Jurassic World is supposedly a direct sequel to Jurassic Park.

And to be a butt, the other two sequels are people going to the old parks, not new ones. The same island, Isle Sorna, is in 1 and 3, while Nubular, the original F-up, is in Lost World.

I think Jurassic World is set on Sorna, too, so that kinda makes it the same park re-opened. 

Hammond's died in canon, so I guess some other idiot took up the work.
