Will Hunter x Hunter 2011 anime continue?

Posted

I just finished the show and it was an absolute masterpiece, despite a few slow parts. I can't seem to find a reliable source of information on whether the anime will continue or not, I know there is a new part in the manga called 'Dark Continent' so will this ever be adapted? Do you guys have any suggestions on what year or how long until this new arc will come out?

Now since there are no fillers in the show there is only a small gap between the manga and anime. Once the manga gets onto the next story arc will they adapt the 'Dark Continent' arc into an anime, so the manga can be ahead of the anime by a good amount?

I still wanna know what happened to Chrollo and also this 'New World'.

The problem is that the manga is on hiatus and their isn't really enough stuff in the Dark Continent arc yet to make starting production of the anime back up worth it. Should the manga get back on track, then I have no doubt the anime will come back as well.

The ending of ep148 seemed like a series finale with all the scenes showing the different characters fates. But when Ging spoke about a new world it seemed like it was setting up for a new instalment

Sorry but togashi is either always sick or lazy as hell, so hxh manga is always on hiatus. Until the manga is up and running again the anime is done for. But yeah it was a masterpiece

Yeah the next arc (which only has 10 chapters so far)is about exploring that new world. It stars Leorio, Kurapika and Ging but Gon and Killua aren't in it. Well Gon has a chapter showing him going home but that's it. He and Killua are done for a while.

Anyway Togashi, the writer, is infamous in the manga community for his laziness. He sometimes releases only 3 chapters in a year and sometimes they're not even properly inked they're just sketches. So it will take him years until he's written enough for any more to be adapted. That's assuming he hasn't abandoned the manga altogether as rumours suggest.

If he does then many years from now there will be some OVAs to cover the new material. I don't see them remaking the series a 3rd time.

LEORIO AND KURAPIKA IN THEIR OWN ARC OMG xD

I don't mind waiting, if the show was cancelled I'd be disappointed but if the writer wants to take his time that's alright with me. It'll be gold when it comes out, I'm sure of it.
