Hey guys! 'Sup? So just some thoughts I'd like to share with you all about numbers and especially the number 3 in the world of Kingdom Hearts. Nothing really significant, just some figures that have been knocking around in my head for a while now. So everyone talks about the significance of the numbers 13 and 7 in the KH universe, but I haven't heard too much talk about the number 3. It largely seems to be ignored in the greater discussions involving KH. The number 3 is one of the most symbolic of all numbers outside of 13 and 7. 13 is traditionally associated with bad luck and ill fortune. 7 in the Bible represents completion, and is also considered lucky. 3 is also a lucky number and in Medieval times, was thought to be a very holy and sacred number, representing the Trinity. In Kingdom Hearts, 3 comes up just as often as 13 or 7, if not more so. Lets take a look:Its quite apparent that Namura has an obsession with grouping things in sets of 3; Terra, Aqua, Ventus, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Axel, Xion, Hayner, Pence, Olette, and Sora, Donald, and Goofy. In the world of KH, it takes a body, soul and heart to make up a whole human. It took Namine a year to restore Sora's memories. A full year is 12 months, which can be divided by 3. And, of course, there are 3 numbered titles in the series. :)If I think of more, I'll update the post. Hope you all found this of interest, I know it was for me.
