Disclaimer: I know a lot of you are probably thinking to yourselves; "Wow, this guy is getting annoying, most of the posts I've seen from him are about his channel or content", but take into account that I spend every day doing this and release videos twice a day :P

Anyway, I'd love as many people to share this fun experience with me as possible, any tips on how to grow my channel with REAL people who subscribe to me because they like my content?

I know I only just started a few days ago, but I have made around 8-9 videos since then, and it's a LOT of work, especially with my slow laptop xDThis is it in case anyone's interested: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsoZyun9X0Lae-5P9ZVyM8A

I'm not a youtuber or anything but I personally like watching people who put lots of heart and effort into their videos. Most of the people I follow post a video every week or two (with the expection of a few) so amount of content doesn't exactly turn me off or anything I guess.

I think what I'm trying to say is that just make content that you enjoy producing and put yourself into it because it really does show. I really enjoyed your first video and I actually subscribed. It was fun and entertaining!

Idea brainstorming isn't really my strong point but maybe other random topics might work? It depends on what kind of channel do you really want to be seen as...

Oh... I'm rambling again ._.

In no particular order

1. Ask yourself what you would like to see yourself.

2. Be consistent. Upload on a schedule so your subscribers know when to expect a new video.

3. Watch other channels and learn from them. After all people learn from what they see. Don't copy everything they do though and try to be original.

4. Make quality content. No one likes to watch amateurs.

5. Good thumbnails are a great way to get people to click on your video.

These are just random ideas that popped in my head. I'm not a youtuber or anything but I hope this helps.

You did amazing! Really good tips and I'm surprised these are just things that popped into your head.

I know a thing or two, but I wouldn't say I'm even near being an expert, but here's some more to add to that.

  • Titles - On top of the thumbnail, craft a title that is just as alluring/enticing.

Ex: Instead of 'Kingdom Hearts: UNCUT', 'Kingdom Hearts Funny Moments' or 'Kingdom Hearts Funny Montage'

Another Ex (not related to your channel): Instead of 'A Disney Summary', 'Everything You Need To Know About Disney!'

Make titles that you want to click on. An argument could pop up that you're crafting clickbait titles, but AS LONG as your content is worthwhile, worth seeing, the clickbait title is justified. Obviously, don't craft a title that has nothing to do with your video. The YouTube algorithm and community will destroy you.

  • Description - Make sure the first lines of your description accurately represent what your video is about. It doesn't seem like much, but it helps YouTube rank you in searches faster. Keywords you missed in titles can be accounted for in the description.
  • Subtitles - Same thing as description in terms of discoverability, but even more detailed. If you use a script, it's very much recommended to add subtitles to your content.
  • Have a Message - Many YouTubers tend to skip this, but it's very important in creating a community of loyal subscribers. What do you stand for? Why are you making your videos? Is this present in most if not all of your videos? People like Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and PewDiePie have a huge following not only because they are entertaining, but because they do work for charity, they treat their subscribers like real people, and it's transparent through their content.
  • Direction - Pick certain content and narrow it down for a very niche target audience. It may seem like you're losing out on subscribers, but it will help in the long run. It'll define your content clearly and succinctly.
  • Cards and Annotations - Always link back to your other videos or playlists when you have the chance. If you go to Video Manager and click on Edit on a specific video, there are options to add cards (the new better annotations) and annotations. Use these to link.
  • Branding - This sounds all business-y and shit, but it works. Basically, whatever you do, whatever you stand for, make sure it's clear for any new person on all parts of your channel; your video, channel banner, channel icon, about page, descriptions, everything! Make sure no matter where the viewer goes to in your channel they know what you're about and why they should subscribe. The why should relate to your message. It's not only important for someone to subscribe or watch, but they have to know why to do it!

Defiantly use the tips that Youtube itself supplies. And don't forget to explore lot of aspects in the Youtube/Kingdom Hearts community. Use fanart/fanmade music. Collaborate with people who do something similar to you. Offer your help to new and struggling channels. You get the picture.

Thank you guys for all the suggestions! If I multiquoted them I'd probably be repeating myself a few times but I have taken everything said into account :)I definitely put the videos I make over the number I make from them, as my main priority for the channel is to have fun, and to entertain, and to be honest, the reason that I put 3-4 out a week is because I genuinely love doing it and I guess I just can't stop myself xDHaving a low amount of subscribers doesn't discourage me *too* much, because like I said, I have a lot of fun just making videos, but it is a little off-putting because videos are made for people to watch them, and the more people who do watch them feels like the purpose of putting the video on the site in the first place is being metThese are some great tips, thank you guys, and I'm gonna look over them whenever I can to make 'em stick with me :)

In order to start growing as a channel, I advise that first off you should put as much effort as possible into your videos, cause that way they are more memorable and impressive, leaving a lasting impression on people. Then spread it to some of your friends, however be sure not to just do it all the time or make friends purely for the purpose of spreading your content cause that is a mistake a lot of people do but don't realize. Also remember to give your channel time, it takes a while for your channel to grow and be successful, even with a lot of friends with you. If you keep at it you're sure to grow and make a fantastic community! Speaking of which, try to involve the audience with different things, such as maybe fan art, discussion topics, or maybe even try a stream on Twitch and link the two channels. Have a good idea of what you want to do with your channel, and it's good to try to bring diversity and individuality to the channel. Most importantly, just remember to have fun with it and enjoy what you do! Not only will it be more fun that way but people really do like to see someone who is happy with what they are doing and is invested into making their channel as good and fun as possible. :) This is what I think anyway, but I that there's definitely some solid tips here, but that may just be my "Humble" opinion :P. Good luck with the channel man, and I hope you have a fantastic day! :D
