I've left my profile page blank for a very long time. I wanted to add a video from youtube that autoplays from a set time (i.e. I want it to autoplay from X-min, Y-secs).

 

I have no experience in coding whatsoever, the best I can come up with is to use the special BBCode button/option and then adding a media link (which neither autoplays or commences playback from desired duration).

 

If anyone here can help me, I'd be very very grateful.

I read somewhere it does have something to do with the autoplay=1 thingy at the end of the link though.

Are you using the share link, or just copying out of the URL bar? You need to use the share link to autoplay.

on the video go to the share option. they should give you a link. use that and a &autoplay=1 with that link with no spaces in between them

Under the share link on Youtube, there should be a box with "Start at:" next to it, like what's shown in Tatsumi's picture. You can set a time in the text box.

I just gave it a go, didn't work though.

I've noticed the forum code can handle autoplay, but not codes that tell the player to play from a specified time.

Yup yup, I agree with you, there is always something wrong with youtube
