I really want to get a PS4 for my birthday next month so I can play Persona 5, Disgaea 5, KH3, and other games but I'm worried that during the PlayStation Experience in December they'll announce a new model for the PS4 or a higher memory storage. It's a hard choice for me.

I'd wait and just use birthday money to save up, just in case.

Wait. Then you won't have to spend as much money.

I'm kinda in the same situation as you but I'm going to wait and bid my time. Might as well since they could potentially be cheaper later on.

If you can wait to play certain games and are patient enough then maybe waiting is the best option?

I look at it as that's always going to be the case. There's always going to be an upgraded model or a special edition or whatever. When it comes down to it, if there's games you want to play, get the system. If you think you can wait, then that's cool too.

might as well wait. you're gonna feel worse after buying a console and then seeing a new model released, as opposed to waiting and seeing nothing new released.

or trade in the PS4 if a new model does come out

I just waited for a model I could preorder. I'm not always the best at saving up (especially with all these amazing Fall/Holiday releases), so I needed something that i could put money into over time.
