Since when did Pokemon turn into Animal Crossing?

 

I know we had bases in the original Ruby and Sapphire but still

You're right, AC came out 2002 for n64, I think. I was only joking :DD.

The first Animal Crossing was on the N64, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't released before RSE.

 

And after looking it up, yeah, Animal Crossing 64 was released a year before RSE in Japan.
