The Fenikkusu Tribe, a tribe of political power, remained to be the balance of the two nations Riderrek and Sudon, and the only object preventing the two to go to a large scale war. Leaders in the year of XX54 had taken over both nations, with interest in securing their counterpart. Subsequently, they have cleverly hatched plans to eliminate the Fenikkusu tribe, sparking their war.

As the days continue, the tribe is closer to their inevitable downfall, and the world at conflict.

Your character is part of either three powers - a survivor of the resourceful Fenikkusu (or a close ally of it who happens to be in the mix), a disciple of Riderrek, or a knight of Sudon. You can also be a neutral being, such as a traveler or merchant, or even part of one of your own small factions.


Alrighty guys, this here is my first RP. It's actually part of an even bigger story that I plan to create long-term (not necessarily with you guys), so I'm basically testing it out to see what makes the gaming community tick. To kick it off, lets start with rules.

• [*]Cursing is allowed... but keep it to less intense words, please. [*]No god-modding. Controlling other people's character is only allowed with their permission. If you did get permission, make sure I know (via chat or PM) [*]Romance is allowed - encouraged even, Just keep it PG-13. [*]This is a fantasy-style RP. Yes, materializing weapons or supernatural powers are permitted and encouraged [*]You are allowed up to two characters. [*]To further induce plot, betrayal and alliance with another power is allowed. [*]There will be calm periods and there will be conflict. Just letting you know beforehand. [*]This kinda goes with god-modding, but I want to stress THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO KILLING OF CHARACTERS WITHOUT CONSENT. Characters can get into conflict (and injury), but if you want to kill off a character, discuss with each other then please tell me (This is preferred when you feel that you no longer would like to participate in the RP.) [*]Betrayal of the powers is allowed (Say you originally started in alliance with Fenikkusu and decide to change over to Sudon) [*]No OP characters [*]If you feel that music will enhance the current post, by all means include it! [*]RP Posts have no minimum limit, but the maximum, seen below, is to give everyone a fair share in the development of the story. I encourage dialogue, which is why there is no minimum limit. What that means is that, if possible, when two people are online together, and their characters have a conversation we can allow more seamless speech instead of trying to fill in our thoughts. This is something interesting that I'm implementing, and I believe it will be much better in situations where there are groups of characters in one place chatting. After posting, you must wait for at least one other person to contribute to post again. If you feel the need to edit, by all means do so.
  

 

"Dust"? "Aura"? "Semblance"?

Aaron was left with a more-than-questionable explanation of how to get through the Emerald Forest. It seems though that there were some "pieces" that he had to collect, that much he knew. Headmaster Ozpin, as he was known as, discerned Aaron with a piercing look. Had he known the secret that the boy had hidden for years? Come to think of it, Aaron left on his application many things blank. He never took lessons from Combat School, unless his training with Crew counted… no, he would've learned of Dust and such. So, then why would they accept his application and invite him anyway? *Sigh*. Being born and raised outside of Vale seemed to make the kingdom more confusing by the second.

The woman next to Ozpin—Glenda Goodwitch?—had began to speak. "I'm sure you've heard rumors of how the teams were to be set up. Allow me to dispel them."
Teams?
"Each of you will be assigned team members, starting today, and this team, comprising of four people, will be with you for the next four years."

"So, we've created a system," Ozpin began. "The first person you make eye-contact with… will be your teammate for the rest of your time here at Beacon"

Crap. Aaron glanced at the others. He'd seen it before, probably, but he noticed people had… strange body parts. Someone, for example, had black cat ears, another had wings (small but noticeable), and yet another had a tail. He would almost consider them costumes but… they moved according to their emotions. But that was the least important part. Aaron had yet to make a bond or be noticed by anyone there. Also, a girl, black-haired and grasping a katana caught his eye... But in the worst way possible. She seemed to have a demeanor where she thought she was high-and-mighty, and better than everyone else standing there. The worst part is, she looked like she was, and something about her just ticked Aaron off. His goal today was to try to avoid everyone, especially her, in Emerald Forest. The others glanced back with equally queasy looks.

"Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path," Ozpin directed. Good, that was something Aaron could deal with. As long as he didn't need his powers. "You will be launched into the Emerald Forest shortly. Are there any questions?"

Clutching the hilt of his Chokuto, Aaron crouched, battle-ready, as Crew taught him. He had been prepared for all the challenges he was given…but he wasn't sure about what was to come…

Special Powers: Has eyes that change color and reflect his emotions, has the power over atoms (albeit they wear him out quite quickly). These atom powers allow him to materialize objects, like weapon extentions (second sword, etc.) along with his sword. The sword was  granted to him in a ritual for his 18^th birthday, as it symbolizes the growth in skill from a boy to a young man.

 

Background: The Fennikusu Tribe is an advanced tribe both technologically and in power. However, they continue to maintain their old culture and value brotherhood and sisterhood. Roen was born a blind baby. However, during that time the Fennikusu tribe was researching the creation of artificial eyes with the ability of foresight. With their research almost finished, they decided to test it out on the son of a well-respected tribe member, who was soon-to-be the leader. 

Roen grew up as nearly any child in the tribe, and was trained in a special class of, interestingly enough, ninja-like swordsmen, since his tribe specialized in swift, stealth arts. He often uses one-handed and two-handed techniques with his sword, and can materialize objects at will, although he runs the cost of extreme fatigue or even fainting. 

 

Other Information: Roen has grown to be the kind, resourceful type of leader, despite the mentality that he doesn't give a damn about leading anything or anyone. Since his emotions are shown through his eyes, he is easily readable to others, and is often times a very bad liar. Because the Fennukusu value brotherhood, he intends to keep the bonds he makes strong, yet is very susceptible to lies himself, and sometimes leads trust in the wrong places.

My chars kinda rely on veering rlse atm...

I mind as well jus clarify some things about my character's powers

 

 

First: Dex's sonic ripper and DImension cutter: well I have explained that in order for the Sonic ripper technique or the Dimension cutter to be used you need to go into a "Trance" state, but in order for you to enter the trance state you need to sacrifice one of your emotions. For example Dex can go into sonic ripper any time he wants to, however he sacrifices his sense of fear and hesitation in order to use it effectively, you see with each "Trance stage" you go through, you have to sacrifice more and more senses, and in order for you to enter "Dimension cutter" you must deactivate all of your emotions, meaning you are pretty much blank, but the power you gain is immense as you guys saw.

 

But here's the dangerous part of Dimension cutter, the body doesn't take well to the deactivation of its emotions and sense capabilities, and if too many are deactivated at the same time, when you go out of the trance and they return, the mind might break due to it, you see, one or two emotions can be safely deactivated and activated again, but more than that give more and more problems that go higher and higher in risk with each number of emotions sacrificed, you see, Dex literally managed to pull a shot in the dark in his backstory for coming back from that deep trance you must enter to use Dimension cutter, he won't use it again unless absolutely necessary and as a last resort only, for he might not survive it again.

 

well you technically don't die, your body and mind might break from having everything come back all at once, and if that happens, your character might pass out and be unconciouss, or enter a vegetative stage, where its pretty much worse than death, while it is possible to come back the coma, it is rare and isn't advised.

 

 

 

now as for Alicia's anti magic aura during battles.

 

It will not COMPLETELY deactivate magic around her, it will simply weaken it at a fast pace, consider it a mana draining power, where you lose more and more when near her, pretty much debilitating mages and warriors that use magic and magically enhanced items, it also won't immediately deactivate spells thrown at her, it will simply weaken them when they get in the aura's range, for example you cast a fireball, her anti mgic aura will weaken the fireball signifficantly, making it nearly harmless, that means that a very powerful magic or if you can get in and out of its range in time, you can still get your hits through, if she put ups a anti magic field or a anti magic barrier its another story, as they are stronger than her aura, but a powerful enough spell can overcharge it and break it, or it can be broken by physical means with certain techniques and weapons.

 

Just wanted to put that out there in case "Overpowered! plz nerf!" comments pop up about them

 

I thought they were pretty balanced. I kinda implied the drawbacks, but you did mention a bit more about Alicia that I didn't know.

The weapons kinda change like that, but they're imbued in neon color.

 

But Roen barely uses atoms, aside from the afterimage of dodges because cardiovascular health amiright since his powers take up a lot to even cast (unlike magic)

And moving himself is not necessarily teleporting. He kinda deteriorates himself, moves, and rematerializes.

I won't post just yet. I need to make some things clear. This goes to Scrapmaster

 

1.) I don't like people controlling g my characters. Yes that brief point during dex's engage on Soren did annoy me, as I had no control over my own damn characters.

 

2.) Cracking armor? Yet felling multiple of Aster Knights, all of whom have the same exact armor? Armors that far surpass some stupid dummy?

 

3.) For the love of god use periods man. Long winded run on sentences is annoying to read :| commas everywhere.

I'm not saying remove, I'm saying fix. Leave attacks open ended and remember how you portray your attacks. If two slashes took out two Knights then that flurry would have sliced Soren to bits and continued on to kill Zion. On an unrelated note, just know that, in the end, Zion's getting captured.I thought I could pull a surprise but it seems everyone's trump cards are bring pulled and we're only on page 3...

Chill...shit happens. I've not been as descriptive or clear as I needed or meant, I've made continuity errors, etc. Just take from this as you should - ya done firetruck ed up, ya fixed it. Time helps with learning, but take it from me - everything new just means something else to mess up
