Tails 6,692 Posted July 27, 2015 So I have a question about amiibos. Can a Japanese amiibo figure work on anEnglish Wii U and Wii Ugames? Been thinking about importing a few since they are so hard to get in stores and on Amazon. 1 Exilra reacted to this
Exilra 393 Posted July 27, 2015 Yes. They aren't region-locked. That's what I've heard anyway. Never tried it myself though.
HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted July 27, 2015 Yeah, they can. My friend collects them and imports them all the time, there's no region-lock. 1 Tails reacted to this
Shulk 8,623 Posted July 27, 2015 I've imported Shulk and Captain Falcon, and both work on my NA Wii U. Definitely can confirm that amiibo aren't region-locked. 1 Tails reacted to this
RoxasVen30 81 Posted July 27, 2015 I asked the same question, and yes, you can use it
Setrex 1,031 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) Amiibo aren't region-locked so import to your heart's content. I imported my Inkling Boy and he works fine on my PAL Wii U. Edited July 27, 2015 by KHSoraKeyBlade
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted July 27, 2015 I imported a Lucina from Japan and she works perfectly fine on our NA WiiU, so yeah, you're good.
