The Legend of Zelda: Legacy of Triforce (RP with Riki and Sabre Lily)

Posted

"Lana... the prophecy has failed to come true. The hero in green is not here, and the Dark Prince will be resurrected... Please, find the three heroes who can stop him. Only through the unity of Power, Courage, and Wisdom can we prevail... I leave the kingdom in your hands, Lana... I trust you to stop this approaching threat."

After witnessing her sister, Princess Zelda, fade away into a pitch-black fog, Lana awoke from her dream, screaming as she did so. She'd had the same nightmare for the past three months, and dreaded what it could mean. However, just as legends had told of such prophecies coming to past princesses in dreams, Lana trusted the final words of her now-missing older sister. Regardless, she was anxious of the events that would occur today.

As she was beginning to climb out of her bed, her door suddenly burst open, and a large woman wearing a plain blue and white dress entered the room, panting for breath. "Princess Lana, are you okay? I heard a scream..."

"I'm fine, Impa." Lana nodded. "I had the dream again... That's all."

"I see." Impa quickly managed to catch her breath once again, then stood up straight. "Well, soon there will be nothing more to worry yourself about! Today is the day that we get to meet the heroes that the previous princess told you of!" She spoke cheerfully, knowing how worried Lana was. The poor girl was already distraught after being forced to the throne at the young age of 14, but over the past four years, she'd only grown more worrisome and stressed.

"Yes... you're right. I should not be so concerned." Lana responded as she stood. She made her way over to her mirror, and took a short look at herself. Her tired eyes were the first thing she noticed. She'd barely managed to get any sleep the previous night. Her long, black hair also fell in front of her face. In general, she looked like a complete mess. "Now... excuse me, Impa. I need to get ready."

"Ah, yes, I understand!" Impa nodded. "I'll have the three wait outside the throne room while we wait." She ran off, rushing to make the necessary preparations.

Lana sighed, but a slight smile spread across her face. Impa had supported Lana ever since her ascent to the throne... She deserved a rest after this ordeal was finished. She began to prepare herself for the meeting she would soon have...

Meanwhile, Impa had just brought Sara, Irisviel, and Rou to a small lounge room within the castle. "The princess will be ready to meet with you soon. I thought it would be a good idea to let you meet each other before we get on to the serious talk." She smiled at the three. "I'll be back soon, okay? Stay in this room, please!" She left the room, and headed in the direction of the throne room to wait for Lana to arrive...

Sara was amazed by the inside of the castle. Having spent her whole life in a small cottage with only her older brother, a home of this size felt surreal to her. Why did the princess need such a large place to live? Who did she share the castle with? Many questions ran through the woman's head as she waited for Impa to return. However, she quickly snapped back to her current situation while thinking about what Impa had told the three about meeting each other. Ah, yes... I should make a good impression for these two. She smiled at her new comrades. "Hello, my name is Sara. Who are you two?" she asked politely.

"You're welcome, Irisviel." Sara smiled. "Let me know when you're ready to go see the princess again. I'll stay here until then."

Irisviel sat there for a good while, before nodding. "I...I'm ready."

Rou stood right by the door, his anger only mounting at this development. If he could just get the hell out of Hyrule... he slammed on the door, considering for a moment to just break it down instead. "What is keeping them from letting me out..." he pulled at the door handle again, the lock only clattered around in a joyful deface of Rou's desire to leave...

"Rou, are you okay?!" Sara ran over to the door. She tried opening it from the other side, but it was no use. "I... I think the door is locked, Rou." She explained.

Iris held Sara's hand tightly, looking down. The poor girl was still shook en up, and just needed someone to make her feel safe.

"Yes, I KNOW the door is locked. They dragged me back in here mid-rest and thus forth locked me in to prevent my leaving again. This is irritating..." His loud growl flew through the door's sound barrier as a punch to it followed that nearly broke the door in itself.

"Don't worry Rou, we'll find some help!" Sara assured him from the other side of the door. She then turned to Irisviel, noticing that she still seemed upset. She smiled to try to cheer her up. "It's okay, Irisviel. I'm here for you. Nothing will happen to you, I promise." She said, before quickly remembering Rou's predicament. "Let's go find a guard to help us with Rou, okay?

Iri nodded, and kept hold of Sara's hand. She seemed to be calming down little by little, especially with Sara's warm smile always present.

Sara wandered around the halls with Irisviel once again, and found a guard quickly. "Um, hello, sir." She bowed politely. "I apologize if I'm bothering you right now, but we need help. Our friend is locked in his room, and we were hoping you would know how to get him out..." She explained quickly.

"You mean the hero that Princess Lana asked to see? We did that for a reason..." The guard sighed. "I can help him out if you insist, though you'll need to keep a close eye on him."

"Yes, sir, we will do that. Thank you for helping!" Sara smiled, relieved that they'd managed to solve the issue. The guard then brought the two to Rou's room, and unlocked the door. After doing so, he quickly left before Sara could thank him.

Rou slammed the door open. His ire towards being in this place was evident. His low growl only amplified the animosity he showed for the very ground he stood on. The door's hinges broke and the door fell over on itself. He walked back into the room and left a large lump of gold on the table with a poorly-written note: "Take user repair door". He walked out again. "If this is so damn important then let's get it over with."

Sara didn't seem fazed by Rou suddenly busting down his door. "Very well, let's go meet with the princess!" She said, and began to head down the hallway to find Lana. The three eventually reached the throne room, where Lana and Impa had been waiting for the three to arrive.

"Ah, there you are. Did you all rest well...?" She asked calmly.

"As well as a man can when he's drugged." Rou stated plainly, in obvious contempt.

Irisviel looked away, cheeks flushed shyly.

Sara nodded. "I was able to rest well."

"Good." Lana looked at each of the heroes once more before resuming her speech from earlier. "As I said earlier, I believe that you three are the heroes of the prophecy I have heard in my dreams. However, this does not mean you will be alone in your quests. I have also seen that some others may accompany you, though only temporarily. You are the three who must put this dark force to rest, though you will be assisted by these others. I do not know who they are, but I believe that they will show themselves at the proper time." She began. "Now, as for what you must do... I believe that a group is trying to resurrect the Dark Prince, Ganon." She announced. "You will need to prevent this from happening... However, in your current state, you are not prepared for such a battle. First, you must journey to the three Temples of Virtue. These are the Temple of Power, the Temple of Wisdom, and the Temple of Courage... You can travel to them in any order you would like. Each one will test a different hero, and ensure that they are truly the correct person for this task. At the end of each one, you will find a relic. Bring these to me, and I will tell you where to go next." She looked at Impa. "Impa has a map of the kingdom of Hyrule, along with its surrounding areas. We have marked each temple on the map. Please, take it with you." After saying this, Impa handed the map to Sara. "Unless you have any more questions for me, you should leave. I do not know how much time we have to stop Ganon from returning..."

Rou sneered. "Treasure hunting under the guise of stopping Ganon. Quite the feat, gathering some of the world's best is for a few mere trinkets." He scolded. "If I didn't know that you will send your entire army on my land or drug me to try and force me to coincide with your treasure bandits, i would likely spit in your face and leave now. This is an insult."

Rou turned his back and walked away. "When you two pansies are ready, come tell me, I'll be at the gate waiting for you."

Rou walked away then, but several screams of panic and a loud grunt could be heard in the background. This will be fun...

Lana sighed. She was getting tired of Rou's behavior... At least he was finally leaving the castle now. Her gaze shifted towards Sara and Irisviel. "Do you two have any final questions, or preparations that need to be made? Rou probably won't want to be kept waiting long, so we should make this quick."

Sara shook her head. "No, Princess Lana. I do not have anything else to say." She looked at Irisviel. "Do you have any questions?"

(So, uh... is this ever going to be revived?)

Irisviel looked at Lana, then stepped forward.

"If we succeed, can I treat you to dinner?" She asked. "Moreso as a thank you for...believing in me."

Lana was a bit... surprised by Irisviel's odd request. It wasn't out of the question, but she would have figured that if these three would ask for some sort of reward, it would be something bigger than just dinner. More personal requests weren't things she was used to... "If that is what you would like, then we shall do so once you complete your quest." She nodded calmly. She couldn't help but remember what an odd bunch she'd enlisted for this task... At least Sara and Irisviel seemed to be good at heart. She still wasn't entirely sure about Rou, however... "If that is all, then you two may leave. Thank you for helping our kingdom." She dismissed the remaining heroes.

Sara looked over at Irisviel. "Are you ready to go?" She asked her friend, smiling as she did so. She was excited to go out and journey to new places with her two partners. Even if Rou didn't seem to like her too much, she was sure that it wouldn't take too long for her to befriend him.
