Regular New Nintendo 3DS Coming To US Sept 25th

Posted

At the GameStop Managers Conference in Las Vegas, Nintendo announced that the New Nintendo 3DS system will launch in the U.S. as part of a special bundle on Sept. 25. The bundle includes the new hand-held system, the upcoming Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer game, two cover plates and one amiibo card at a suggested retail price of $219.99. The more compact New Nintendo 3DS system joins New Nintendo 3DS XL, which has been available since Feb. 13.

In addition, a Hyrule Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL system will launch exclusively in GameStop stores on Oct. 30 at a suggested retail price of $199.99, just in time for the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes(sold separately) on Oct. 23.

Why should we need the Regular New 3DS again?

Because it's been in demand by a lot of people who don't like the DS/3DS XL's?

But there are a lot of people out there who prefer the regular size 3DS's than the XL versions.

Well, should have seen this coming, I guess. I'm used to the XL and can't turn back now, but those faceplates looked nice...

Faceplates. As much as I like the XL now, I really wish I could get those nice looking faceplates.

It'll take some truly special faceplates to get my monado ones off my n3DS that's for sure.

Those are the exact ones that always come to mind when I think about faceplates... I'm just waiting for someone to make and sell decent New 3DS XL skins with Xenoblade art. I've seen a couple, but they both had issues that make me unsure as to whether or not I'd actually want to buy them.

I already have a New 3DS XL, so I won't buy another variation of it, but a Xenoblade Faceplate sounds cool. :) I know this sounds crazy, but a Greninja one would look pretty awesome on mine. I can see it now... :) What a wonderful world it would be...

Been praying for the white N3DS to come over for months, but I don't care much for the AC amiibo game. I hope they end up releasing the system afterward standalone.

Lol they are bundling it with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer which is a new AC 3DS game. Not Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival :P
