if naruto does die in Boruto, who will be Hokage? I'm not saying he will, but who do you think would replace him or who do you think will be Hokage after him?

 

I'm gonna go with Kakashi because of this reason-When Minato died as lord 4th, the previous Hokage who was alive at the time (Hiruzen Sarutobi) took back his position. So if Naruto dies, Kakashi the previous Hokage will take back his place.

If Kakashi doesn't want to be Hokage, I'd say Shikamaru is a good choice since he's Naruto's advisor and one of the smartest ninja in the entire series. Definetly one of Konoha's finest.

I want Sasuke to be Hokage as well since he's stronger than Naruto at the time of Naruto Gaiden and he's very smart. But he's killed innocents, invaded a Kage Summit and tried to kill them, abandoned his village and sided with the Akatsuki in the past. I know this is in the past and he's different now, but the people of Konoha would probably object to him being their leader. Danzo wanted Orochimaru to be Hokage but Hiruzen objected because of all the evil things Orochimaru did and he was untrustworthy. I could see the same things happening with Sasuke. Also, this would worsen the relationship between him and Sarada

Both have pale skin

Both have yellow eyes (although Mitsuki's eyes are dots, not snake eyes)

Both have the ability to disconnect their joints with chakra to extend their limbs. Like Mitsuki in the trailers with his arm, and Orochimaru with his neck.

 

It's confirmed, but I don't know how Orochimaru did this. Maybe he is asexual? Or maybe he did find a girl? IDK, but we may find out in the movie)

It's time for this thread to rise just like a weird exploding zombie, because we've got some new stuff to cover!

 

As we all know, the Naruto anime concluded its adaptation of the manga a while back and did a bit of background filler focused on each of the characters as children after that. However, for anyone that was unaware, the anime is now adapting the light novels that were written after Kishimoto finished the manga! While they weren't written by Kishimoto, they're still canon, and with some new canon material being adapted (that I'd imagine not many of us have read), I figured that this would be a great time to bring this thread back to discuss these new episodes! Today marked the beginning of the adaptation of the novel Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise.

 

 

I'm really liking this arc already. It's a little weird seeing everyone back in their designs from The Last again, but it's a good kind of weird if that makes sense. The whole plot regarding the explosive zombies is interesting (And also made things get dark fast, and to make matters worse, we had the old man kill himself in the flames that engulfed a building after his daughter exploded... dang), and it's fun seeing everyone interact at this point in the story, especially with Naruto and Hinata being married now. I'm really interested in seeing where this plot with the Lightning Gang leads, especially with that new doujutsu their leader seems to be using!

 

... and yes, for all the long-time people on this thread, I can't end this without mentioning Sakura getting super flustered over the discussion of Sasuke's return. Seeing Sakura break her responsible mood over things like this will always be fun.

 

I, for one, welcome our new exploding overlords.

Why is the thread dead?

I came to say I paused at just the right time in today's episode

I dunno. Lack of interest I guess. Can barely drum up interest for Boruto too.

The manga ending killed the thread off. We've got the Boruto thread for Boruto but that's been pretty inactive; a lot of people seem to think the anime's doing non-canon filler now so most people who were watching before might have dropped, too.

Well, Shippuden's four hundredth and ninety ninth episode dropped, and that means we are, in fact, one episode away from the finale of Shippuden and by extension, the finale episode of the continuing Naruto anime franchise. Boruto not included, that's a different thread.

 

Just to give you a sense of how massive this show has become, here's how much Naruto has been on TV since its inception:

 

The first episode of the original Naruto anime aired on October 3, 2002 and ran until February 8, 2007 with a total of 220 episodes. One week later on February 15, 2007, in typical long-running anime fashion, the first episode of its sequel, Naruto Shippuden, aired and with the 500th episode coming up, the entire Naruto anime franchise will have consisted of 720 anime episodes and will have been airing semi-consistently for a grant total of 15 years.

 

What I'm trying to say is that I feel really old, guys . No but really: even though the original manga has been over for at least three years now, the anime has been our one source of keeping the brand alive, per se. Again, I don't include Boruto because in a way, it's a whole different realm entirely.

 

That's why I'm both happy and sad for the finale of Shippuden. Anybody who's followed anything for a really long time, especially since they were a kid, knows what it's like to finally see that thing come to an end, and for me, and I'm sure a lot of you people too, Naruto is one of them. It's a feeling of letting go but also of cherishing the moments and experiences you've felt along the way.

 

To think, all the way back in 2002, we were introduced to Naruto (well not "we" necessarily, but we as in kids in Japan who watched the anime and/or didn't read the manga) as a misfit little kid with a demon sealed inside of him with a ton of emotional baggage, and now after seeing him blossom into maturity over the years as both a teenager and now a grown man, we're going to experience him at the peak of his adult years with happiness and growth and marrying his soulmate. That's deep stuff right there.

 

I've had a good time with Naruto and I look forward to what his little kid shows us in his own show.
