Perfect. It's almost Christmas and it certainly doesn't feel like it. Nick sat in his little meeting room somewhere in Alaska: he was supposed to host the meeting today since it is almost HIS holiday. So he was. He would host it in the North Pole, but his dad was still pissed off at him. Took away most of his 'Santa Magic.' To top it all off, he was having a terrible hangover from drinking some Vodnog the night before. He sat there at the long round table, head in his arms as he tried to nap at the table before the others arrived.

Miguel already arrived. He loved coming to these things just to watch Nick get annoyed at everyone. He sat down in his usual seat with a snicker. "Hola my red-nosed amigo."

"Did you hear me say that you're not allowed to be here?" Nick asked with an aggravated groan.

"Didn't YOU hear me say that I don't give a firetruck and I do what I want?" With that, Miguel kicked back and relaxed while he waited for the others, most notably Grim and Samhain. He liked them the most. Especially Samhain. He was so adorable. He didn't know if the other infected holidays would show up. The gloomed infected were technically banned from the meetings recently, but they could still show up. He was gloomed himself, but at least it didn't really change him; it was like a cold to him so far.

(Yes. The varmill does have a phone. However, it's one of those old cell phones from like, 2003...Like a Nokia 1100, or something like that. He's kinda slow on technology...)

After the rumbling stopped, Patty was glad none of the many busts in the library hadn't  fallen.

     "An earthquake?...Oh dear...Hope it doesn't get any worse..." He unconsciously held Ayano's hand again. "Don't feel scared or get bad vibes, dear. E-Even if there happens to be an earthquake, I-I'll make sure ya' don' get hurt! We are friends after all!", he reassured her with a sweet smile.

He started to follow the librarian to her desk. As he walked through the library, he spotted the mysterious Book of Kells. He smiled. He really admired all of the work and dedication the humans put into the ancient manuscript.

     "So...", the varmill said to the librarian. "You just found this book sittin' around here, huh? Odd. I apologize on my companions behalf. I-I'm not sure why they would just leave it here like that...And here in Dublin, no less..."

During his little apology, he heard the pitter-patter of rain on the roof. He sighed.

     "Oh, lovely. We should really hurry and get this book and the gifts from the cathedral. I really don't feel like walking in the rain today...", he muttered to Ayano.

((Yes he is Key,^^ but not for long. :())

 Just like what Varmill did, Ayano looked around the books lining the shelves. She was tempted to pull a book out and start reading, but now wasn't the time. 'After this whole gloom situation is over, I'll probably come here to read the books anyway.' As Ayano thought about this, she pictured herself sitting on one of the comfy chairs with a lamp over her. While she was sipping on tea, she would read a wonderful, entertaining book, and hopefully be next to the warm fireplace. After thinking about that, she felt some pressure lifting off her shoulders. Smiling back at Varmill, she said. "If you don't wanna get wet, we could use something else for transportation. " She didn't want to mention her tunnels with the librarian around, but the holiday should know what she's talking about.

(Oh no! But... That is so sad. I like secretly nice Clover.)

The librarian walked down the aisle to her desk, listening to the green-haired man's apology. "It's fine, we find lost things here all the time. Pencils, notebooks, water bottles, socks..." She reached her desk and pulled a notebook out of the drawer. It was thick for a journal, about an inch and a half. The cover was gray and undecorated, and it looked pretty old, though not beaten up. "Here it is," stated the librarian, handing the odd book to the polite green haired person. She smiled and said goodbye before walking to another section of the library, contemplating what a strange afternoon this had been.

Aurora directed Saturn to her contacts (this took a few tries, Saturn had never seen a cell phone before), and they waited as the cell phone rung. 'Hey Saturn,' 'yes?' 'I was too freaked out earlier to celebrate you coming up with a semi-peaceful solution on your own with Clover!' 'Don't get used to it. I was only trying because it would have made your friend who we are calling upset if he was hurt, based on what you said earlier. Looking at the outcome, I probably won't avoid slashing an enemy up next time.' 'Well... It's a start.' 'You... Are in dire need of a brain. Did you listen to me at all?' Aurora considered this. 'Yes. You said that you were considering how the Varmill would feel if you hurt Clover.' '... I give up.' The phone rang again.

 "Ah! Yes. Thank you very much!~ Have a very Merry Christmas!~", he said while waving goodbye to her. He gave a deep sigh of relief and looked at Ayano with a smile.

  "Alright, we've got the book! Come on, let's get goin'. Hey, you like readin', yeah? If you want, you can come here anytime, ya' know!~", He said to her as he walked towards the exit. "Now, about the rain. Well, I-I do 'ave one umbrella. it's just...I-It's the only one I've got...Look..."

He walked outside, pulled out a wrapped umbrella. Before the rain could really assault them, Patty opened the umbrella, and it covered both his head and Ayano's.

It looked like a frog.

 "I don' have money for a new one. It's embarrassin'. Don' tell the other 'olidays about this..." His entire face was red and he looked away from Ayano. "S...Sorry...". He cleared his throat. "Now, to the cathedral...somehow! Oh, I can't wait 'till you all see yer' gifts!"

Then his phone rang.

  "Oh? I have a call?" He took it out from his pocket and answered it.

 "Yes? 'Ello? Who is this?"

Grim held his staff gently as he looked around at the elves. This was the first time he'd ever visited the workshop. "We can debunk myths later." Grim muttered on Miguel's comment about the elves. He tilted his head. "We're here to save your holiday. Just give us the presents and directions. I know every children in the world as well due to my job. we should be able to deliver the gifts easily enough." Grim offered. Next thing he knew something was falling on him. He looked up. It looked like a giant hose. No. A tube? Regardless it landed right on him, covering him from head to toe. The tube moved around as it covered Grim, making sounds of honks and machinery. "H-Hey, what are you-? What are you doing with my pants?!" Grim complained from the inside. About a minute after, the tube released him, lifting up to reveal Grim once more. Instead of his usual attire however, now he was wearing a very christmasy attire that would fit right in with the new task ahead of him. His scythe had a large bow wrapped around it, and the handle had wrapping that made it look like a giant candy cane. The colors were so bright it made Grim feeling sick until he could get accustomed to them. "I look stupid."

...

Aoba rubbed Nick's head. What could be causing this fever? "A library called for you and was asking for you because you left some books...that wasn't you? Because they had your cellphone number..."

Saturn just about dropped the strange box as it started talking. "Yes? 'Ello? Who is this?" 'Aurora... Is your "phone" possessed?' 'No, it is just projecting the Varmill's voice using a system of radio waves and satellites.' 'Wha???' 'Never mind, just tell him about Clover.' 'How?' 'Start talking normally, it will send your voice to the Varmill.' 'Right.' "Hello Mr. Varmill, this is Saturn speaking. I am Aurora's... Branch holiday? Split personality?... that was raised from the dead this afternoon." 'That's an... Interesting introduction.' 'Shut up Aurora.' "Anyways, I have some news for you about Clover. We ran into him earlier, and he got kind of angry, but when that happened his eyes sort of... Glowed yellow. And then later he was talking about illusions, and how they would be stronger when he took over, and he sounded so confused afterwards... and then he didn't kill us later... So, to make a long story short, Aurora thinks that he is being possessed by the gloom and he is still secretly nice, or something to that effect, and she figured we should tell you." 'That is one way to put it...' 'I am talking to a guy who could be thousands of miles away and I don't even know him and I am terrible at being tactful. In addition this is my first time using your possessed box. Let's see you do better.' 'I don't think I could replicate your exact conditions...' 'Excuses.'

Miguel watched as the weird tube fell over Grimm. Grimm's clothes changed into some kind of Santa attire. Miguel snorted a bit.

"Dios mio!" He said, holding back laughter. "If Papi was here to see this, his face would be excelenté!" He was about to say more, but the same tube fell over Miguel next.

"Aieee! Don't touch my tie and fancy shirt!!!" Miguel's clothes changed too, but something not as nice... He was dressed as a reindeer!

"Q-Que?! Estoy un perro?!" (W-What?! I'm a dog?!) Miguel put his hands to his head, and then to his nose. On his nose was a big red ball.

"A-Antlers?! Narise rojo?!" (Red nose?! - The narise is probably spelt wrong, but I haven't learned Spanish in like forever)

The large crowd of elves looked on in confusion. Some of them suddenly separated, almost like Moses and the Red Sea. Another elf emerged, looking rather aggravated.

"Great. You three actually showed up." He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

Meanwhile, Nick placed his hand ontop of Aoba's. Right now all he wanted to do was sleep. But he couldn't. Especially with the state his holiday was in. "I could've had the book, I don't freakin' know. I probably was too smashed to even remember it." He tried to sit up once more, and only held his stomach. "Something happened... It has be why I'm sick. I know it..."

(Miguel's costume:

He's also wearing a red ball rudolf nose btw too.)

Jack suddenly appeared and busted  out of laughter at Miguel."Hahaha Miguel. Lo sentimos , pero te ves estúpido." Laughed lack who followed the two all this way. To be honest however it was probably good to get his mind of the recently defected mercury.

"So need any help you two?" He asked and floated slightly away from any impending danger of changing attire.

SOMEWHERE RANDOM:

Mercury was looking through some sort of strange crystal orb.

"Sorry Jack but it's time I became an active to."

Patty listened to the mysterious voice speak.

     "O-Oh...Well, nice to meet ya' miss, um...Saturn...." He put the phone on speaker so Ayano could listen as well. "Oh...Aurora's split personality? Okay..."

The varmill kept on listening to 'Saturn'. Then she talked about Clover. The varmill's heart jumped up and his eyes widened.

     "Clover?! Well, what happened?! He didn't hurt you, did he?!" He kept on listening. "Yellow eyes...He's being possessed by the gloom?..." He blushed when she said he might still be secretly nice. "R-Really?! You mean he can still be helped?! That...That's wonderful!~ S-So, where are you right now? And...where is Clover?"

He looked over at Ayano and whispered.

     "Hey, do you wanna come with me to see him? Maybe we can help!"

He was way too excited for words. Clover could still be okay! He knew it! He really knew it! The thought of it almost brought him to tears of joy. He wanted Clover to know he would always try to be there for him, to help him out of this if he could, and this could be the perfect opportunity!

Patty felt a warmth in his chest.

     "Oh...all the beautiful things you used to like in someone that were lost...can possibly be saved...", he muttered with rosy cheeks and a smile. Then his eyes widened. "Did I...say that out loud?..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, inside the empty St. Patrick's Cathedral, a bundle of gifts sit on one of the many seats in the back. Aoba's in particular, was opened, and right next to it was a small, dark creature, sleeping soundly on the seat, waiting for Patty's return. It had the darkest blue coat and eyes one could ever imagine. It was wearing a festive red bow around its neck for the occasion. Suddenly, the creature heard the sound of rain on the roof of the cathedral.
It awoke and slowly perked it's head up
and spoke.
     "Rain? Hmm. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer until he comes back.", it muttered.
With that, the small puppy went right back to sleep.
Saturn sort of froze up when the Varmill asked where they were. 'Wait, we can't tell him where Clover is most likely to be without telling where we are. You said it could be dangerous for them to be around us...' 'Tell him where we are and the direction Clover left in, tell him that we are infected and have been before, and say that we are leaving for his safety. Please try to explain as nicely as you can.' "No, we aren't hurt... Well, sort of. We are infected now, but he only gave us a small cut, which was part of the confusing behavioral stuff... We are at Newgrange, Ireland, and Clover headed west from here. Actually, we are going to leave before you get here, we have been infected before for over three hundred years, and Aurora thinks the prior exposure may speed up any adverse reactions. Translation: we are leaving to make sure we don't hurt you. Good luck with finding Clover if that is what you want." 'No, tell them not to go looking for him! He could infect them!' "Sorry, actually Aurora said to ask you not to look for him until we find a cure, we don't want him to infect you too. He seemed pretty angry at you... Is there anything else you need to know?" 'You realize you are pretty much encouraging them to look for him...' 'I have no idea what you are talking about.'
     "Rain? Hmm. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer until he comes back.", it muttered.
((OH MY GOD IT'S RENNNN, SO CUTEEEEEE! >////<))
 "Clover? Angry at Varmill?" Ayano knew they were friends before Clover was infected with the gloom, but why was Clover mad at him besides the gloom influencing him? Suddenly she realized something. "Wait, did you just say that you were infected?" It was true Clover only gave them a small cut, but it still pissed her off that he was going off infecting holidays. After thinking for abit Ayano sighed, "We understand that you're leaving so you won't hurt us so..please take care of yourself." She thought about Grim when he was in pain from being infected. She didn't want anymore holidays or entities suffering from this infection. She turned to Varmil as she whispered back. "I know she says not to go look for Clover, but it's your choice since he's your friend."
- - - - -
 "Tch, my head hurts." Clover muttered to himself. He clutched his head. Ever since he spared Aurora, a huge headache washed over him. Feeling a little dizzy, he lied down on the grass. Suddenly, a random thought occured in his head. 'Isn't Christmas almost here?' He thought about Varmill who was the only holiday who gave him a present. For some reason, the green holiday could always guess what Clover wanted for Christmas. Thinking about Varmill made his headache even worse. 'Dammit, could I be sick?' Well, he was lying here in the cold.
  "Huh? You're in Newgrange? Oh my, that is quite a ways on foot...Well, I understand that you don't want to hurt us and...I'm so sorry you got infected, or...have been infected before." Then, Saturn said that Clover seemed angry at the varmill.
     "Hm? Why is he angry at me? Was it because I didn't apologize to him for slapping him earlier?...", he thought. "Anyways, No. I don't think we have anymore questions. Take care of yourself, okay? Saturn and Aurora. We'll try to figure out what to do next. Thanks again and goodbye." With that, he hung up the phone and put it back in his pocket.
The varmill looked at the ground and sighed.
     "I just don't know, lass. I mean, I do know Clover. He is my friend, yer' right. I do want to go see 'im, but if I do, I'd have to stay on my guard. Besides, I want to apologize for whatever I did that made 'im mad at me. Oh, AND...and give 'im his gift.~ Oh heck!! If I do see him, I'll probably just act like awkward shudderin' wreck!".
He sighed and looked at Ayano with worrying eyes.
     "Well, I say since I know him well, I should go talk to him, j-just so that he doesn't go infectin' others! But...I dunno about you...do you think you can...take us to Newgrange? That is...if you want to...", he asked shyly.
Oh oh let me be that person
"A-Antlers?! Nariz rojo?!" (Red nose?! - The narise is probably spelt wrong, but I haven't learned SpanishPosted Image in like forever)
On another note. Ren for Christmas? YES PLEASE
Grim didn't laugh. Instead he smirked to himself as he watched. "It's Miguel the reindeer." Grim chuckled as he turned over to the elf. "You should be a bit grateful. Otherwise your holiday will be screwed as you now have a limited timePosted Image to find a replacement." Grim said, slowly turning to the laughing Jack. "You're already an entity related to the time of Christmas and winter, Jack. You might as well make it your responsibility to help within this matter, and not Lucifer, the Grim Reaper, and the Day of the Dead." Grim spoke, sarcasm in his voice due to the irony of the situation. These three deathly themed beings were far from Christmas related, and now they were trying to save it. "Nick fainted right before I left. I don't know his condition, by the way." Grim said to the elf as he paused, a frown growing upon his face. "I am sorry I cannot give you an advanced date for Nikolas Senior's death, however." Grim added. Holidays and entities didn't count. In the end, technically, they didn't had a soul. If they had one, regardless, they would disappear into nothing. There was no place for them after Death. Not even Death himself could do much about it, to which he shrugged it off.
...
Aoba helped Nick sit up and tilted his head. "Well, Grim sensed something off. People had died out of his schedule, and their causes of death were labeled as Gloom, so he went to investigate it further. Miguel went right after him." Aoba explained. He thought. "If it's affecting you too..." He then shook his head. "Should I call your father?" Aoba finally asked. "I know you and the old man are in bad terms, but if something has happened and you feel sick it has to be related to your holiday, he and the elves could know something." Aoba said as he picked up Nick's phone from the floor. "Or I could call Grim. Either way!"
Miguel glared to Grimm, and started to yell at Jack. "Vete a la mierda , gilipollas ! Espero que tengas que llevar mierda renos como un traje !" (firetruck you, you a**hole! I hope you have to wear reindeer s*** as a costume!) Miguel crossed his arms, and sat there on the floor looking like the biggest pissed off little kid ever. "Your Spanish is terribly, by the way."
The elf ran his hands through his hair. "Jack Frost is here?! No! You have to get out, Jack! You do more destroying of Christmas than you do even ASSISTING Christmas!" Grimm mentioned something about warning the death of Santa, and the elf quickly shook his head.
"Father Christmas isn't dead!" He said, which caused the elves to gasp as if Grimm caused them to think that he was. "The heart attack just put him in critical condition. Some of the nursing elves are looking after him. They don't know if he's going to make it, though... Ms. Claus is with him too..."
Nick gave a small nod to Aoba. Nick know something must be wrong with his father. Nick only ever got like this because of that. He couldn't call his father however. "Yeah... Call Grimm. Ask what's going on..."
Aoba saluted. "Sir yes sir!" Aoba said as he picked up Nick's phone and looked through his contacts, quickly selecting Grim and calling him.
...
Grim rubbed Miguel's head. "Such foul vocabulary." Grim noted, before turning to the elves. "Well I'm glad he's still alive, at least, and you should let Jack join us. The Grim Reaper, the fallen angel Lucifer and the Day of the Dead are already on the train to deliver presents on Christmas eve, adding Jack Frost isn't exactly going to make it any worse." Grim spoke. Suddenly a ringtone. "HE'S MY BEST FRIEND, BEST OF ALL BEST FRIENDS...!~" Grim ever so calmly reached into his pocket and took out his cellphone. It was a rose pink color with a Clear chain from the series DRAMAtical Murder. "Oh hold on, I gotta take this." Grim said as he answered the call. "Jellow. Grim Reaper speaking. You stab them, we grab them. We put the FUN in funeral-!" Then high pitched speaking. "Oh it's you, Aoba." More speaking. "Something wrong? Besides the fact that Nick's too drunk to take care of his own holiday?" Grim turned to look around. What a predicament. "Well, Santa might've had a stroke. Heart attack. Surprise break dancing. Take your pick. He's still alive, by the way."
...
Aoba paused. A heart attack? Oh no. "Nick...your dad just had a heart attack." Aoba said, a very worried look on his face.
Grim's ringtone:
Miguel gasped as Grim's cellphone rang. "You have THAT ringtone registered for Nick?! But what about me??? That puto has nothing on me!" He looked as if he just got shot right in the heart. Oh the pain. "Oh Guada I feel so hurt!"
The elf rolled his eyes. "Fine. You might as well invite Halloween and Caps Lock Day while you're at it. This holiday is already mucked up as it is." He clicked his tongue once Grim's ringtone began to ring. "Such distasteful music... What ever happened to the pleasant festive tunes everyone used to use?"
Nick suddenly felt as if he was hit by a train. He was unsure of what to say, for he felt a lump right in his throat. He just layed there for a while, looking straight into nothingness. He wanted to see his father immediately, but he knew that Santa wouldn't want that. Hell, Nick wouldn't even be allowed in his own father's funeral. Nick knew exactly why too; he was a disgraceful piece of mucked up dirt.
"So Jingi am i aboard?" Jack asked jokingly giving the elf a pat on the head and heard about Santa's condition.
"The old man ... Is one hell of an asshole. I mean so what his son got drunk on his holiday. I think they should get things sorted out before this gets any worse. He actually wants his son to live with never being able to clean up the mess he made. He has no right to call himself Santa if he fails that badly as a person."
Those words just slipped out of his throat like a stream that suddenly busted out of nothing. Knowing what he said he immediately shut his mouth and landed next to Miguel.
Grim turned to Miguel intrigued by his response. He smirked a bit to himself, but disguised it as a smile as he responded. "You know Miguel, if I were to play the ringtone I have for you in Santa's shop right now I would go straight into the naughty list. After all, it is Partners in Crime by Set it off." He said, suddenly grabbing Miguel by the hands and spinning around slightly. "You'll never take us live, we swear that Death due us part, they'll call our crimes a work of art, you'll never take us alive, we'll live like spoiled royalty, lovers and partners, partners in crime, does that make you feel better?" Grim asked teasingly, quoting the song before just as easy letting go of Miguel and turning to the elf as if nothing ever happened. "Festive music is good until it is played so often it leads to insanity." Grim mentioned. He then turned to Jack. "You are correct in the matters that young Nick has not been the best example of a holiday, but if one holiday falls down, the others will too. Besides. No christmas means no fun for you now is it, Jack?" Grim asked as he turned to the elf. "We have no more time to waste. Lend us the sled to carry the presents, we will deliver them quickly and get it over with. Then you won't have to see us, or hear our taste in music, again." Grim assured. He then turned to the cellphone again. "Aoba listen, Lucifer, Miguel, Jack and I are going to like, save christmas, so you can tell Nick he doesn't have to worry." With that, he hung up.
...
Aoba felt frantic. For once, Nick actually looked like he was feeling remorse. The sight of him being so thoughtful actually made him scared. Actually, he didn't know what was more frightening, the fact that the death squad and jack frost were going to handle christmas, or the fact that he didn't know how Nick was going to react to that. "Well Nick, there's a bright side! Your dad isn't dead and...Grim, Miguel, Lucifer and Jack Frost are going to deliver the presents and handle Christmas this year."
Clover's luck was not with him today. His eyes were beginning to get heavy and the wind was causing him to shiver. He knew he tend to get sick easily, but the gloom
should be protecting him from things like fever. As time continued to pass, he felt his conscious fading. Deciding to finally give in, Clover closed his eyes, and went unconscious.
- - - - -
 When Varmill hanged up the phone and asked her a question, Ayano grinned. "Of course, but we have to go somewhere so nobody can see me summoning a tunnel." Grabbing the holiday's hand, she took him to an empty alleyway. After making sure there were no mortals around, with a tap of a foot, a tunnel was created. "West of Newgrange, hopefully this will be close enough to reach him." With that, the two jumped into the tunnel.
 At the other side, harsh wind greeted them. "Jeez, it's freezing. We need to look for Clover quick and find a warm place to talk to." Just as she said that, she spotted a figure 30 meters away from them. "Wait..is that him?" Ayano ran toward the figure and there was Clover, lying on the ground. Being extremely cautious, she slowly walked up to the boy and dared to put her hand on his forehead. "What the, Clover has a huge fever!"
The varmill smiled at Ayano's response.
"Oh, you will?? Thank you!"
As she grabbed his hand, he kept smiling. She created a rabbit hole in the allyway and they hopped in.
When they arrived at Newgrange in the west, a painful squall pierced them both.
"Brrrr!!! Y-Y-Y-Yer' right! W-We need t-to find him q-q-q-quick!!
He followed Ayano to a figure. It was Clover, unconscious in the grass. Ayano felt his head and said that he had a fever.
"He WHAT?!" The varmill frantically ran to his side, dropping his umbrella. He felt Clover's head as well. It was burning hot. The varmill was very panicked.
"Oh no no no! This can't be happenin'!"
The varmill lifted up Clover and tossed him over his shoulder.
"I know a place!"
He flicked his necklace and he glowed in a silver light. Then he grabbed Ayano's hand and the three disappeared in a white flash of light.
(TBC Because PS3's character limit is stupid...)
Saturn stood, trying and failing to shake some of the freezing water from her wings. 'Right then, where to?' 'Hmm... I would feel safest in China or Central America, but we probably have an hour or so till the... Less than desirable affects come into play, now that the gloom has had over seven minutes to spread through the entire bloodstream...' 'Yeah, nope.' Saturn shivered as the wind blew in her face. 'I can't get us that far that fast, especially without being seen. If we fly above the clouds right now, we will turn into an ice cube.' 'Ok then, England's too obvious. What about my Goseck Circle base? It has been about a century since I visited my country of origin.' 'Germany it is. Then what?' Saturn queried as she took off towards the East. 'Research. Being infected with an evil parasitic pathogen that feeds on and fuels negative emotion and is trying to take over the world is no excuse for being lazy.' 'How long have we got before... Well, before we get as bad as last time?' 'A few months... On a VERY optimistic time scale.' 'Then we should hurry.' 'Yep' Saturn smiled at her sister's personal brand of insanity. She had missed this.
(Sorry Hargleblargleboo, I was going to wait for you to continue, but I have to go to bed.)
(It's all good, Key!~)
The three holidays were teleported into a small cottage in the woods of Ireland. The varmill's home.
"Sorry, Ayano. Can you do me a favor and get a warm washcloth for me? They're in the kitchen hanging by the sink. I'll be right back!"
Still carrying Clover, Patty went into his bedroom, tossed Clover onto the bed, and turned the light on.
"Ooh, this lad!" Patty muttered as he ran and got a towel. "He walked all that way from Newgrange, lying in the wet grass in 40 degree weather in the rain?! For Heaven's sake Clov, are you crazy?!"
He pulled up a chair by the bed and sat down. Patty propped Clover up and started to dry him off with the towel. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Patty's childhood cat, Puss, was sleeping on the kitchen counter.
Miguel was delighted and instantly cheered up by what Grimm just said. "Partners in crime?! Mi amigo mucho~!" He happily danced with his partner for a bit, but had to stop since this was a very serious matter. If Miguel continued, he would've salsa'd. Suddenly, Jack basically told Santa off, and Miguel put his hand over his mouth.
"Oooooooooooooooooooooh sh**!!" Miguel said, almost snorting.
The elf was taken aback, and absolutely speechless with what just happened.
"It's Jangle and NO! YOU ARE NOT APART OF THIS TEAM, FROST!" He was about to call the reindeer security, but Grimm somehow manages to calm him down. Jangle stopped for a moment, and took a few deep breaths.
"... Fine. First of all, Father Christmas is an outstanding man! Secondly, I am letting you join this mission ONLY because we are desperate to recruit the likes of you... People. You better not except any rewards or gifts! You are already on the naughty list as it is, Frost."
Meanwhile, Nick suddenly put a pillow to his mouth, and yelled. He just wanted to die right now. The trio of Death?! And Christmas?! Plus the biggest nuisance of winter?!
"F*** MY LIFE!!! THIS IS BULL*** ***** ******* ** ******** *****%#*$$@&$&@%#!!!" He screamed into the pillow. He wished Death could strike him with a thunderbolt or something.
 "Sure thing," As she said that, Ayano headed for the kitchen. The first thing she spotted when she arrived was Varmill's cat. Smiling at the little fluffball, Ayano scratched the cat behind it's ear. However, she shouldn't get distracted, she needed to get the washcloth for the holiday after all. Getting the washcloth, she washed it over with warm water at the sink, then squeezed most of the water out of the cloth. When she walked into bedroom, and handed Varmill the cloth, she couldn't help but wonder aloud, "What should we do if Clover wakes up? He might wreck the place."
(BTW, this is what Puss looks like.)
Puss was satisfied with Ayano's scratches as she woke up. When she stopped scratching her, she got up and stretched out her legs, jumped off the counter and followed Ayano, meowing for more scratches.
After drying the leprechaun off, Patty gently placed Clover on the bed again. He turned to Ayano and took the cloth, pulling up a chair for her, just in case she wanted to sit down. He put the washcloth on Clover's forehead.
     "Oh. Thank you lass." Then, Puss jumped up on Ayano's seat and stole it. She meowed to get the holiday's attention. "I see you've met Ol' Puss." the varmill commented. "Well, we can check things like his pockets ta' make sure he doesn't have any weapons. Or tie him up, or somethin'. Unless he's gonna be too weak to do anythin'." He sighed. "I guess after we search his pockets, I can make some tea and get some leftover soda bread if ya' want."
With that, Patty cautiously went around to other side of the bed and started to dig in Clover's pockets. As he did, Puss took stole his chair and jumped on the bed. She walked over to Clover's side and sat beside him.
     "Oh, Puss! I guess ya' missed him!...Or the bed..." Patty said to his cat. "Ayano, you can check his pockets on your side." The varmill felt something in Clover's pocket. "Aha! That must be the flute!~", he said.
