OK. So Sephiroth's been the only FF villian that we've seen making an appearince in the KH games (mainly KH1 and KH2). But what about all the other villians? I don't get why they haven't used other FF villians in KH yet? I mean there's Kefka, Ex-Death, Kuja, Ultimacia, Caius Ballad, ect and yet they haven't been put to any good use in the KH games. Sure Final Fantasy VII is the most popular game in the FF franchise but I would like to see other FF villians too, y'know. Heck, Ultimacia should've been in KH3D since that game is all about time travel and other stuff about time. I'm sure she would've used that in some way to rule all the worlds (similiar to her FF8 counterpart. though i found her evil plot in that game to be utterly stupid). And what about Kefka, huh? He's  pretty much "The Joker" of Final Fantasy. I can see him teaming up with Xehanort and maybe back stabbing him in the end to use Kingdom hearts to become the God of Magic like in FF6. And than there's Caius Ballad. Boy do I wish Square put him more into good use. Especially since they barely gave him any purpose in Lightning Returns. He was just...there in that game when he should've been main villian in that game since he used time travel  just to save Yuel and end her sufering and caused the ending of XIII-2. He probably woul've fit more into KH3D than Ultimacia. I can see him meeing Sora and battling him and joining the Organization all just to save the KH version of Yuel. It's good to see the good FF characters, but KH could use more FF villians too Square. Heck, FF is almost non-existant in KH at this point since we're starting to see less and less of FF characters in the newer KH games.

Nomura had to fight to get Setzer even a cameo in KHII. Square only wants FF characters that the general audience remembers. Most people don't know Kefka, or Ex-Death or even Ultimecia. But they do know Sephiroth. Hell, most people don't even know Squall Leonhart, which is probably part of the reason they changed his name and even overall personality. But people do know Cloud and Aerith and Tifa.

 

I always view the FF series in two lights. Everything before and after FFVII. FFVII was what exploded the FF franchise into the public consciousness, thus the characters in that game and since are more widely known than anybody beforehand...which is really the only reason they're put in Kingdom Hearts. Because 'Hey, look! It's Cloud!'

Which is sad, really. All those good villians and people can't even be bothered to remember them? For shame. There have been other good villians besides Sephiroth that have gotten just as good of character development and goals as mama's boy (looking at you Kefka and Caius).

It'd be great to fight other FF villians in KH3,the Sephiroth battles are epic and all,but what was so great about them was the surprise in my opinion.If Sephiroth is the only FF boss again in KH3 it will be fine I guess,but not as exciting as before,but if they do something like the Organisation data battles in KH2FM with all the main FF villian including Sephiroth I'd be epic. I don't think they will though,I'd be too good to be true.

He only puts in characters that he designed. It has nothing to do with popularity.

I definitely would not complain if Caius appeared in KH3.

Oh wow, imagine if in KH III Maleficent got her team back together, or a new one, and Sephiroth gathered his own team of FF villains!

I know Vivi and Setzer made it in, but it took a lot of convincing for him to do so much as those.
