So I've only read the first 30 pages of the Kingdom Hearts novel, and I must say I'm very impressed. I was worried about the transition from video game to book, but there is so much more detail than I could have imagined! To give you some examples, in the video game, I thought Sora was indifferent toward Kairi and Riku's friendship. But in the novel, you read into Sora's inner thoughts, and Sora is actually very jealous of Riku. Also, Wakka was the one who taught Sora how to use a sword! In the game, it's almost like the Final Fantasy characters were an after thought on Destiny Islands. Even when Sora goes into Traverse Town, Cid was the one who called Leon to come to the accessory shop to get the Keyblade. Little hints like this really changed my viewpoint of how I will play the game from now on. I'm curious to see what you all of think of the novel, and if you haven't bought it yet, I would highly suggest it! I hope they continue translating these.
