Does anybody else find this disconcerting?

The Birth By Sleep intro uses clips from the secret ending, right? Everybody knows that. Here's my problem. The capes. They show the capes in the intro, yet this is contradicted in every scene through the entire game. Now, I and probably everybody on this site knows that the capes were a beta design that was removed due to PSP limitations, but what about fans who haven't seen FM+'s secret ending? They'll look at the capes, and then wonder why they're not in the actual game.

I think they should have re-rendered the scenes without the capes, because as is it's just lazy.

True. I mean, there were a lot of clips from the secret ending that didn't even make it into the game: Ven being left handed, Terra's eyes changing color, etc.

But who knows? Maybe this will be one of those cutscenes they've changed for the western version.

I always felt that they caould have at least put the capes in the storyline, since the trouble came in at the Mirage Arena.

The thing is that the capes slowed down the game because of how many codes they have to function. I found dis out from a nomura interview.

We know. It's not why the capes were removed in gameplay, it's that the intro recycled clips from the FM secret ending that still showed them with capes, and for continuity, it would've made more sense to remove them.

jeez,I only realized now,firetrucking hell....

well thats just downright laziness in my opinion.

It's not lazy, they were working on other games and maybe didn't have enough time to take them off, ever think of that?

Each development team only works on one game at a time.

Oh, sorry, I didn't know that, but I don't think they wanted to keep us waiting much longer, I mean it was three years

It would've taken less, seeing as how BBS was the first out of the first portable trio (BBS, coded, Days) to start development, but the Osaka team had to put it off for a year to make Re:CoM.

The wait time has been fairly consistent for main games. KH1->KH2 = 4 years, KH2->BBS = 4 years.
