'Everyone just starts gasping at me when I call a guy 'a guy' or people 'people!'

Can you provide context for what this line is? It's...intriguing, to say the least.

I think it means that the village is full of morons.

In the episode, Sonic calls some random background character named Mike as 'just a guy', and the people in the village diss Sonic, thinking he's acting like the most important and high class person there. They think he's insensitive and stuff, so Amy holds a weird 'Sensitivity Seminar', to ease the blue hedgehog's 'attitude'. Sonic apologizes to Mike, invites him to a battle with Eggman, Mike gets hurt in the process, and Sonic helps him out. However, the villagers diss him again, questioning why he's just helping 'a guy'. Sonic calls the villager's 'you people', and they get offended again. Then, Amy holds another seminar where Sonic finally breaks, and quits.

So, yeah.

Yeah. Pretty much.

Had this been the regular timeline, Sonic probably would've went Super.
