Ashlynn grumbled in her mind. 'Well, this definately isn't good.' She ran towards the edge of the circle--she could probably leap over the flames. A few feet from jumping over them, Axel raised his arm, and the flames shot above her head. "Ahh!" She shrieked automatically, stopping only an inch from the wall of fire. She spun around, and ducked under Axel's attack. "Element bonding? No one ever used that before!" Ashlynn yelled. His chakrams flew at her, but she deflected them with her Keyblade. When they reached the fire shield around Axel, instead of swirling around it again, they cut through into his stomach. He groaned, and the fire weakened. 'So it's like the Ant Lion.' She determinded. 'If I throw back whatever he attacks me with, then it'll break through his shield!' Axel struggled to keep the flames up, but the disappeared into the ground, leaving black marks where they had blazed. He looked up, black starting to swirl around him. "Don't let Xemnas and Ahtxson get away with this, Ash." He pleaded before disappearing. "Axel--!" He was gone before she could say anything else. Ashlynn frowned, and then shook her head. Her armor changed back to her normal clothes, and she de-summonded her Keyblade. "I'm sorry," She whispered sadly. She looked up--the sky was like it always was. Twilight. She sighed, and looked around. "Deku, I have to tell Texsera and Dexer." The ground in front of her shimmered, and Deku appeared. "About killing Axel? I don't think they'll really mind--" "No, Deku," She stammered. "I-I mean about everything. What I was hiding from them." He shook his wolf head. "Not a good idea, Ashlynn." "B-But I need to tell them! They've got to know now. There's no choice." Deku chuckled once. "Yes there is. You're choosing to tell them. When you SHOULDN'T." She glared. "And keep LYING to them?" 'Explain what you're doing now, then.' She glanced over her shoulder at Axel and Austin running after her. "Oh, this?" She asked aloud. Ashlynn grabbed the shaft of Austin's Keyblade and twisted. She could've easily killed him, but shoved him the short fall instead. She winced when she heard his breath blow out as he hit the ground. She ducked, and elbowed Axel in the stomach. He staggered back a step, gasping, and she finished him with her Rain Fall. She glanced down at Austin, and frowned. His eyes slipped shut--he must've hit his head. Ashlynn flicked her fingers, and a dark corridor appeared. She looked at it for a second, and then back at Austin, frowning. "I'm sorry, Austin." She looked up to the twilight sky. "But I have to protect my other friends." She took a deep breath, and looked down at him again. "I didn't forget you, though. I'll never forget you, Austin. Whoever's controlling you--I'm going to get rid of them. I'll get you your body back, if it's the last thing I do." Ashlynn's Rain Fall shimmered and disappeared, and she closed her eyes for a moment. Before she stepped through her dark corridor, she caught a final glimpse of him. He was still wearing his friendship bracelet.

What...what happened?" She moaned, and rubbed her head. "I feel awful." 'Deku?' She thought. 'Deku, are you okay?' Sleepily he answered. 'No. I'm sleeping. Go away.' "Well, that's enough answer for me..." Ashlynn muttered under her breath. The image of Austin throwing down their friendship bracelet and stomping on it made her wince. Deku had said he was being controlled--was he trapped in his own mind, in his own blue bubble, doomed to fade into darkness, like she had been? She squinted at the spot she'd last seen him. She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in sadness. She'd wanted him to be okay so she could help. 'I'm going to save him, Deku.' She promised in her mind. 'I'm a little tired of that mission.' He yawned. 'Well I'm not.' She insisted. Ashlynn heard someone behind them. "Huh?" Texsera jumped to her feet. "The Warlords!" 'The who-y whats?' Don't fall.' Deku warned flatly. 'WHAT!?' She risked a glance over her shoulder. They were fighting in limited space, for one. And were badly outmatched. On top of all of that, of course they just HAD to be eighty feet off of the ground. Ashlynn swallowed, and muttered. "Just perfect."
