Thats Fourteen guys... the MMO

 

Yes, it is my first MMO ever... well besides Wizard 101 and ToonTown I played when I was a kid.

I could never play WoW because it could never run on my laptop, which is why I made sure to get FFXIV for the PS4, which looks and runs great by the way. 

 

As only playing it for about 6 hours I don't think I can decide if I like it or not... 

 

It started me in a desert because I wanted to be a Gladiator.  And if you don't know me, I hate deserts, I'd have much rather started in that beautiful forest land instead. But thats not the games fault. I just dislike deserts because there is one in EVERY FF game, and it like of all the places you pick one with nothing but dry sand and rocks? Again this is personal opinion.

 

I feel like the best parts of the game are yet to come.. like I want to by and decorate a house, that seems hype! I do wish they provided more clothing options for the early levels... every NPC seems intent on giving me oven mits for gloves. I had to sacrifice some defense so I don't look like a Pillsbury Tosterboy when I fight monsters . 

 

I hope the fighting gets at least somewhat challenging... The better fights are the ones where you have to dodge area of attack skills. 

 

Oh yeah I'm in the Jenova world... because of FFVII... who wouldn't want to be in a place named after Sephiroth's mother?

We are both cat people!! Seekers of the sun or Keepers of the Moon? Also They gave me the Adventure's Guild and the Gladiator's Guild at the start, so they have houses? Or are you talking about the free company thing? because I don't know what a free company really is or why everyone wants me to join their's...

A free company is a guild as we know it. Lots of useless people gathering around

I'd play if I had money. I haven't played since the Closed Beta, because... well, I don't have a job, so no money to pay the monthly fee. I chose Thaumaturge, because I love that Class or any Class dealing in Black Magic. Although, I might choose Archer next time. Only made it to level 15 with the Thaumaturge class because I encountered a glitch that said I completed a story mission when I didn't, and it wouldn't let me start the next one because I apparently didn't complete the level 15 one.

Well I am a Lv. 50 Paladin with Item Lv. 111, I have played since the open beta, and I can tell you that the fun and cool stuff will come later on, you just need to be patient, oh and a lot of cool equipment will come around from Lv. 25 and upwards.

 

In my opinion is Final Fantasy XIV one of the best games Square Enix have ever made.

Is the game how you expected it to be? It wasn't my first MMO, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it tried to distinct itself from others out there.

 

XIV is really fun. I upgraded my PS3 version to PS4 not long ago and I like that you can use the touchpad to act almost like a mouse. One of these days I'll get to level 50 (currently a 34 Black Mage), but that'll have to wait till summer at the very least.

 

Good luck with buying a house, they are crazy expensive that's for sure
