Posted October 4, 201510 yr I haven't played Ni no Kuni yet and I've heard that the game plays like kingdom hearts. Do you think I will like it if I blind let's play it. Keep in mind that I like games that play like kingdom hearts.
October 4, 201510 yr It's not like Kingdom Hearts. It is a mix between a pure role playing game and an active one (Like FF XIII or Rogue Galaxy)

October 4, 201510 yr I was so looking forward to playing the game. I got a closer idea you could try to do! Have you ever heard of Digimon World 4? It's an Action Roleplaying game on the PS2, GCN, and Xbox! You play as one of four starting characters, then you fight through many zones and you get different weapons and items that have different attacks, such as swords, guns, and Axes. You can reach levels with ALL characters to above level 200! How about that? There are long loading screens at times, but you'll probably get used to them as you play it. Want me to explain more? :)Rock on!

October 4, 201510 yr i wouldn't suggest doing a blind LP of any JRPG. it could result in wasted time for the viewer. if you did it on a second playthrough then you'd at least have an idea of what's up ahead and how to go about managed skills and items and weapons etc etc. you do you, though
October 4, 201510 yr yesMan, I thought that you were~ SAY WHAT?! You do?!You will not regret it. :)Alright, so now then, in Digimon World 4, the Story is pretty simple and easy to understand with a bright mind. The game supports multiplayer of up to 4 players, which you probably won't bother with. But the way you gain weapons is by opening crates and defeating enemies. The tougher the enemy, the better chance of a better weapon. Each character has unique moves called "Skills" which you use MP to use. Some examples would be Ice, Flame, Bolt, etc. There is also equipment that, you guessed it, improve your stats. Some power up physical attack while compensating this boost with a drawback on Elemental attack. The rest can be explained in-game. :)Sadly I haven't played it myself, but I heard it was good and watched a 4-player let's Play of it for a bit while not spoiling anything for me. The way they played it was amazing, and it looked exciting! I know you'll find it fun once you figure out its mechanics and such. I am hoping to get the game for Christmas or sometime soon. It may be an older game, but I know it will be a blast! :DI deeply reccomend it! Rock on!
October 4, 201510 yr I personally couldn't get into it. The art style is amazing, and the story seems good, but the combat and traversal were soooooo slow. I would have preferred turn based, honestly.
October 4, 201510 yr It's an amazing game. I'd say the tone is a lot like Kingdom Hearts but the gameplay is like a mix between the Tales series and Dragon Quest. Still a great game, do it I'm surprised it's not as big as it should be. Basically if you like studio ghibli films you'll love Ni No Kuni. While no SG characters appear, they did work on the game. Totoro sort of appears as the monster called Tokotoko; they share a similar design style.
October 5, 201510 yr If you are going to play Digimon World 4 (great game as mentioned above), beware insane loading times. O_OAnd Ni No Kuni is great. I haven't finished it yet, but I have really enjoyed what I've seen thus far. And, I don't want to spoil much, but you will get something later in the game that makes traversing the world map less painful. Plus there's fast travel.
