Oblivion 22 162 Posted March 23, 2015 Koyomi slowly regained consciousness, a dark look rested upon his face as he searched for the one who stole the answers from him. "(That man... He must have been Anubis' father... I need to find him and get him to tell me what he knows. That demon said that I was not human... But as far as I know, I could very well be a half creed rather than the Nephilim. I don't have enough evidence yet...)" Koyomi sighed, his expression becoming more relaxed as he found an arm in front of him. "You really know how to put on a show Mr Valentine." Alex teased with a smile, helping Koyomi up to his feet. "Tell me, was there a man who left this room before I awoke? If so, did he give any suggestion as to where he was going to be?" "None at all I am afraid. He was quite mysterious. With little effort, he separated you from the necromancer and carried her away. From my perspective, the man appeared to be the girl's father." "Yes, he appeared in my head and I received the same impression." From the stands, Haru sat up and watched as Koyomi and Alex theorised on the experience they had just undergone. "One little interrogation and they're the best of friends, just great~..." Feeling better thanks to Rose's magic, Haru began to stand while making sure to hold on to the wall for support. "In some ways, those two are just too much alike..." Haru sighed as his gaze glanced up at a clock. "Oh... Looks like we'll be able to find out what Tiers we're in about half an hour. Hey! Sherlock one and two, the Hunter exam results will be released soon! We should get going!" Koyomi and Alex sighed in sync with each other, knowing already which tier they would be put in. "Fine, lets go." Alex nodded in agreement and began heading. Turning to the ladies, the dreamy blonde gave a sweet smile and a wave with his eyes closed. "See you all later! I had fun~!" Koyomi was about to leave when he looked back at Arsinoe. "(In order to make what I said earlier sound convincing, I should probably do something to show my gratitude... Human beings are so annoying, even if they are magical.)" Koyomi approached Arsinoe with a smile. "Miss Tamir, I am very grateful for you bringing me here today. I look forward to meeting up with you again someday soon." Koyomi then calmly took her hand and kissed it, giving a small bow afterwards before heading out. In the background, Haru watched bewildered at Koyomi's actions, not understanding the relationship he was beginning to form with Arsinoe. "(Did I miss something?!)" Haru shook his head in an attempt to forget about Koyomi's unimaginable antics. Finally determining that it was time to go, Haru turned back at Rose and Kori. "Hey, uhhh... Thanks for healing me up, I owe you one." Haru blushed a little, now realising that he was surrounded by three women that he considered to be quite beautiful, activating his shy side. "W-W-Well... It was n-nice meeting you all... Thank you again!" Haru bowed and quickly left the area, rejoining Alex and Koyomi who had been waiting for him. "Well, what took you so long?" Haru's face still being red from when he left the three girls behind, he could only bring himself to respond with an embarrassed and stuttering tone in his voice. "N-N-Nothing!" Smirking, Koyomi turned away and began walking towards main building to get his results. "Well in any case, let's get this over with. It's been a long day for all of us." "I concur with Koyomi. Even I cannot continue for much longer considering today's number of extreme situations. I hope that tomorrow may bring a slightly easier set of events." "Fine fine fine, lets go." And so, the three Hunters-to-be set out for the main building in order to find out what there rank was for their first year at Twilight Academy.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 23, 2015 Arsinoe hid a faint blush from Koyomi's actions. Kori rubbed the back of her head as Rose smiled and waved the group goodbye. "Well...that was...fun." Kori muttered. "That boy is so brash!...(I like it.)" Arsinoe said, waving the fan infront of her. "That Haru boy has such mood swings!" Rose commented. "You know, after today, I'm not going to attend anymore interrogations. I'm going to see the rankings" Kori said as she started to walk out. "I'm heading to my dorm." Arsinoe said as she started to follow Kori. Rose blinked a few times before whimpering, seeing as now she was all alone. "Well, I'll go see the rankings too!" Rose said as she hurried to follow Kori out. The two walked up to where the rankings would be posted. It was a big bulletin board with the names posted on lists per rank from highest to lowest. Those who did not make it wouldn't even be on the list. Stratos and Hanna watched as the staff cleaned up the mess. "Stratos that was dangerous, why didn't you do anything?!" Hanna asked as she looked over at the leader of the academy, who had yet to look away from the chair. "He wasn't meant to survive that possession." Startos muttered, to which Hanna gasped. No Hunter could ever survive possession on their own, only due to the fact that they were human. Koyomi would've most likely been possessed completely in a matter of seconds yet...he wasn't. The mysterious man rested Anubis on her bed in her perspective dorm and walked away silently, only to look down at the window to see the students surrounding the ranking lists for this year. Oblivion 22 162 Posted March 25, 2015 Casually arriving last among all of the students, the trio of Koyomi, Alex and Haru reached the bulletin which listed the names of students by their rank. "10 students for the first tier, 30 students for the second, 50 students for the third, 100 students for the fourth and anyone who isn't mentioned is automatically put in the fifth tier. A pretty simple system that clearly separates the winners from the losers." And as expected, the three found their names in descending order from the top with Koyomi's name being ranked first with Alex and then Haru following. "They always like the smart ones." "Do not feel so bad Haru. You did well considering your opponents were Mr Valentine and myself." Haru huffed and turned away, mumbling to himself. "You need to get off your high horse a little.." Koyomi's eyes were dull, looking up to find his name at the top... again. "(I thought things might be different here...)" Koyomi's gaze sank as his hands retreated into his pockets, walking away from the group without a word. "(This world of wonder that I'm only just beginning to understand... If I'm not given even half the challenge that I deserve, then what will be the point? If I was even half as smart as I am now, I could still wipe the floor with Alex who is the closest to matching my intellect... I need an outlet.)" Haru and Alex watched Koyomi leave before looking back to the board. "Well, I'm sure K is going back to the dorm, so I think I'll call it a night too. I'll see in class tomorrow." "Undoubtedly. I bid you a good night Mr Nisshoku." "See ya." Haru gave Alex a wave before walking after Koyomi in hope of catching up to him. Alex stared at the board for another few seconds before gazing around the room at the students. "(Well, they all seem to be quite lively. Regardless, there is a mystery to be solved.)" Alex turned back to the board one final time and stared directly at the rank 10 spot, the final person who would be in their class. "(Why has that spot been left blank?)" ~Meanwhile~ Finally back at the dorm room, Haru found Koyomi already led on his bed with a dread filled expression. "Hey, you going to tell me what's up?" "It's the same..." "Huh?" "Everything... It's the same as before..." Koyomi sat up, his hair falling over his eyes as he seemed to be quite depressed. "This game I'm playing... It's too easy. Nothing's changed Luna. It's a good setting, but the challengers? They're no match for me... I've been here one day and my intuition is already a hell of a lot stronger than the collective knowledge of every other Hunter attending this academy right now. It's depressing how boring this is..." "Koyomi, it's the first day. Just wait a while and you'll get your challenge, I promise." "... Sure... Not like I got anything else to do." Koyomi led on his side, facing away from Haru. Haru himself sighed at this and began to get dressed for bed. "So, what's with the 'infatuated' act that you pulled for Arsinoe?" "Is that her name? I was just using her. The power and influence she has in this world will become useful one day. She'll probably ask me to be her boyfriend or something ludicrous like that." "You really know how to take advantage of emotions, don't you?" "Can't play a chess game without any pieces." "Really? That's how you're seeing this? This is more than just a game you know? All of humanity is at stake here!" Koyomi sighed before whispering to himself "I'm not even human..." Haru stared, getting annoyed with Koyomi's responses. "Whatever, I'm going to get some sleep. See you in the morning." Turning off the lights, Haru got into bed and soon fell asleep. Koyomi, knowing that he found it extremely hard to sleep at night, decided to simply close his eyes and wait silently until morning came, most likely imagining a unique situation to keep his mind from going dull. Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) -Next Morning- Everything was peaceful in the morning. The sun was barely rising, rays of the sun warming up the academy grounds. Stratos stood in her balcony view of the academy, wearing her panda pajamas as she held a cup of coffee in her hands. “What a wonderful morning for the school year to start.” Stratos sighed as a bird appeared on the balcony. The bird then sung, its expected peaceful sung actually being a loud screech that echoed across the academy, alarming everyone to wake up, as they had 30 minutes to get ready for their first class. Rose groaned, sitting up in her bed as her hair was undone and standing up in a bedhead. “Could they not choose a more adequate alarm? Maybe some actual music?” Rose muttered under her breath. She knew the alarm from years of attending…still they could choose something else. Rose looked over to Anubis’ side of the room. It was tidied up with her stuff. A large treasure box sat on an end table by its own, made out of sterling metal. Anubis’ demon blood collection, sealed up tight and secure. As long as it stood on her side of the room Rose was good…then there was the fact that Anubis didn’t slept in a normal bed for reasons. She slept in a sleek black coffin encrusted with silver, the inside was red velvet and comfortable enough. She still wasn’t going to touch it. “Um…Anubis.” Rose said as she picked up her staff and stretched it from the end of her bed, tapping Anubis’ coffin with her staff. Within moments the coffin opened up, Anubis sitting up with a yawn as she stretched. “I slept like a log!” Anubis squealed with a smile. “We better get going. Classes are going to start.” Rose said. “Right~” Arsinoe was already up as she fixed herself up from her personal stuff and her favorite box. She looked perfect, as always. “(I’m sure to impress Koyomi!)” Arsinoe thought as she glared back at Kori, who still slept soundly. She hissed. “Hey! Wake up! Classes are going to start!” Arsinoe hissed. Kori stood up, groaning. Arsinoe gasped. “Your hair…how come it’s perfect?!” Arsinoe demanded to know. Kori smirked. “My dad’s genetics.” --- Bird's screech: https://youtu.be/1gL4XqkQOFU Schedule: 1st: Class 2nd: Class 3rd: Lunch 4th: Class 5th: Class Classes that the girls will be attending per period: 1st: Arsinoe - Studies of Creatures of the Magical World (Creatures that might try to eat you) 2nd: Rose - Botanical Studies of the Magical World (Plants that might try to eat you) 3rd: Lunch (Food) - Everyone (Hopefully not food that might try to eat you) 4th: Kori - Physical Education (No eating involved) 5th: Anubis - Demonology Studies (Demons that might try to eat you) Edited March 25, 2015 by Stardustblade358
Oblivion 22 162 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Waking up from the screech that was on par with whaling Banshee, Haru sat up in his bed and yawned. "Do we have to be woken up by that everyday?" Haru mumbled, rubbing his eyes and looking over at Koyomi's bed. However, the site that presented itself to Haru was quite odd. Instead of finding Koyomi in his bed, the only thing within sight was a five foot wall of books surrounding the bed like a fort. Within the fort, Koyomi stood up on top of his bed while reading a large book on specific demons. "... Did you stay up all night reading?" "I was bored." "How about sleeping?" "I have better things to do with my time. Besides, I rarely feel tired from typical human exhaustion." "Well you seemed pretty out of it when you were possessed yesterday." "That was an extremely strenuous situation, one that I doubt you would have walked away from without suffering some sort of consequence." Koyomi pondered to himself, realising that he'd boxed himself in with all the books he had been reading. "For someone so smart, you ended up doing something pretty stupid." "Quiet. The thought hadn't come across my mind at that point. These books provided me with a lot of information that I was missing previously." Closing the book he was currently reading, Koyomi placed it on top of one of the piles surrounding him. Reaching for the Masamune next to his bed, which was now stored in a black bag that could be carried over one shoulder, Koyomi wore the sword on his back and took a few steps back. Knowing that Koyomi's fitness was already a problem, Haru put a hand over his face in wait for the disaster that was sure to come. Koyomi took three consecutive steps forward and jumped forward, placing his hands on the books in front of him as he front rolled over them. Unfortunately, Koyomi's landing was nowhere near as graceful as he fell straight onto his back on the other side of the pile of books. "... Owww..." Haru stifled a laugh but immediately shut himself up as soon as Koyomi sent a glare in his direction. "That was a good try you know. You almost got it." "... Just keep quiet. I don't need your sympathy." Koyomi said with a sigh as he stood up and brushed himself off. "Anyway, I'm going to shower before anything else happens." Koyomi walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind him. Haru took out his timetable and stared at it. "Okay, we have a little bit of time between now and when our lessons start. I'm going to assume that the students are given a chance to have breakfast here." Haru's thoughts were suddenly interrupted after hearing a knock at his door. Opening it, Haru was welcomed by Alex's heartwarming smile. "Hello Mr Nisshoku. How was your first night at the academy?" Haru groaned a little, feeling that it was too early in the morning to deal with Alex's overwhelming arrogance. "It was fine. Anyway, what's up?" "I bring a warning for Koyomi. Where is he?" "Shower." "Right... Well then, inform him that there is a group ravenous females outside awaiting the appearance of the youngest Valentine. Perhaps a disguise is required." Opening the door slightly, Koyomi popped his head out from the bathroom with a calm expression. "Don't worry. I have a plan." Koyomi then disappeared into the bathroom once again. Haru stopped and looked over at Alex once again. "Well, looks like he's got it covered." "Yes, it would seem so. In the mean time, we should acquire some sustenance to begin our surely long day." Haru sighed, just barely coping with Alex and highly exaggerated speech patterns. "Alright, let me just get changed, I'll be out in a minute." "Very well." Haru closed the door and changed out of what he wore to bed and into his uniform, heading out of the building with Alex. As the two left the male dorm, they noticed the swarm of freshmen witches that were lining up to see Koyomi. "Poor guy..." "Indeed. I must say however that I am a little jealous. This is the first time I have seen any number of females ignore me while waiting for someone else as I walk past." Haru smiled and patted Alex's back. "Ahhh, don't worry about it. It's quality over quantity, don't you think? Especially considering that the girls we were hanging out with yesterday were second year witches. You gotta love maturity~" "... This is quite hypocritical of you considering you were the one who could barely hold a conversation with any of them on your own." Haru looked away from Alex's smirk, feeling embarrassed about not being able to impress any of the girls the day before. "L-Let's just go and get some food already." "Of course~ Whatever you say~" The two then walked together to the cafeteria, acquired their meals after waiting for a few minutes and then sat opposite each other, eating their first meals of the day peacefully. "What exactly are the odds of the girls from yesterday coming to sit with us?" "After the way you behaved yesterday? I would say the chances are equal. They will either come to some conclusion that we've all become connected through yesterday's interactions and will want to spend every day with us... Or, they will think that you were a complete imbecile and will not want to talk to you ever again." Haru sighed despairingly, believing that he had ruined his chances at making some new friends. "Well... At least I wouldn't have the blue haired girl bothering me anymore..." "It looks like you are already beginning to see the bright side of this. Your optimism is astounding." "Thanks... I think. I wonder how Koyomi is doing." ~Meanwhile~ Back at the male's dorm, Koyomi peered out of his window, noticing the fangirls that awaited his arrival. "This a tricky situation, but my mastery of stealth and infiltration games should help me here." Dressing in his uniform scruffily, Koyomi grabbed a pair of glasses and a hair band to tie his hair back as he left the building. Holding a book next to his chest, Koyomi took the appearance of the most clumsy and nerdy looking teenager imaginable, not even causing the girls to bat an eye as he walked past them. Purposefully falling over and being laughed at, Koyomi ran away while pretending to be embarrassed. After escaping the vicinity of the male dorm and straightening his uniform out correctly, Koyomi headed to the library to drop off the book he had used as a distraction. Thinking for a while, Koyomi decided to leave his hair tied back and kept the glasses on, thinking that it would be a nice change in comparison to how his usually curly would flow out messily. Returning the book, Koyomi stepped back from the shelf and looked across the aisle in search of anything interesting. Groaning to himself, Koyomi came to an unpleasant conclusion as he crossed his arms. "I need an expert to point me in the right direction. Simply reading all of the books in the library will take too much time." Edited April 3, 2015 by Oblivion
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 4, 2015 Arsinoe stepped out of her room while glaring at the running freshmen. “Huh. Freshmen.” Arsinoe scoffed. “I think that Koyomi guy made quite an impression don’t you think?” Kori asked. Arsinoe mumbled something under her breath before shrugging her shoulders. The two of them quickly encountered Rose and Anubis, who walked down the hall to greet them. “Ready for breakfast?” Rose asked with a smile. “Yeah, I’m starving!” Kori cheered. Arsinoe groaned. “I’m not very hungry, but I’ll come with you. My class is on the way to the dining hall anyways.” Arsinoe muttered as the four walked along to the dining hall for a quick breakfast. They eventually got what they wanted, Kori picking out rather large amounts of food to satisfy her appetite. Arsinoe glanced around and pointed with her fan at a specific table. “Hey, aren’t those the boys from yesterday?” Rose turned and she squeaked to herself. “I-It’s Cross! What do I do?!” Rose mumbled. “Just be normal for once.” Kori mumbled between a mouthful. “Right~” Rose said as she breathed. She had grown most of her life in the mortal world, she was still getting used to consider witches and hunters as impressive as this as normal. Rose walked over to the table, smiling brightly and speaking with a soft tone. “Good morning~” She sung. “May I be allowed to sit with you guys?” Rose asked innocently enough. Kori however would have none of it. She slapped Haru on his back playfully, but strongly. “You have guts for a first year Hunter, interrupting an interrogation, threatening a demon, almost killing a professor’s daughter, you’ve earned 2% of my respect!” Kori laughed as she sat across him on the table. “And you Cross…heh, well if you manage to catch up with the Valentine, give me a call, would ya?” Rose growled at Kori’s attitude as she sat next to Haru. “Kori you are so rude!” Rose commented. Anubis sat down normally and ate her food. “Don’t worry. I forgive you, Haru.” Arsinoe shrugged and walked away from the group. Her first class would take place in the arena, she wanted to get there early. ... "I'm sorry about yesterday, and I am glad that you have decided to still help us out even after it." Hanna said as she walked along with the same white haired man from yesterday's encounter. "It is fine," He spoke. "I didn't mind. I just did what I had to do. Were she to get hurt under my watch my wife would kill me." He said, his voice still monotone. "Understood. How is she doing, by the way?" "She is doing good. Researching and all." "Good...I hope her research goes well. Our numbers are dwindling. Even if we are only 1% there is only so much we can do. We already have students being sent across the world to deal with these problems." The two of them stopped, now in the midway of the library. “I hope you realize that if she accepts working here that you two will have to live without killing each other.” “If she attacks it’s considered self-defense.” Hanna paused. "Will you really be teaching them from your collection?" "I don't see why not. Times have changed...we must prepare them." With that Hanna walked out of the library. The man sighed, holding the books in his arms. --- His books:
Oblivion 22 162 Posted April 10, 2015 Haru almost coughed up his food from the force of Kori's "tap" on his back. Feeling a little embarrassed, the young man turned away from the girls who were now surrounding him and looked down at his hand. "But... That wasn't even me..." Haru's hand still stung, the crescent moon shaped burn having been engraved into his skin from the Masamune. "A cursed blade that can cut anything, even the user's soul... How can Koyomi wield something like that?" Haru's face was hidden in his hands, feeling slightly depressed at his inferiority complex to Koyomi. Alex stared at the black haired hunter and smiled sneakily. "Well, you know ladies, Mr Nisshoku over here was talking about the maturity of the Witches at this aca-" Alex immediately found a hand over his mouth, an incredibly flustered Haru trying not let the girls find about his true intentions. "Alex, no offence, but you need to shut the hell up!" Alex blinked his eyes and began to mumble through Haru's hand. "But didn't you say that Kori's attire was very-" "I never said anything about Kori's attire! I'm leaving!" Eating the last of his food, Haru collected his things and headed out of the cafeteria. Alex looked around to find himself surrounded by three beautiful maidens and decide to smirk to himself. "Well, this looks nice~... Anyway, how are you all doing today?" ~Meanwhile~ Looking around the corner of one of the shelves, Koyomi recognised the mysterious man who had appeared in his mind the day before. Scanning him carefully and noticing how he conversed with Hana, the snow haired boy came to the conclusion that he was a well respected hunter. Deciding to approach the man with a book to his chest, Koyomi thought of using his disguise to talk to him indirectly. "Uhhh... Excuse me, sir? I was hoping you could point me towards the books that concern the relationships between Angels and Demons. I'm also searching for information about the ancient war, if it's not too much trouble?" Koyomi bowed his head profusely, his deception skills being second to only witches with transformation skills. However, despite his secretly insincere gestures, Koyomi was sure that a man of his rank would see right through his disguise. "(Well, that doesn't matter. He wanted me to come to him, so here I am. So old man, what do you have to tell me?)"
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 11, 2015 Kori blinked a few times. “What about my attire?!” Kori asked, feeling that something was being talked about behind her back. No one sassed about her outfits except herself! “Huh? He’s still hurt? Wait, Haru!” Rose said as she stood up from her seat and ran off after Haru, ignoring Alex as she hurried out to where Haru went. “YAY more for me!” Kori said smiling as she pulled Rose’s tray to her and started to eat it. "I'm doing good. I feel much better after a nice sleep. Interrogations do take a lot of effort. My dad even tucked me into bed! Though I should question Koyomi why on earth did he interrupted the interrogation, it was foolish and very dangerous." Anubis said. “I’m doing great so far. I love the food here, thanks for asking!” Kori said with a chuckle. Her expression suddenly hardened, a dead serious expression appearing on her face. “…so, what about my outfit?” She growled. “Haru!” Rose yelled as she finally caught up to him, panting. Physical activities was not her forte. “Holy crap you’re fast and you’re not even running, hey wait up, Haru right?” Rose asked as she walked over to Haru and quickly grabbed his hand. “Hold on, I want to check up in that burnt.” Rose said as she took his hand and hovered her other hand over the burns. “Sh*t. I should’ve worked on this burnt mark a bit more yesterday.” Rose muttered as she moved her hand around, the tips of her fingers glowing green. “Hm…hm…” She hummed, eventually letting go. “There, it should hurt less now. You know if I give it treatment at least once a day, I think I might be able to slowly get rid of the scar.” Rose said smiling. The white haired man gently tilted his head to the side. “You should know better than act like this for me, Koyomi Valentine.” He said softly as he walked past Koyomi to a certain bookshelf. “You can find any books you need about the current subject around here. However they’re brief. Only my special collection has the detailed books that hold the true facts.” The man said, suddenly a louder voice spoke. “YEAH, SO BACK OFF. YOU DON’T EVEN SMELL GOOD.” It was…the book. The black one. “Mora my dear. Please no screaming in the library.” The man said as he stroke the book. He turned to Koyomi. “My name is Samael Thanatos. Exorcist level Hunter. I will be your teacher in Demonology Studies. I am pleased to see you to have come and find me, Koyomi. I wished to discuss the fact of your humanity…or at least, what it is a mirror of it, considering you aren’t one.” Samael said. "I'll say!" The book hissed. Oblivion 22 162 Posted April 11, 2015 Alex watched Rose take off after Haru, not expecting such a thing to happen. Regardless of that matter, Alex was now faced with a blue haired Mage who was beginning to lose her temper. "Well, I see it can not be helped. You see Miss Kori, Haru thought your attire was quite provocative. You may have wondered why he may have appeared so embarrassed while only in your vicinity, but I hold the answers to these questions. It is simple." Alex smiled innocently and waved his hands to his side with grace. "The young man must be attracted to you. With your surprisingly seductive personality and your tremendously fortuitous looks, I am sure that you have bewitched the heart of that young Hunter. However, please know that even a man's emotions can be crushed with ease, so please do not play with him. Mr Nisshoku is a very insecure Hunter, I am sure. He does tend to keep his guard up no matter who he is around." Alex looked away and placed a hand to his chin. "(I wonder how she would react to this? I may have just began a relationship... Since when have I been helping other people with their relationships? ... No matter, this should turn out to be quite interesting, especially if she begins getting violent.)" Alex smiled at Kori, coming up with another brilliant lie to continue the game he was playing. "I am sure that Mr Nisshoku took off after feeling embarrassed in your presence. If you are able, perhaps you should meet up with him during lunch and spend some time together before you miss your opportunity. After all~... Even someone like Rose could move in at this point should his heart be swayed." Alex chuckled a little, acting carefree as he finished his breakfast and awaited the reaction that would begin his great day. ~Meanwhile~ Haru looked down at Rose as she had attempted to heal his hand, only showing brief signs of improvement. Rubbing his palms together, Haru blushed as he found himself alone with Rose. "(Why do I always get stuck with the cute ones?)" Haru scratched his head a little and looked around. "Thanks... I mean, you didn't really have to heal me, I'm sure I would've been fine on my own... I don't know how to repay you." Haru's eyes began to spin, trying to think of some kind of topic to talk about. "W-W-Well you seem awfully friendly with Kori. How did you two meet? I'm sure there might have been a few dozen misunderstandings before you became friends." Haru asked, feeling that talking about one of the others might draw some of the attention away from how awkward the situation was. However, this act came across as Haru being interested in Kori with the blush on his face becoming obviously apparent. ~Meanwhile~ Koyomi sighed, slouching a little and stopping his 'nerd act'. "I was hoping you'd notice. Pulling off that ridiculous act is nothing more than a tool to fool moronic students. Anyway..." Koyomi's expression tightened, his eyes becoming narrower as he began taking the situation more seriously. "... as you know, I'm not looking for anything this library has to offer. I need to know the specifics of what happened during the war and about the Last Nephilim. You may be right about me not being human, but I'm sure not a demon either. If you have answers, then talk." Koyomi tightened his hand into a fist, seemingly displaying some kind of explicit emotion for the first time. "That demon possession proved that I'm not human. I read it in one of the books last night. If a demon possesses a human, that human may as well be dead... But it possessed me and I'm still here. So that means, I'm something else." Koyomi then extended his hand and pointed at Samael. "But! You walked into my head without breaking a sweat, despite all of my mental barriers I had put in place for the demon. That can only mean that you're not human either. So tell me, who and what are we?"
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 11, 2015 Kori blinked for a few times. Anubis stood there in shock as her glance darted back and forth from Kori and Alex. Kori stood silent for about a minute before suddenly bursting out in laughter. True laughter. As in, tears were starting to form laughter. After relieving herself from such emotion, without warning she picked up the table where they sat on and slammed it across the hallway, having it crash into a wall and shatter into pieces due to the tremendous force. “Alex, that was the most hilarious joke I’ve heard all day!” Kori said smiling. Just as suddenly as she did with the table, she pulled Alex close and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. “Sadly I already decided if I’m dating someone, it’s gonna be you. After all, you're the strongest Hunter here, and I need someone equally as strong to keep up with me.” Kori said as he grip tightened. “And I’m not letting you go.” Anubis couldn’t help but to smile as she stood up and started to walk away, mouthing the words ‘good luck’ to Alex as she skipped away and out of the dining hall. Rose blinked a few times and thought about it. “How did we meet huh?” She felt a drop of sweat roll down her forehead. “Well, we first met our freshman year. We were assigned to each other as roommates.” Rose explained, her smile still there as she remembered Kori’s ruthless attitude. “She said I was too soft and was determined to make me stronger. She would wake me up every morning with firecrackers and drag me out to practice fighting with her. After I survived that year she and I became friends. I think I still have some scars from the time she threw me into the carnivorous plant pit.” Rose said with a light laugh. “Being my first year as a witch I went along with it, barely managing it. In the end she and I got used to each other’s antics and became friends. She can be a bit…rough. But after knowing her you can actually see she does care inside after a while!” Rose said as she looked over at Haru. “Are you thinking of asking her out for a date, Haru?” She teased. Samael blinked a few times as he stared down at the child. “We are two different beings. Though similar. We are different. If you want answers, I am willing to answer them and explain to you everything that needs to be explained, however.” Samael said as he walked closer to Koyomi. “You have a class that will be starting in a matter of five minutes. I suggest that you get to it considering I also have a class to teach. We will talk after the class schedule, after all, you have me as a teacher for your last class period, Mr.Valentine.” Samael said as he seemed to almost walk into Koyomi, but instead walked right through him and past him, almost like a ghost. “I’ll see you after class, Koyomi.” With that, Samael walked away to his lecture. Oblivion 22 162 Posted April 19, 2015 Alex smiled at Kori as she tightened her grip around his arm. "(If she squeezes my arm any more, I will lose circulation to my body.)" Alex's expression then fell from a smile to a more serious glare. "You might think of him as weak, but Haru is far from it. I am not entirely sure that I could defeat him if he went all out. For a Hunter, he is unbelievably strong. He may appear inferior to Koyomi and I at first glance, but I can assure you that he could go toe-to-toe with your average witch." For some reason, Alex's eyes softened for just a second before returning to their usual glow. "Well, I am sure you'll find out how strong Haru really is when you see him fighting in the arena today. As for me, I must get to my first lesson. I presume that I will meet up with you again during lunch? In that case, I will see you later." Alex got to his feet and began walking away, giving a brief wave to Kori on her way out. "(That mark that was on Haru's hand earlier was a burn he received from the Masamune... But for it to take such a specific shape... I'll have to research this later.)" Haru blushed heavily before turning away. "Me? Go on a date with her? You can't be serious!" Haru scratched his cheek and took a deep breath. "I mean, I don't think she's a bad person and I guess someone like Alex could deal with her outbursts, but I don't think I'm cut out for the job." Haru then noticed Alex walking down the corridor. "Uhhh... I gotta go. Thanks again for healing my arm. I'll see during lunch maybe." Haru waved Rose goodbye before taking off after Alex. "Hey! Wait up!" "Ahhh, Mr Nisshoku. How was your little talk with Rose?" Haru frowned, not liking the tone in his voice as he mentioned the pink haired girl. "She's fine. She healed my hand, sort of... I still have this crescent moon burned into my hand though." "Uh-huh, I see. Well, I was just wondering about something actually. Would you happen to know anything about the 'Solar Curse', would you?" Haru stopped in his tracks, holding a hand over his right shoulder. "How do you know about that?" "Let us just say that I read it some time ago when it was mentioned in a text about the the death of a certain Hunter clan, the Eclipse Family." Haru sighed, putting his hands in his pockets and kept walking. "You read a lot, don't you? I'm sure it's just some flimsy curse that does nothing harmful." Keeping up with Haru, Alex smirked. "On the contrary, I hear that it's quite a powerful curse that can only be bestowed upon someone during a Solar Eclipse. Quite ironic for someone from the Eclipse family to have the Solar Curse put on them, isn't it?" "The Eclipse Incident from twelve years ago. A great majority of Witch and Hunter families are aware of what happened back then. It was a great loss for our forces." "Yes it was. They say that a young boy survived the encounter and had the curse placed on him. I wonder what happened to that child." "Yeah... Who knows~..."
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 19, 2015 Rose waved smiling. "What a nice boy." Rose said. Soon enough there was Kori right behind her, grabbing her by the shoulders. "You're a fan of that Cross kid right? I want you to tell me everything you know about him, and I mean everything." Kori hissed. Rose slowly turned to face her, her face full of concern. "Um...sure?" She felt she would end up regretting accepting such offer. Anubis watched from behind with an evil smile, before laughing. "You two better for that after classes, the first class is about to start!" Arsinoe walked over to the arena. She did not know why on earth would they have classes in the arena if it was a technical class. Regardless. Students were already around, standing or sitting on the floor. "(Hmp! No way I'm sitting on the floor. I'll get grass stains on my outfit.)" Arsinoe thought. Like hell she'd get dirty without the first class even starting. The class was Studies of Creatures of the Magical World. That would explain why they were on the field...they would be looking at actual creatures. Just then a few students started to awe and smack at each other as they looked at a certain direction. "Ahhhhh good morning." A voice spoke. Into the arena came a man with a red color scheme. Hair, eyes, everything. He had what looked to be a tattoo around his neck. He was also smoking something. He looked cool, kind of scary, yet...a bit too calm for a professor? "My name is Nick Camilla. No, I am not directly related to the Camilla family. I married into it. You may call me Professor Nick, Professor Camilla, Professor, whatever you want as long as it's not an insult ok?" The man said rather calmly as he explained a bit more. "I am an Arsonist Level Hunter. Basically whatever I get my hands on will most likely go up in flames one way or another. Oh yeah and if any of you happen to be dating my daughter, HAHA SUCKS TO BE YOU, she took her destructive nature from me." Nick said laughing a bit. He smirked at his beloved students. "Now then, today you are going to end up learning about mythical creatures. I must warn you I'm quite fast, so you better get ready to take notes at the speed of light. There's far too much to cover in such little time." With that Nick unveiled the cage that that stood in the middle of the arena, showing a large, fierce looking creature. "This, is a Basilisk." Oblivion 22 162 Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) Arriving at their first class, Haru and Alex looked around and found themselves met with seven other students including Koyomi who was staring out a window. "With us here, that makes nine students... Wait, isn't there supposed to be ten students in this class?" "Yes... Let it go for now. I want to know what's wrong with Koyomi. He seems to have something on his mind." "How can you tell?" Alex's expression was quite serious as he began walking through the class room. "It's because that's the same way I look out the window." Approaching Koyomi, Alex regained his sense of calmness, even managing a smile. "So, who did you run in to? I can tell that you're deep in thought you know." "Oh? Really~..." Koyomi looked over at Alex with a smile, standing up in front of him. "You know, I've been curious about something Alex. How do you do it?" Alex raised an eye brow. "I am afraid I do not understand what you are talking abo-!" Alex then watched as Koyomi was throwing a punch at him, his facial expression not changing. Within an instant, Alex had grabbed Koyomi's arm. But, this was something that Haru, who watching the whole event, could not understand. The hand which Alex had stopped was Koyomi's left hand, while Koyomi had attempted to punch Alex with his right. "That right there. That's what I want to know." "What are you two doing?" The two boys backed away from each other, tidying themselves up. "Allow me to explain, Mr Valentine wanted to know why I was able to read his movements when so far no one else could. It may have looked like Koyomi's intent was to punch me with his right hand, but it was actually a bluff and he was aiming to hit me with his left." Haru stared, wondering how on Earth Alex could have known such a thing. "You've got a good eye." "Actually, I was not even looking." "Hehehe, now you're beginning to sound like me." "What's all the racket?" The three turned to the door to see Mr Akuma walk in to the room, an unpleasant look on his face. "(I should have known... It's only the first day and already those two are fighting.)" Mr Akuma sighed loudly, making his way to his desk before picking up the register. "Alright, looks like you're all here, so let's begin with the lesson." "Wait, isn't there someone missing?" Mr Akuma looked up at the class and looked around, making sure that he counted right. "Nope, you're all here. All nine of you." "I thought there were supposed to be ten." "I'm afraid that our missing member, Mr Hayashi, is currently... busy." Koyomi cocked his head. "(What kind of response was that? The kid must be some kind of special case...)" "Anyway, he won't be joining us until next week, so forget about him for now. As for our class, our first lesson is about Ability Origin. I'm sure you'd like to think this is about awakening some kind of power that will put you on par with a high level demon, but I'm here to tell you that it won't. You can spend ten or even twenty years training to enhance your powers, but you will never grow stronger than a Demon General through ordinary means." Mr Akuma, put a hand over his left arm, covering up some kind of mark that was tattooed onto his body. "There are cases where Hunters have grown stronger, and this may apply to some of you. The cases for Hunters to surpass Demon Generals and even Elite Tier Witches is for them to be the offspring of an Angel or a Demon. Although, it's extremely rare for an Angel to bare a child with a human during this Era. A half-human, half-angel child is referred to as a Demi. Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the spectrum, we have a being known as a Cambion. A Cambion is the offspring of a Demon and a Human." Koyomi sat back and watched as most of the other members of the class were taking notes, Haru included. Alex however was sat in a relaxing position, not worried about the outcome of this class as it was all knowledge he already possessed. "I will let you know now. If a Cambion were to engage in combat with a Demi, then the surrounding country will surely be destroyed. A clash between beings on that scale could level Cities with ease." "Then what about a Nephilim?" Everyone paused what they were doing and looked back at Koyomi who was sitting back, clicking his fingers with one hand. "Is it possible for a Nephilim to surpass a Demon King?" "A Nephilim. The offspring of an Angel and a Demon. Such a thing has not been apart of this world for well over three millennium." "According to the Demon's, there's still one left. The last Nephilim that is currently in the way of the war. If such a being were real and is currently capable of threatening both sides, doesn't that mean that he's strong enough to maybe defeat Lucifer himself?" "The last Nephilim. I'm afraid that's something I can discuss so easily in class Mr Valentine. But to answer your question, then yes, I do believe he could defeat a Demon King. If he could defeat Lucifer, that I cannot answer." Koyomi sighed and turned away. "It was worth a shot... Where do you think this Nephilim could be?" "Well, if he didn't know how to control his power, wouldn't he come to some place like this to learn?" "I see." "Good. Now then, let's get back to the key point of this lesson." Mr Akuma opened up a draw on his desk and took out a large piece of paper before nailing it to the wall. "This is going to be our "Duel Sheet". As you are the top tiered students, most of your time will be spent on how to enhance your strength physically. With this, we'll have two of you fight in the arena with us teachers marking your performance and where you still have room to improve. So, do we have any volunteers?" Almost immediately, a hand was raised straight into the air. But, of all the people to raise their hand, it unexpectedly ended up being Alex. "Y-Yes... Mr Cross. You would like to Duel someone?" "Yes. This afternoon if it's possible." "That should be fine, who do you want to Duel?" Haru began to chuckle. "(Finally! I get to watch those two go at it and beat the snot out of each other!)" Alex smirked, pointing in a certain direction. "I would like to Duel Haru Nisshoku." "Yeah, hehe, Haru Nisshoku... Wait, what?! That's my name!! This isn't funny Alex!" "I am not joking. We will be fighting in the Arena later. Make sure you do better than you did against Mr Valentine, I do not pull my punches like he does." Haru could only stare as Mr Akuma wrote their names down on the Duel Sheet. Haru's expression then became blank as he suddenly planted his face into his desk. "(My name is Haru Nisshoku... And I'm about to get myself killed~...)" ----------------------- I don't believe I mentioned an appearance for Ryu Akuma, so I'm going with the Anbu Kakashi look. Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) The students watched the Basilisk's every movement. The Basilisk moved its head as it glanced at the students. Back. Forth. Side. Nick took a smoke out of his cigarette. "First noted by the Europeans in their mythology, they have been dubbed the king of reptiles and serpents. However these creatures vary depending on their environment, therefore there are many types of Basilisks. Desert, Swamp, Land and Water. This one right here is a Desert Basilisk. The most common Basilisk would be the Swamp Basilisk, which is in the shape of a snake. The one thing that all Basilisks share is that they are bigger than their usual animal counterparts, and have multiple eyes." Nick explained as he petted the Basilisk. "Each type of Basilisk has a different kind of weakness. The Desert Basilisk's weakness is underneath it and behind its head, both which are very difficult to reach due its temper. They cannot swim, and have enough strength to outmatch an 18 wheeler. Your job is to capture this Basilisk, and seal it back into its cage." Nick explained. Arsinoe stared strangely. "But it's already locked in there..." She muttered. Nick then gently opened the cage. The Basilisk stood still for a few seconds before busting right out with a thunderous roar, tackling the students out of the way. "Make sure it doesn't get out of the arena!" Nick said as he sat on the bleachers and watched, drinking some soda. Arsinoe used the wind to land safely as she saw the Basilisk get ready to attack again. Arsinoe and the rest of the students got ready with a growl. "Oh now you're going to get it you little ****." The Basilisk took it as a challenge, charging at the students again. Anubis wrote down the notes from the class, glancing over at Rose to let her copy from her from time to time. The teacher wrote down on the backboard as from the arena in the distance you could see clouds of dirt forming and the distant screaming and curses of students. "What the hell?" Anubis muttered. "Don't mind them. That's the Mythological Creatures of the Magical world class." --- Desert Basilisk: Edited April 27, 2015 by Stardustblade358
Oblivion 22 162 Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Koyomi found himself growing bored with the class. Having spent the entirety of the night consuming knowledge beyond what could be called "humanly possible", he began to feel his mind grow dull. "(What's going on? Is it from staying up all night? No... This should be nothing. I've gone days, even weeks, without sleeping for an instant and I've felt fine. My body... something's... pulling me into this state...)" With his head landing on his arms, Koyomi silently fell asleep at the back of the class. Arriving within the same white, empty space from before, Koyomi had begun to question his surroundings. "I'm sleeping again... Or day dreaming..." "One is in fact very similar to the other." Koyomi turned to find the same ball of light that had appeared before him when he was in danger on his first day. "You again." "I see that you completed your first task in acquiring the Masamune. Well done." "Tch, it was easy. I'm assuming your appearing to me as some kind of guide. So tell me... what should I do next?" "Continue on your path and learn the secrets that Samael Thanatos holds. Once you have accomplished that task, you will begin your destiny in fighting back against the Demon horde." Koyomi almost laughed at how this small ball of light was giving him orders. "I see, I see~... So, what do you get out of all of this? Are you some celestial being giving me divine instruction? Or are you some part of my subconscious that is reminding me of what I should really do?" "Either answer is fine. Just remember, interrogate Samael." "Fine..." "... I'll do it." Koyomi then found Alex looking over at him as he awoke, barely having been sleeping for ten minutes. "What happened to you?" Alex whispered, but Koyomi turned away and looked out the window. "Nothing at all." It was then that Koyomi saw the large Desert Basilisk rampaging in the Arena with only Arsinoe there to stand up to it. "Hmmmm? That looks much more interesting than this..." Stardustblade358 806 Posted May 4, 2015 The Desert Basilisk wasn't giving the students any chances. It rampaged and attacked at anything and anyone that moved, slamming into the concrete walls and floors. Any direct spells that were thrown at the beast were reflected by its rough skin, barely doing damage if any at all. Thunder, Fire, every element possible seemed futile against it. The professor watched in amusement. "The Desert Basilisk has adapted itself to survive under the worst of conditions. Simple magic won't work on him, just so you know!" He said. "What are we going to do?! It's going to end up throwing us into the sky by the end of the class!" One of the students complained. Arsinoe waved her fans as she used wind to try to push the Basilisk back, but the beast easily rushed right through, almost tackling Arsinoe had she not dodge in time. "(The weakness is in the back of the head. How are we meant to reach it if we can't even see it!)" Arsinoe thought as she spun and sent lightning at the creature, which once again did nothing against it. As the rest of the witches went ahead and tried to do their best against the Basilisk, Arsinoe had a small thought as she analyzed the creature's body structure. There seemed to be only one way to reach the back of its head, however the consequences were this to not work could be disastrous. As one of the students shot another spell at the creature, it caught its attention, the Basilisk slowly getting ready to charge. "Here's my chance!" Arsinoe ran up to the Basilisk as it charged at the student, running past the student and straight at the creature. Before the creature could tackle at her, Arsinoe used her wind in order to push herself upwards, jumping high into the air, past the beast's reach, and landed right on its back. "I...I did it!" Arsinoe cheered, right before she could hear it growl. "...uh oh." With that the Basilisk started to run around much like a wild bull, trying to throw Arsinoe off it. She screamed as she hanged onto the beast for dear life, the other students trying to chase it. Nick watched in amusement. Arsinoe cursed under her breath as she gripped onto her fans and sent fire at the back of the Basilisk's head. Suddenly, the Basilisk took a sharp turn to the opposite direction of where he had gotten hit, almost throwing Arsinoe off it. "What the-?! He's responding to the hits?!" Arsinoe hissed. She fixed herself up before waving her fans again. She kept sending fire and thunder at the back of the Basilisk's head, having it turn and run. "So it's like a machine, sort off..." Arsinoe muttered as she smirked, figuring it out. She kept using her magic, shooting at the back of its head as she led the Basilisk right at the cage. "In you go you monster!" Arsinoe said as she sent a massive shock of thunder at the Basilisk, having it dash forward. Arsinoe jumped off its back just in time as the Basilisk dashed into the cage, slamming against it as the force had the cage shut tight. Arsinoe stood up, fixing her hair from the small rodeo as she could hear the students cheering. She smiled. "Thank you, thank you." She muttered. Nick clapped. "Alright! You guys did great! That's exactly how you do it!" Nick said cheerfully. "Desert Basilisk have only one weakness and that is the back of their heads, where they have sensors. Because they cannot see what is behind all the time, if they feel any danger or hurt on one side, they will go off the opposite direction. Hunters and Witches alike that domesticate Desert Basilisks use this in order to navigate them around." Nick explained. Then, the bell rung, chiming across the academy, noting that the first period was over. "That is all for today, everyone. Tomorrow is another lesson and another creature, so be ready for it! You're all dismissed!" Nick said. The students walked out of the arena, some of the groaning, many of them having their clothes dirty due to the rampaging beast. Arsinoe stepped out, waving her fan slightly as she encountered Rose heading to her next class. She glared at her. "Don't. Ask."
Oblivion 22 162 Posted May 10, 2015 Hearing the bell go off, Koyomi's attention was drawn away from Arsinoe's capabilities and onto his fellow class mates that were picking up their bags and notes. "Koyomi, let's go. The next lesson we have is with the girls I hear." "Sure." Getting to his feet, the white haired teen walked off in the direction of Alex and Haru before getting a strange sensation pulsate through his body. He stopped all movement and looked around at his surrounding, but found nothing that gave any clear indication for such a feeling of unease. "Something wrong?" "No, forget about it." Walking out of the class room, Koyomi maintained a presence of confidence as Alex observed him. "Hey, young Mr Cross. I'm sure you're aware of it, but don't you think there's more to Mr Valentine than meets the eye?" Alex turned back towards Mr Akuma while narrowing his eyes. "Yes, he is. I am positive that the key to humanity's survival rests within him." "That's some optimistic way of thinking Mr Cross. It's quite unexpected of you considering you told me that you wanted to defeat him yesterday." Alex's mouth formed into a smirk. "Well, I do, but I think I have found something else to keep me occupied for the time being. After all, I have a duel to prepare for this afternoon." And with that, Alex left the room in order to catch up to Koyomi and Haru. "Alexander Riley Cross. If wasn't for Koyomi's sudden appearance, then everyone would have recognised him as the saviour we've all been looking for. Well... That's what the real believers think. I think we need to strengthen our numbers and find away to completely destroy a demon. But... Where do we find strength like that?" The three then headed to their next class. "So, what's our next lesson?" "Botanical studies of the magical world. Your pink haired girlfriend is in that class." "W-W-W-WHAT?!! S-She's not my..." "Just admit it Haru. You are extremely interested in the female." "S-Shut up!!" The odd trio continued on there path to the large green house that was located in the school's gardens.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted May 10, 2015 Rose walked in front of the greenhouse, getting ready for her next class. This class was important for both Hunters and Witches. Potions and plants were useful in all situations, from healing wounds to curing poisons that could kill a person in seconds. Plants were also useful in fighting against the supernatural, and finding it. Rose paused as she glanced up to see some familiar faces. The boys from this morning. She smiled ever so gently. "Hey guys! Do we have the same class too?!" Rose asked excitedly as she walked over to the three. "Lets see...Koyomi...Alexander...and...Haru!" Rose said, remembering the names. "Hopefully I got them right. Also, I hope your injury is better, Haru?" She said happily. "Aren't you excited? Usually the greenhouse is off limits, but because we're in this class, we get access to it!" Rose said. Just then, a youthful woman walked up. She was wearing normal clothing, had brilliant blue eyes and brown hair. It surprised most students. She seemed too delicate. She smiled gently. "Good day students, welcome to Botanical Studies. I will be your professor for this course, Mrs.Thanatos. But you may call me miss or teacher, or Thanatos alone if you wish. Usually Mrs.Harka would be giving this class, but she's on some important business and therefor I will be your teacher instead of her." She said, giving off a warm aura. Rose froze. "Wait...that's Anubis' mom."
Oblivion 22 162 Posted May 23, 2015 The trio watched as Rose had appeared in front of the three and managed to recall all of their names correctly. Haru in particular had become slightly embarrassed that she had remembered due to what Alex and Koyomi had said to him previously. Following Rose into the classroom, the three bore witness to their teacher who Rose had mentioned was actually Anubis' mother. Immediately, this drew Koyomi's attention as he was still having thoughts about what Samael might tell him after school had finished. Sitting in their seats with Alex sat between Koyomi and Haru while Haru ended up sat directly beside Rose. Haru felt like he should be thanking someone that he got to sit next to such a beauty, but the only thing that he could think about was the fight he was going to have with Alex later. Koyomi sighed, looking over the class with a dull expression as he crossed his arms and sat back with his eyes closed, giving very little attention to the lesson. Alex on the other hand was ready to take as many notes as humanly possible, feeling more energetic than usual. However, Alex's gaze was focused upon Haru, his mouth trying hard not to turn up into a smile. "(Haru... Unless you use your full strength against me in our fight, you will lose. So, what could you be hiding... on that right arm of yours?)" As the class carried on with Mrs Thanatos beginning the topic of the lesson, Koyomi opened his eyes very slowly, somehow having the teacher's warm and gentle aura overwhelm his senses. "(What... Is this? I feel so... Lightheaded...)" Within that moment, Koyomi face planted straight into his desk loudly. To everyone else, it would appear as if Koyomi had simply collapsed due to his lack of sleep, but in truth, something much more deranged was happening inside of Koyomi's mind. "What happened? Where am I?" Koyomi looked around slowly, trying to gain some kind of idea of where he had arrived at. "Please don't tell me I'm in another stupid and nonsensical dream..." "I wish it were... Then it would mean that 'we' wouldn't be real." Koyomi froze, a new and almost alien emotion enlightening his senses, fear. As he turned around, Koyomi was greeted by a figure who was bound by chains, their body scorched black on one side and bleached white on the other. "Who are you? Are you the one who's been telling me where to go?" "No... We did not originate from the outside... We were born here... And have survived for so very long... Too long... Very soon, we will awaken once again." "What does that mean? How are you inside of my head? What was it that brought me here? Answer me!" "You are but a boy, one who craves answers that you are not yet ready for. If you were to learn the truth right now, then your mind might not be able to handle it." Koyomi stares, blood leaking from gaps in the enclosed room, filling it up slowly. "Answer one of my questions! Please! Give me something!! I need to know who I am! What I am!" The White and Black figure tugged on its chains as it slowly reached down towards Koyomi's body. "That warm and overwhelming aura is one you can only feel from a mother who loves their child... Search for that feeling once again, and once you do, 'we' will finally be released from our imprisonment." Koyomi reached up towards the being. "What's your name?" "We... Are Nephilim." As soon as Koyomi and Nephilim's hands touched, Koyomi's eyes began to burn as images began to flash before his eyes rapidly. Events that he had no memory of, yet they had everything to do with who he was. "The Last Nephilim isn't me... It lives... inside of me." Returning to reality, Koyomi's body appeared to have frozen in place before he fell off his chair and onto the floor, his eyes darting left and right as he seemed to be paralysed with fear. "(There's a monster... Living inside of me... It can kill me at any moment... And I can't do anything about it... Is this fear? My first emotion that I've ever felt is fear? Could it be that I'm human after all? I'm surrounded by enemies... If anyone finds out, I could be killed... Samael... He knows... He knows what's inside of me... How else would he know to come after me? ... Wait, I'm drawing attention to myself. I need to calm down... Now!)" Koyomi slowly got back on to his seat, his face deadly serious. "Sorry... I fell asleep. I'll make sure to pay more attention in the future." Everyone else in the class, especially Alex and Haru who were completely bewildered. "Dude, you okay?" "... No comment." Stardustblade358 806 Posted May 24, 2015 Mrs.Thanatos didn't seem to be as bothered by the interruption as the rest of the class, instead she gave a warm smile and said, "You guys need to make sure to get plenty of sleep. I know it is exciting for your first year at the academy but sleep is sleep, you know. Tell me if you need anything, or if you feel sick, the school nurse can do wonders!" She said happily as she resumed to present to the class, explaining about the types of plants that they will encounter. Rose took notes vigorously, and glanced around from time to time. To one time she noticed that Haru missed a bit of information, to which she proceeded to write it on his notebook on the side. "There." She said, smiling at Haru innocently enough. "Now usually students complain that this class should be optional instead of mandatory, but I assure you that this basic knowledge will be able to save your life one day were it to be in danger. You will learn of poisonous plants, plants that have medical capabilities, and plants that you will have to look out for. With these you will be able to even create potions to cure injuries and sickness, along with making poisons to be able to make your targets easier to kill. You will only be able to have access to the greenhouse next door with a teacher present, or with a special pass due to the both useful and dangerous plants we have in there. So please don't be like last year's students and try to pull a prank in there. We still haven't found all of the bones to this day."Mrs. Thanatos explained as she walked over to the window and picked up a potted plant, bringing it closer to the class. "Today, since it is your first day, however, I wish to intrigue you with the interesting first topic, the carnivorous plants. You know of normal carnivorous plants, but the ones we shall be studying are a magical variety. Story said that normal plants absorbed the magic, and became much more intelligent, thus creating the species we have to deal with today. This one we have here is an Abnormal Venus Fly Trap. Magical cousins of the Venus Fly Trap. This is a baby one." Mrs.Thanatos said as she showed off the baby plant in the pot. It had colorful chalk writing on it that said the name 'Charlie'.
