Studio Peirrot (Known to be the company behind animating many anime series including but not limited to episodes from the Naruto Shippuden series, Tokyo Ghoul, Kingdom, Legend of Korra, Tokyo Mew Mew, GTO and Bleach just name a few)

This discussion will center around the manga series called 'Bleach' By Kubo Tite (Kubo Noriaki) and its anime derivative.

For those who know the series will know that there are differences between the Anime and the Manga such as the inclusion of the Zanpakutou Rebellion arc as well as a few others. Other than that, you might know that the Anime series ended on a cliff hanger after 366 episodes. but the manga continues onto what is known a the final arc: The Thousand year old Blood war (Shinigami VS Quincies)

My question is will we potentially see an anime adaptation of the final arc?

  • Its hard to say because the Quincies are heavily reminiscent of the Nazis and their totalitarian way to doing things (not to mention the themes they employ are very reminiscent such as the invasion of 'Soul Society' and the indifferent slaughtering of countless Shinigami). This could potentially be a reason why it was not given an anime adaptation to avoid racial discrimination and racial conflict in the real world.
  • the other reason might be that they didn't have enough source material at the time the anime ended and so both Studio Peirrot and Kubo Tite may have both been against having filler episodes up until the manga can become adequate source material. Keep in mind that Studio Peirrot is kept very busy animating for other cartoons, movies, animes and video games.
  • The final reason might be that the side-anime arcs may have screwed up the story enough that a final Arc can't be added to the anime series.

Either way I'm hoping they'll pull a 'Bleach Kanketsu-hen' like what another animating studio did with the InuYasha series.

What do people think??

I second this, as the 1000 Year Blood War arc is so far my favorite in the series.

Oh heaven almighty, I truly do hope that the final arc gets made into an anime!  It's just like you mentioned, Catmaster, the same thing was done with Inuyasha, and was met with great success!!!  I'm hoping we get Bleach's final arc adapted into anime form, and soon! D:

What if they ended up making it into a multipart Anime movies? Like what they did with the Evagelion reboot xD

Bleach as an anime is mediocre at best. The concept is great but the execution is extremely lacking. The early episodes have fairly poor animation, and I didn't feel that the anime was even remotely good until around episode 270, but at that point it was still only a /decent/ anime.
