Mickey has/will have the book of prophecies

Posted

It is probably already thought out by other people in this forum, but seeing as i have not played kingdom hearts and been in the forum for over a year and only recently getting back into it after my cousin dumped me with his copy of DDD, i noticed that in the opening sequence of the game, Mickey appears to summon other keyblade wielders from a book (which has a really poor binder seeing how all the pages are scattered around). This reminded me of the book of prophecies which allows the user to conjure powerful warriors from the future or the past. So considering the book will be in this game, it may be possible that the returning keyblade wielders will return via the book and Mickey will have possession of it.

The fact that sustains this theory is the portal that leads to the keyblade graveyard in Disney Castle, leading to Terra. It may have been non canon in the KH timeline, but isn't it awfully familiar to the conjuring from the book. In Recoded, Jiminy's journal was exploited in Disney Castle throughout the game, which Maleficent says that it is similar to the Book. So maybe the actual book is within the castle and somewhat influence the computers that scanned the journal. Another fact is the portal to Timeless River. It has time travel. I know Merlin was the one to conjure the spell of the door, but considering he is an old wizard, he may feel it is safe to transport Sora and gang to the past because he knows the book is there. Then another thing that got me thinking, what if the Cornerstone of light is the book, or somewhat similar in powers. It is so strong, no heartless intruded the castle. And the stone was there in the past of Timeless River. The book has the power to conjure wariros form the past and future, so it allowed safe passageway into the past for Sora and gang, because the book or the cornerstone conjured them. Seeing as the castle is Mickey domain, he may have or suspicions that the book is within the castle.

Of course this may seem like a really stupid theory and most of you would argue Nomura logic and that it would probably not be true in the actual release of the game, i just want to put it out as i have not done a theory in a long time and i just want to relight my Kingdom Heart fire in my heart

Oh my goodnesss, I think you might be onto something there!

I thought that the book of prophecies.....

Ends up having only the lines for the Keyblade war and then the rest of the pages are blank. It then leaves the 'bearer of the tome to carve out their own path' by writing into the Book of Prophecies. A bit like Jiminy's journal and thereby creating a world within the book....in a sense ALL the worlds of the KH series so far is from a book...therefore a book within a book within a book allows the worlds to exist within worlds within worlds (Confusing right?).

Almost a little bit like the Dragon Scroll from Kungfu Panda; its meant to be a powerful artifact but its true power is only reflected by its holder.

So in this sense, the fates predicted in the book of prophecies depends on who has seen it and how they interpret it.

Master Xehanort probably read the book and interpret it that the worlds will fall to darkness while if Sora or another 'good' character reads it they might read between the lines and conclude that light will prevail....afterall there is more to light than whats meets the eye.

Knowing Nomura, he will probably make up some ridiculous explanation for all this

There has never been any indication that Mickey has the book. If anyone has the Book of Prophecy it is Master Xehanort.

No, Xehanort gets everything every time.

Maleficent deserves it. She's the mistress of all evil and seeing as she was the first person in the series willing to hunt it down, she deserves her redemption after her disappointing cameo for Kingdom Hearts 2.

She'll only use it to get a castle. :P lol

I doubt that. xehanort once stated that it is the future he cant see thru. if he has the book, why does he need time travel to seek out himself when he can use the book?

Everything in the series points to Xehanort already having the Tome. How else would he have known of over twelve years of events. I mean let's be realistic here Malficent is the secondary antagonist in this current arc.

Xehanort (Post DDD retcons) knew everything from Birth by Sleep onwards and how the events would play out. It makes perfect sense for him not to know past that point since the Tome itself only outlines up to the gathering of the lights and darknesses and foreshadows the results of their final clash. Also Xehanort used time travel as a contingency plan because he knew not all the original members of Organization XIII would become successful vessels. In order to compensate for that loss he used his past self to splintered versions of himself to fill in the gap.

I believe it Nomura said that the book was actually a book of sheet music. And I think Disney Castle is another one of those "special worlds" in this case being connected to several worlds including Mysterious Tower, Keyblade Graveyard and it's own past. It really would make more sense for Xehanort to have it seeing as he's foreseen all the events up to this points and especially so if that theory of him being connected to the sixth Foreteller pans out.

Maybe, Mickey has a simulated copy of The Book of Prophecies. It could give Mickey a reason as to why he is familiar with the lore of The Foretellers.

Hmmm... interesting, but I don't think Mickey will have it, but then again, we do not have a clue what the connection between Jiminy's journal and the book is. The former has recorded everything that has happened along with the extra data that was hidden and the latter creates things to be, so where do the two come together?
