Even though it would be nice if this game is going to be on the 3ds I think this is fake because it looks weird and a little off. Anyways guys would you mind getting a remake of this game on the 3ds, or a sequel to this game, which, in my opinion, would be better.  Don't get me wrong. I love TTYD. It's one of my favorite games on the gamcube and my favorite Paper Mario game.

I'd be cool with  TTYD port, but it seems crazy unlikely. Paper Mario is hardly Nintendo's most liked franchise, especially after Sticker Star on the same system. I wouldn't mind a port or remake on 3DS or Wii U, because it's like the best RPG ever, and because it's kind of a hassle to track down these days for a reasonable price. (Though we did get two sequels already, as much as people like to ignore them.)

I wouldn't mind a 3D port. However I think this is fake because I doubt that they would bring Paper Mario back with how poorly the series does in general. It's a shame too because I loved Paper Mario for the Wii.

 Shitty battle system for the most part, but I still loved it. I dunno why people hate it so much, it was a huge step up from Super Paper Mario at least.

Most people, including myself, dislike Sticker Star because it got rid of almost everything the first two paper mario games had and that it didn't have a story at all.

oh okay I never played a Paper Mario game before but I've been hearing Sticker Star was awful. Kay thanks for clearing that up

but the jist of it

Miyamoto told them to cut the story and only use characters/enemies from Super Mario Bros 3. It's the most creatively bankrupt Mario RPG ever because of that. Where previous entries had wrestling arenas in the sky, nerd castles, twilight town, and video game hell, this game has... grass world... desert world... forest world.

They also removed any trace of RPG elements. You don't level up or gain skills. Fighting only rewards you with coins. Rather than having standard attack abilities you instead have an incredibly limited sticker album to pull attacks from. Since stickers are rarely dropped by enemies, and you have to backtrack to actually buy new stickers, and even a normal battle will force you to use multiple stickers, avoiding battles is by and far a better option. The bosses are really bad as well, they have ludicrous amounts of HP, the only 'good' way to beat them is to use a specific giant sticker, which not only takes up a lot of space in your album, but gives no indication if it's effective against the boss, can be used for puzzles, and if it's used on the wrong puzzle is destroyed. You also can't carry mroe than one of the same giant sticker, and the only way to get another one is to backtrack or pay an insane amount of coins

 

It's also just plain not true to the rest of the games. Bowser doesn't talk in this game, but was regarded as one of the best characters in the previous entries. It also reduced Princess Peach back down to a useless damsel who gets kidnapped and then you never see again until the end, whereas in the first two games while she DID get kidnapped, she had playable segments where she actively tried to escape/help Mario, and she was outright playable in Super Paper Mario.

All of the games previous were notable for having quirky and unique villains, too. The first major boss in the original is the Koopa Bros, which is an homage to the Power Rangers/Ninja Turtles. Thousand Year Door had all sorts of stuff, like the aforementioned wrestling. Super Paper Mario had a gang of bad guys through the entire game.

 

There are NO side characters, too. The previous games gave us party members, NPCs and stuff like that. In this game, there's one original characters: a crown that follows you around. They don't have ANY variety in the town. The previous games had different designs and species, or at least Toads with different coloured caps. In this we just get Toads with red spots, and one Toad with green spots.

 

Music was pretty good though

 

But yeah, overall one of the most crushingly disappointing games I've played, and something that drained a lot of respect I had for Miyamoto, as well as a major reason I'll never trust Nintendo

I wouldn't mind if they did port this game to the 3DS considering it was the greatest Paper Mario game every, and even though Super Paper Mario wasn't that great it also wasn't that bad but there was a lot of things wrong with it. And having Thousand Year Door on the 3DS would be the best thing every, it's time for a new Paper Mario game anyway, and hopefully they a good Paper Mario game for the WiiU I feel like they could do a lot of things with what they have.  Plus they do need a new Paper Mario game it's been a long time since Super Paper Mario came out completely ignoring the fact that Sticker Star was a game

Can't watch the video because I can't stand that guy's voice, I'm the same way with every Gamexplain video (Although I dislike that channel for a lot of other reasons)

 

However, judging from the beginning, it looks like the only actual footage didn't show a bottom screen. If they'd shown both screens in action, I'd consider believing this. That fake Rayman DLC leak taught me how easy it is to fake footage, so I doubt this is actually happening. They should just work on a Wii U Paper Mario game, instead. I wouldn't mind a way to actually play this game, but I doubt this is true.
