"
[Marluxia Contray]
Marluxia chuckled slightly at Dawn's cute little threat.
     "You don't remember, huh? Well, that's a shame. I would help you with that too, but I can merely sample memories you already know about, and not ones you can't recall.", Marluxia boasted.
After his remark, Vanitas swiped the cards from his hands. Marluxia grinned again. He then held out his black book for Vanitas to observe. He hovered his hand over the book and claimed to know where Kirby was. Marluxia's eyes lit up slightly. Finally, he pushed back his hood and revealed his face.
     "Ah. Good, good, good. Now, point me in the right direction of him, and you may keep the cards."
[Kirby Contray]
Kirby continued to follow the butterfly in joy. He managed to find his way in a part of Farron near the inn. He kept hopping and jumping at the butterfly, but it flew up too high and got away. Kirby stopped hopping.
     "Poyo...", he sighed in disappointment.
He put his hands in his pockets and headed towards the main part of Farron.
Farron.
That's his cousin's last name. Cousin Lightning. Kirby sighed again. He missed her. All he remembers is that she had gone very, very far away because she had really important things to do. Kirby respected her too. The last time he spoke to her was when he was about 5 years old. Kirby hasn't seen her ever since. He continued his walk into the middle of Farron.
~Link Baxter~ "Huh? Oh yeah, sure." Link sat himself up, helped Silver, and then, they were off. No need to stay where they weren't wanted. Link just hoped that Tails was still at the 'Twins house.~Dawn Estheim~ "I can't believe you're actually making a deal with this guy. Who ARE you anyways?" Dawn glared towards the pink haired man, still cloaked in black.
