I think i have discovered my writing style.

 

My stories, or concepts oftentimes take place in dark/dystopian settings.

 

The characters are sometimes tragic and there is always going to be one member of the cast who has been victim of domestic abuse or was a witness.

 

The characters tend to bounce off snarky (sarcastic) dialogue ala Avengers or Buffy

I too have noticed that writers tend to trend in certain themes of stories.  Like one author will be known for their humor, or another will be great at writing strong female protagonists and that generally is their theme or style of writing.  One thing that I find interesting is that it can change as time goes on; I know my style certainly has.  I've pretty much gone from writing angst/tragedy to humor and action, something which is rather surprising and yet many authors do it.

 

Anyhow, good job pinpointing what you're best at!  I'll really have to check out your writing sometime.
