hatok 6,413 Posted January 20, 2015 Something I noticed about Eraqus' keyblade name in the Birth by Sleep Secret Episode. The translation before gave us "Master Keeper" which sounded a bit weird, but was about what I expected. The new translation gives us "Master's Defender" which is different in a significant way due to the possessive apostrophe. This isn't the Master Defender, this is specifically THE master's defender. As such, coould it be that the keyblade's name is simply Defender, like the ability, and Aqua or whoever is simply referring to it as Master's Defender to signify the previous owner? Sorarocks93 678 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) Well it did go to Aqua when she was in need, and she is a Master so maybe it literally defends masters. Who knows, maybe that's why Sora finds it at Destiny Islands in the KH3 teaser. Edit: Nvm I misread the entire freaking post.... Fenrissychros 167 Posted January 20, 2015 Bah. 2.5 Minstranslation strikes again. I will always call it ''Master Keeper'', and no english translation team will change that

I could have sworn someone told me last year, that Sora finding Eraqus's Keyblade on the beach had nothing to do with the story, and was merely for tease. Although, it would be much cooler if it actually is a crucial element....

And if that scene isn't canon then we're back at square one.

I know, right? I'm so sick of not having info....Theories are beginning to recycle, people are beginning to make things up, and quite frankly I'm losing my patience. Sorarocks93 678 Posted January 20, 2015 . I know, right? I'm so sick of not having info....Theories are beginning to recycle, people are beginning to make things up, and quite frankly I'm losing my patience. Yeah Well atleast we know how the game starts. With that scene where Young Xehanort and Young Eraqus talk to each other. That could lead to a number of theories. I mean imagine if we actually get a Dive to the Heart segment with Xehanort or Eraqus! How awesome would that be? Then again it could be something else entirely but still... 1 Forever reacted to this

Especially with all of the insane, yet ingenious theories surrounding him and the 6th Follower. Edited January 20, 2015 by Pandy Monium
hatok 6,413 Posted January 20, 2015 What if it's actually crucial to the story? well to my knowledge the name of a keyblade has never been spoke aloud, so I doubt it
BlankShell 638 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) I liked Master Keeper better because then it applied to the item itself; it is literally the master of all keepers, i.e. the only one that can unlock Castle Oblivion/Land of Departure. Master's Defender does sound more bamf, so I don't mind it, but less symbolic, yeah. Edited January 20, 2015 by BlankShell
Fenrissychros 167 Posted January 20, 2015 I hardly doubt Sora finds Eraqus' keyblade because 1-The keyblade is with Aqua 2-Sora is training in Traverse Town, he left the islands again before 3D 3-That was just the teaser so everyone were like ''What is this trailer? Is that...? Is this Kh3...?'' And keyblade names hardly influence the story. Master Xehanort keyblade is still called ''Master Xehanort Keyblade'', and the one of Youngnort is ''No name''. I don't think the name of a single keyblade as ever been acknowledge in the series, not even ''Kingdom Key''. Riku even calls his weapon Soul Eater in 3d once, like if it was in the original form
