The day was bright and sunny in the nice little village of Tengoku as a young dog by the name of Dog Ninja was currently checking his coins for the day. He just finished slicing the rest of the veggies for the local farmer and finally he was all done. He happily sat down right on a log in a small field and counted up his earnings.

"Ten... Eleven..." He stopped at twelve. Lovely. Twelve. That'll only get him a small dog biscuit from the store.

"I can't buy any kunais yet..." He said with a small frown. Even if he was able to buy them, Dog wouldn't even need to use them. Sadly due to the peace in the village, there was no need for protectors no more.

Dave scanned the village, no matter how many times he wanted something to happen, he was met with disappointment and boringness, he remembered fondly the days of the war, where there was at least something to do! this entire town was so peaceful, that it was a bit unsettling. Dave looked over at a small field, noticing Dog Ninja, no matter how much time passes, he would always have a bit of grudge, his ancestors made the witch go away and slain many of his brethren, why for? There were doing it for a noble cause... right? Whatever it was for, he turned away and muttered nonsense on how they should't have interrupted.

"Zzzz.....Houba...." Snoring in her nest in a nearby tree, Mia was having a peaceful slumber, all curled in her tail, snuggled by a white blanket, and laying her head on the soft surface of her nest. Sunlight then caught her eye, causing her to squint them. But it was no use. Her little eyes that were once closed soon began to open slightly. She yawned and stretched her arms and legs and even her tail, with it going straight out. "Ahhh...Houba!" She exclaimed to herself. "Ah, what a lovely morning!" Mia's eyes were fully open and her mouth was full of smile. She sat up and gently grabbed the four-petal flower on her head. Mia brought to her face and smelled it. She couldn't resist the sweet scent of her flower. She took a deep happy sigh. "Houba! Such sweet aroma! I feel refreshed! I feel invigorated! I feel..." She soon found herself in mid-air. Mia had been in such a enjoyed trance, she hadn't noticed she had danced around her nest! "...Like I'm going to fall!" Mia then was falling due to gravity, but she stopped. Her tail was wrapped around the branch. "Oh thank goodness! Phew!" Her arm wiped off the nervous sweat on her forehead. But she hit the ground when her tail decided to let go. "Oof! Oh well..." Mia then stood up and brushed herself off, with the help of her tail as well, mostly brushing off her shoulders. Mia then noticed Dog Ninja, looking down. She hid behind her tree, poking her head out to watch him. "Is that really another ninja? Houba! I rarely see any other ones now these days!" She said to herself.

Dave suddenly turned his head to the side, there was a thump sound and saw, a...person? Animal? Thing? Whatever it was, it piqued his interest, and began the rather slow trek towards the creature, while still murmuring  nonsense under his breath. As he reached the thing, which in his opinion, looked really monkey-like, he overheard the comment, oh no, was she another done of those warrior guys?! Whatever, he just walked all the way there and he couldn't just do it for nothing, right? "Are you.. Alright?" He asked, his usually monotone voice tinged with a bit of worry and curiosity, and poked her in the shoulder. This was certainly new. Unsettlingly new. But he kept his guard up if it was dangerous or tried to attack him.

"EEEP!!" Mia instantly jumped and wrapped around the branch that held her nest, with her long tail wrapped around it as well. She was startled by Dave's appearance for she hadn't noticed him. Her fur spiked up a little when she screamed. Mia, still wrapped around the branched and shaking, looked down. She saw...A human. A human frightened her. Mia happened to really like humans more than animals. It was kind of funny to her when she was scared by something she really liked. She stopped shaking.

"D-Don't do that! Don't creep up on me like that! I was really scared! You almost gave me a heart attack!" She exaggerated.

Dave also jolted away from Mia, surprised too, and almost let out hiss, that could have blown his cover! You're a human, you're a human, so act like it! He covered his mouth and said "Agh, sorry!" and calmed down, and looked at the creature, "What... are you?" he murmured, blinking at Mia, surprised, what were heart attacks and could you eat them? "I mean, are you alright?" He reached out to touch her again, but jumped away at the last second, maybe she had healing powers, argh, or maybe she was poisonous, which was considerably better but with a bit of wariness, he just stared at her, almost unblinking. Whatever she was, she better not attack him. And if she did, well she can't be prepared for a horde right? No, bad Dave, Bad! Think like humans do!

Mia blinked at this person. She soon sat up, sitting on the branch. Her tail unwrapped itself from the branch and went to Mia's head, wrapping the tip of it around the stem of the flower that was in her hair. It brought the flower to Mia's nose to sniff, which she did and calmed down and sighed. "Houba..." She sighed to herself. She looked back at the human who jump-scared her. "It's alright. You didn't mean to do it anyway." The flower was put back in her hair by the tail. Mia quickly jumped up, got on all fours, and ran down the tree! She made a on point stop right next to the tree. Mia's mouth was full of smile. "I am a Marsupilami! People say I'm like this "rare" species or something that they don't see often." She said energetically. Her tail coiled up as spring meanwhile. Mia made a short jump and used her coiled up tail as a seat. "Sorry for the reaction. Let's rewind. My name is MarsupliMia! But you can call me Mia for short!" She said happily. If there was one thing Mia loved to do, it was to meet new people. Strangers are just friends or if so, foes you haven't met yet! "Sooooooooo...What's your name?" She asked with her legs crossed.

Oh, a rare species, while he took a little while to react, "Sorry, my name is Pl- Dave! Dave, that's my name." Curse him being this dense, argh, this human body was just so boring, blunt nails and teeth, no horns, and it just felt so weird all this smoothness on his skin, although he has practically put up with it all this years, he was still incredibly uncomfortable under this charm. "So, Mia, are you poisonous, you don't heal?" He said a bit wary, might as well know the enemy, no? It could have valuable information, but grimaced at the though, in a few eons, he scowled, that if the witch did escape, he was probably going to die of boringness! Just don't arouse suspicion, you really don't want an entire village hot on your heels, it would be even worse because in his opinion he was the only demon in the entire freaking town!

Mia tilted her head at the question with a confused expression. Was she poisonous? Could she heal? She didn't fully understand. Mia shrugged at the question. "Um, I don't know. Don't think so, I guess. I haven't really thought about it...Whatever it means." She then bounced and landed on her feet in front of Dave. "Houba!" She yelled right before jumping. "But I think we can be great friends, right?" She said smiling.

"Al..right? I guess, just, just don't touch me if you happen to be poisonous, I had a few run ins with various of them, and boy, they were not pretty." He shuddered, although that wasn't entirely true, however he did encounter various healing creatures, all of them caused more harm than good, he could still remember the burning sensation when they tried to heal him. He quickly regained his composture and said "Who's that guy on the log?" Trying to play dumb, he pointed over to Dog Ninja, "Do you know him?" He said monotone, almost uninterested. He slowly blinked and said "Well? Do you know him or not?" Interest piqued,

Mia looked over to who Dave was pointing at. "Him? Hmmmm......." She tapped her foot and closed her eyes to see if she remembered anything that was similar to that person. She soon opened her eyes, looked at Dave and shook her head no. "Nope. I've never seen or met him before...But I know he's a ninja for sure! Just look at his clothes!" She said. Mia took a closer like at him. What she knew about him so far? He's a dog. He's a ninja. He's sitting on a log. And...He looks down. A bit sad to be exact. Mia just felt this urge to meet this guy to make him feel better! Maybe she could cheer him up. Only one way to find out! "I'll be right back Dave! I'm going to talk to that guy. He seems kinda lonely." Mia moved to the front side of the tree and pressed her coiled tail against it. She moved back, pressing her tail, about to make one of her most fabulous entrances. "Launching in 3...2....1..." With Mia sounding the count down in her playful little way, she lifted up her feet and then....

Boing!

She bounced away, going high into the air! "HOUBA!!" She yelled out with a happy tone. She was soon coming down and landed on her tail, still in spring form, right behind Dog Ninja. "Houba!" She said, trying to say hello. But right after, she was bounced into the air once again. This time, she moved a little and landed on her feet in front of Dog Ninja. Her face was just bursting with enjoyment. She made a short jump in the air from her feet this time, showing that she was so happy about her air time. Her tail was back being long, straight, and kind of wavy. Like tails should be...But Mia's isn't. Not all the time. "Houba! That was so much fun! Hee hee!" She said, obviously enjoying herself.

Lalya was working her shift in the flower shop. At the moment she was watering the flowers in the back. She also humming randomly while doing so. She thought that sing could make the flowers happy and she liked to make others happy even flowers. She finished watering everything and went to check the store's stock. She smiled happily at the list.

"Hi! My name is Mia and-" Mia suddenly paused in her introduction to Dog Ninja. She sniffed the air. She was beginning to smell something sweet. A very sweet scent. "Oh Houba! Whatever I smell, it must be wonderful!" She closed her eyes and began to follow the scent on all fours. She couldn't see it, but Mia was walking to the flower shop. Her tail was up in the air, waving back and forth. Mia sniffed and sniffed until she opened her eyes to see..."Oh flowers! Lots and lots of sweet, sweet flowers!" She exclaimed. Mia didn't know it, but she had gone to the back of the flower shop! She quickly stood on her feet and stood on her tippy toes to smell the sweetest flowers. "Houba." She smelled the set of flowers on the other side. "Houba." She then climbed up to smell the top set of flowers. "Houba!" Mia just couldn't help herself. She just loved smelling flowers! "Houba, Houba, Houba! Such lovely smelling flowers! I oughta take one of you home to decorate!" Mia jumped down and her tail wrapped around a set of flowers and brought it to Mia, who smelled them of course. "Oh Houba!"

Dog Ninja wasn't really paying attention to the nearby noises. He was more focused on counting his earnings for the day. Suddenly, a rumble. Poor Dog Ninja was hungry. With a soft sigh he reached into his satchel for a rice ball. Maybe that'll get his spirits up.

"Not as great as a bowl of noodles, but I'll take it!" He opened his mouth and was about to eat the delicious rice ball, before Mia jumped in out of nowhere. With a small jump the rice ball flew out of Dog Ninja's hand and onto the ground.

"My rice ball!" He was about to talk to Mia, but she was already gone. "Hey!" He looked down at the rice ball and frowned. There goes his lunch. Dog Ninja noticed Dave nearby and decided to approach him.

"She sure can jump high..." Dog Ninja said while rubbing be back of his head. "Is she with you?"

Lalya was startled by the sound.  She dropped the list and ran to the back quickly. Her eyes widened as she saw a strange thing. She knew there were never rare creatures however so she didn't scream or anything of the liked. She just stared. Her smile lit up the room. "Oh Hello."She greeted the creature lightly. She wanted to be nice because it was just smelling the flowers.

From his tea shop, the Scholar looked out at the village as he sipped some of his own tea. It looked like another beautiful day, and currently no sign of pineapple anywhere. After a sigh, he switched his gaze to the majong titles that were currently confounding him. But, as he learned long ago, if he remained patent, a solution would represent itself.

Mia then stopped smelling the flowers and looked at Layla. She was a human! Mia loves humans! She immidiatley smiled. "Houba! Hello! Aren't these just lovely, lovely flowers? They are beautiful!" She couldn't help but smell them once more. Mia was really enjoying herself. She even twirled due to the sweet scent of the flowers. "Houba Houba! Such sweet scented flowers! Hee Hee Hee Hee!"

Dave turned to Dog Ninja, and murmured "No, I just found her in the tree over there." And pointed at the tree with Mia's nest, he continued "I guess she got spooked by you or sumthing." Dave gave a toothy smile, clearly showing gums, oh how he wanted to simply just get out of the glamour and just attack him when his guard is down. Dave's eye slightly twitched, and said with a faux monotone tone, "Would you like to go look for her? I don't think she's too far off." He then dropped his smile and turned around, and said "Well? Are you going or not?"

Lalya tilted her head. "Huba?" She asked confused. She had no clue what "Huba" was but it sounded very cute to the female. He held a hand out to the other."I'm Lalya and I'm 1/4th demon." She told her 'girl'. At least she guessed anything that liked flowers that much must be a girl. Well it seemed reasonable anyway,at least from a common sense stand point.

Mia's tail went up and put the flowers back on the top shelf and unwrapped itself from it. It then coiled up, allowing Mia to use it as a bouncy seat. She then bounced over to Layla and shook her hand. "My name is Mia and I am a Marsupilami! M-A-R-S-U-Pi-La-Me! Houba!" She said happily. "I just love meeting new people! Especially humans! I think this is the start of a sweet scented friendship! Hee Hee!" Mia couldn't help but giggle. She made a new friend! Maybe even a best friend!

Dog Ninja rubbed the back of his head. Did he want to go look for her? Frankly... No. The poor dog just wanted to get something to eat now that his rice ball was ruined.

"Well..." He began as his stomach growled. "I am pretty hungry. I'm gonna go to The Scholar's tea shop and get some lunch from there. You can come with me if you want! His tea is the best ever. He's a monk too."

Lalya smiled. "Sure we can be friends and take the flowers to since you seem to like flowers." She grinned at Mai. "What a cute name!" She added. She liked the name Mai it was fun to say. Or was it Mia? She mixed up names a lot. Even she found it rather annoying at times. She hugged the other girl. "Where do you live?" She asked with a large grin.

"Houba!" Mia hugged Lalya back, happy as ever. She then bounced back to the shelves to pick a set of flowers. It didn't take her long as she had already made her decision. Mia, of course still using her tail, bounced up and grabbed the first set of flowers on the top shelf. "These are my favorite!" She said with a chuckle. Mia then bounced back to Lalya, smiling and happy as ever. "I live in a nest up on a tree! That's my home sweet home! Is this your home?" Mia asked holding the flowers.

Dave shrugged, "Whatever floats your boat, I could go for a bite or two, or nine." and his stomach rumbled, since he really didn't ate anything for breakfast, preferring to just go outside, he agreed, "Where's that tea shop again? I keep forgetting."  He said to Dog Ninja, scratching his head in confusion. Well, for now he seemed nice, although he should keep a close eye on him and not let his guard down at any moment.

Dog Ninja chuckled as Dave agreed to get some lunch. Oh well, at least he wasn't going to spend lunch alone now. Then again, he always just chatted with The Scholar. But now, he had yet another person to have some company with.

"I'll take you there. It's not too far from here." Dog Ninja said. "And my name is Dog Ninja! Pleased to meet you."

Dog Ninja led Dave all the way to The Scholar's tea shop, which was about a five minute walk from where they were. Dog Ninja walked right in with a smile.

"Hey Scholar!" Dog Ninja greeted the platypus. "I'm excited to taste your awesome green tea again."

Dave suddenly sneezed when entering the shop, the scents were far too intense for his liking, really, and too clean and fresh. However,  he steeled his nose and waved to the The Scholar, although a bit stiff and shady looking, and sneezed again, he hopes this guy did not have any sort of healing tea, and seriously doubt he had poison. "This place sure is... herb-y." He murmured, not really knowing what to say to break the ice.
