The saddest one is one to a woman dying of cancer...so they bought her Stephen King's Dreamcatcher..... O.o

old books are great, to be honest. 

Well the working title of that book was "Cancer" so..hmm. That is very sad though.

And odd, sometimes: I've got a collection of 60's and 70's paperbacks, and they defy reason sometimes. The old Alfred hitchcock ones are crazy

I own some older books. Generally from around the 80s and early 90s I think. But one of them is a box set of all the Narnia books. They're from 1973.

 

The box holding them though is crap and all broken. Books seem to be okay though. Haven't really gone through them.

 

They were owned by my uncle, but somebody else before him.

 

I ended up with a lot of my uncle's books that my grandma ended up giving to me.

Cheap a$$ paperbacks without covers: Easy.

And her Sleeping Beauty trilogy was a real butt to find, but I lucked into library paperbacks-made-into-hardback copies.
