So I have a question about amiibos. Can a Japanese amiibo figure work on anEnglish Wii U and Wii Ugames? Been thinking about importing a few since they are so hard to get in stores and on Amazon.

Yes. They aren't region-locked. That's what I've heard anyway. Never tried it myself though.

I've imported Shulk and Captain Falcon, and both work on my NA Wii U. Definitely can confirm that amiibo aren't region-locked.

Amiibo aren't region-locked so import to your heart's content. I imported my Inkling Boy and he works fine on my PAL Wii U.

I imported a Lucina from Japan and she works perfectly fine on our NA WiiU, so yeah, you're good.
