So... A guy started a petition to make Nintendo put Smash Bros on the Vita. His reasoning?

 

 

 

Nintendo NEEDS to port this game to the PSVita. Many of us Sony fans don't want to buy an underpowered console like the Nintendo 3DS, but we would gladly buy a quality title like Smash Bros. Not only would it be benefical for both fans and Nintendo, but probably also REQUIRED by US anititrust law, since Nintendo has a monopoly on games like Smash Bros. by virtue of having no competing title.

This is just... Wow. I don't even know what to say.

Wow, is this guy serious?  What the dude fails to understand is the fact that Smash Bros. is a Nintendo exclusive property, and porting it to the Vita wouldn't make sense! Smash Bros. is one of the poster children of Nintendo, and whenever an entry comes out, it's generally a console seller for Nintendo, as Nintendo console sales skyrocket.  And that's viewing it from a business standpoint!  If we go to the sheer root of this, it's the fact that Smash is a game where Nintendo's greatest collide in colossal battles for the fun of it, and it should always be for Nintendo consoles.  "Hey, wanna play Smash Bros. on Vita?"  Wait, what?  Smash is Nintendo!  Some people need to understand what console exclusivity means.

You're acting like this is a matter of a system handling a system, though. Not whether or not it could actually be ported to it.

 

Well it can't be ported for a hundred reasons. You take whatever reason you want.
