(okay guys feel free to post and also, follow this thread to stay up to date! Happy Hunting/Hiding!)

It was a long cloudy day in the city of Brookshire, where on a busy street stood the Baker Street Laundromat. A young girl of seventeen exited the back room of said building, and bid her father farewell.

"Papa," The young lady said. "I'm going outside." The father, busy with fixing a washing machine nodded.

"Sí, nena linda. Ten cuidado por favor." He replied in his native language.

With that, the young lady, named Henrietta, left the building proudly wearing a brooch of a spider on her olive green jacket. Right above her breast pocket.

Henrietta sighed as she entered the busy streets. "Hopefully today will bring more answers..." She muttered underneath her breath.

This....this was too damn easy. Laughable indeed.   If anything, the greatest statistic for Taboos....was the daunting percentage of teenage Taboos who had died. More than seventy five percent of Ta

Delilah hummed, considering the opportunities. She lowered her voice, trying to make sure that no one else would hear.

"We may go to my study... Or we could see where our fellow Taboos are going. Those girls- the one with the Curse of an Arachnid and Lamb, we could try to mingle with them, although the Hyena one is rather strange... Whatever you wish to do."

Meanwhile Henrietta crossed her arms. "Well, it's the weekend so the least of my worries is Economics. Opportunity cost and all that junk isn't as important as trying to find out more about ourselves and our abilities." She still kept her scarf over her mouth, although it probably did nothing to hide her identity. "Huey was it? Please don't make a scene when we go in."

John thought for a second. "We should probably just go. There's no doubt going to be hunters here, as well as media, and I don't want to get cought by either of them." He thought for a second. "It could be smart to follow the other taboo though, see where they go. Or we could go back to your study or my workshop."

Huey smiled at Henrietta innocently. "Of course! That just depends on what your definition of a "scene" is. If it's what I think it is, then I should probably just stop talking altogether."

Kohina, ignoring anything at all said to her, was distracted. By something rather distracting.

A person. A scary looking person. She had barely noticed him, and was looking straight at him.

Mikhail.

"E-Excuse me sir...is everything okay...?" She asked with a gentle voice.

She really didn't want anyone to notice her talking to him.

A person? A young woman, by the looks of her.

Mikhail glanced over her just once. She had to be in her mid-teens. Quiet and naive. She had just come from the area of the other Taboos...and from the trinket she had, she certainly had enough evidence against her, at least to Mikhail, that suggested she was in fact a Taboo herself.

Perhaps Mikhail's target had changed...she certainly seemed to be a better and certainly easier target, although a difficult target was always more fun.

"Yes, everything is fine. I was just investigating," Mikhail said to her, softly. New Target acquired, he could only think to himself; someone new to send to hell.

Delilah looked at Henrietta and others. She scanned Mikhail, knowing immediately that something was off about him. Suddenly, she grabbed his hand, and walked off with him.

"That man is a Hunter." She said. She noticed Mikhail eyeing Kohina. As they were passing by, Delilah bumped shoulders with Mikhail.

"Excuse me... I should watch where I'm going shouldn't I?" With that, she quickly led John out of the park.

"Be weary of him." Delilah told John. "When I bumped into him I saw marks. He has a few.

Meanwhile Henrietta sighed as she spoke with Huey. "Yes, that's a good idea... Just wait until we're in the back room then you could do whatever to your heart's content." She saw the exchange between Kohina and the man. She slowly to Kohina's hand.

"We should go." Henrietta said softly. "It isn't a good idea to stay here any longer... And I'm sure that man has things to do."

Max was still keeping a watch on them from afar, and just as he was gonna start to move closer to try to blend in and mingle to get to know them better, Deliah and Henrietta simply grabbed some hands and walked off away from Mikhail he managed to see the entire scene without much notice, after they had left Mikhail alone he simply walked by him.

"Well that was abrupt" he commented beside him, he knew this man, Mikhail was one of the few hunters of taboos that are well known by hunters alike, he had never met him in person or in action, but he knew at least about his exploits on his hunts, even though Max had quite a few hunts under his track record, Mikhail had more than him, which made him at least a bit wary and respectful of the man.

"I believe you saw the fire?" he asked Mikhail.

"Who didn't?" MIkhail asked him, "It was seen for miles around. I knew that, in many areas, if there was some form of disaster or accident one of them would arrive to 'save the day' and such. I was surprised at how many of them arrived, but I was pleased with the outcome. These idiots don't realize that know I've targeted each and every one of them."

Mikhail glanced at Max. He was a taboo himself, wasn't he? For now, Mikhail would leave this one be. He had other targets to worry about for now. Like that girl....Mikhail would go for her first. He suspected that the bear taboo was hot headed enough that if Mikhail openly killed another Taboo, that boy would come running....right into Mikhail's scope.

John looked over his shoulder at mikahil and committed his face to memory. He made sure he knew mikahils appearance well. this wast the first time he dealt with hunters, and he knew awareness was key. "Thanks for grabbing me when you saw that hunter. i appreciate that."

Huey smiled at Henrietta's words. "Anything? Well now, that's quite a big promise. I don't think you really know what it means, do you?" Huey's tooth ached once more. "It's okay though, I like you. I like you all a lot. So I'll do some very nice things for you." Huey smiled once again. "Do lead the way. I'd very much like to see what you have in mind for poor, helpless little Huey."

"True, the numbers of heroes today was unexpected for sure" Max said with a normal tone, "But that isn't a bad thing, considering our line of work" he said to Mikhail, both of them were hunters after all, "Good to know I wasn't the only one keeping an eye out for them though." he said with a small smile, 'They don't know the trouble they've got themselves into...' Max thought to himself.

"Either way, I wish us both good luck" he said to Mikhail before walking off to make preparations for what he was about to do next, they knew about Mikhail from what he could see, but they didn't know about him.

Kenneth and his brothers had finally made it back to their humble abode. Kenneth stopped in front of the front door, twisting the knob, but not going inside just yet.

"Say, guys. When the night comes, how do you feel about sleeping on the roof tonight?", he asked them. The three brothers would always plan an evening to sleep on the roof at least once a month. It was for two reasons. The first was to get out of the house and sleep under the stars, or to help calm Chris' very violent urges he had once a month. The moon seemed to help that.

"I'm game!", Ted replied as Ken opened the door and went inside. He eagerly followed.

However, Chris stayed by the door, sensing something nearby.

"Guys...", he mumbled, covering his left eye. "Something seems... off. My mark... It burns. Something's outside..." His particular mark was his red glass eye.

"Naw, you're just hungry. Worry about it later tonight.", Ted replied, pulling Chris inside the house and closing the door.

Sid remained motionless in his perch. it seems one of them noticed his presence, but not his position. he would have to be careful. he didnt hear that the brothers would be sleeping on the roof tonight, so he saw no reason not to stay a while longer and see what he could see. Once the door was closed, he snapped his bow together in case he needed it.

MIkhail was finding it almost irritating that these children were getting so....unnerved by his presence. It was if they somehow new...which was damn near impossible. Mikhail had never shown his face to anyone when he was wearing the mask. So how come these kids could get so put off by him? It wasn't like he was creeping around, or doing anything suspicious at all...

No matter.

"Tonight," Mikhail said under his breath, "We enjoy the next hunt."

Kohina waved to Mikhail before being dragged away by Henrietta.

"You don't have to drag me away from people Henrietta." She complaint, looking at her rather blankly.

Delilah hummed as she walked along with John.

"It's no matter... I can't let my new acquaintance get hurt now can I? As a Taboo we must stick together... Although that is rather hard to say since many Taboo hunt their own kind and have their own anterior motives." She sighed. "Let's go to my study. I doubt following that spider girl is safe. If we join them then the Hunters have all of us in one target."

Meanwhile Henrietta frowned softly at Kohina. "I'm sorry..." She said. "It's just that that guy looked way too creepy... Then again I guess that's probably just my 'Spidey sence' she said with a chuckle. "We could go back if you'd like." Henrietta stopped and looked to Huey.

"You'll like it. I call it my little secret base."

"Yeah, sounds good. Study it is." Deep breaths John. Dont do anything stupid. You can do it. Your just gonna go and sit. You sit all the stupid time. Find some chill. He though all this, but it didn't really help.

  • 2 weeks later...

John had been standing there thinking for a moment about what he would tell his mom happened to his clothes. He then snapped back and jogged up to Delilah. "so, how long have you been cursed? ive been a taboo for a while now. you seem very knowledgeable about our kind, so i imagine its been a while too, huh?"

"Since I was thirteen." Delilah said with a blank expression. "I've met other Tabbo, who have informed me and whatnot. It's common for Taboo to discover their abilities and Mark at around thirteen or twelve years of age since that is when hormones begin to take effect, or in your terms, puberty. There have been some cases for Taboo to discover their powers as early as six years old, or even as late as thirty. It's extremely rare however." Once they got to her home, which was a fancy looking private manor in the outskirts of the city, Delilah opened the door and gestured John in.

"I send my servants home when I am alone, so we have the house to ourselves."

"Christ i didnt want to know that." John said under his breath. It was a miracle he didnt say it out loud, as he was diverting all mental process to not panicing that he was in a girls house. Despite being quite confident in front of the press he was quite nervous with the ladies and he had never really even talked to one before, not to mention become friends with one. Once they had taken a seat in Delilahs study, he commented "This is qutie nice. thanks for having me over. " thats what people say right? He took a deep breath out. he was doing okay so far.

Delilah leaned back and crossed one leg over the other. She was deeply amused by this John. "I can tell you are nervous. I can only assume it is because I am the opposite sex which also must means you have little to no experience in socializing with a female." Her eyes looked to the window. "I cannot only tell this from my own assumption, but also because of the face that I can smell fear and similar negative emotions. Also your temperature increased considerably from your heart beating rapidly in your chest which I can also tell from my thermal vision." She clasped her hands together. "I think is... Rather cute and amusing."

John was taken aback by this. "I mean yeah, your totally right. Didnt know that scored me points though." Somehow, having this out in the open made him a little less nervous, but soon he was just as nervous as he realized he was in the same situation as before. He was in a girls house, alone, and trying to talk without using a series of unintelligible stammers. just stat cool john. your doing good. "So. what do you think was up with that library setting on fire back there?"

"It could be an accident." Delilah commented, opening up a book that was on her table. "I believe it was a deliberate attack. Not a terrorist attack no, but a planned event to lure the Taboo out so the Hunters could see what they're up against." She flipped a few pages. "We all fell for it. I only fell for it somewhat purposefully. I hid in the bushes inorder to take a survey of the other Taboo as well. I think they would attack you or that arachnid girl first. You both seem to be the biggest threat especially you as your soul is mixed with that of a bear."

John though about this for a moment. he had never considered himself a threat before. "Yeah, i guess my bear  form is pretty strong. But do you know of anyone who would want to do this to us? or do you think the hunters are just getting more bold?"

  • 3 months later...

And suddenly, out of nowhere and several months late, I post!

Sid yawned. He was tired of sitting in the tree. Even though he had learned virtually nothing, he decided his day was productive enough and decided to go home. He dropped from his perch silently, and once he was far enough away from the house, he regained his leisurely pace back to his car, and had a calm drove back home. Once there he hung up his bow, tossed his knife on its usual spot on the coffe table in the foyer, and walked to the kitchen hunting for food (pun very much intended). He opened his fridge "tsk, man I should have gone shopping while I was in the city. Jeez. Way to go idiot." He grabbed the leftovers of Mexican he had a few nights earlier, tossed it in the microwave, and waited. His eyes drifted to his mantle where his marks were displayed. "Man I hope this lion lead pans out. I haven't had a new hunt In months." He pulled out his food and sat on the couch. " I wonder if I should figure out what that library fire was about" he said through a mouth full of food and turned the news on to see.
