I've been searching all over the internet and I can't seem to find a video editor that I can stick with.

Windows movie maker?

I've tried that one. It's just not good enough for me. I'll try to use to though. :)

if you want to get something higher quality than movie maker or imovie, you're gonna have to pay for it, or go Jack Sparrow on it

if you're looking for something affordable, the Adobe Creative Suite has you paying a small monthly fee, rather thna hundreds or thousands of dollars up front

Hatok is right, I personally use Sony Vegas which is not free - The Adobe series for video and audio editting are also very good if you're willing to invest a small amount.

I don't know of any video makers, but I do know how to make quality gifs with videos! Just go to "Make a Gif". It's this free gif maker that allows you to make up to 5 seconds long gifs and you can make as many as you want for no cost nor trial! But if you want to make longer gifs, you will have to make an account on there.

Enjoy! Sorry I couldn't help you find a free video editor site.

youtube's got a bare bones one that's free.

Trust me, all the good one's cost: i've checked. The only free ones are windows movie maker. WMM version 2 is a little better, though: it has minor cropping effects

really movie maker has all the key elements most people need. you only need something more if you're doing effects
