Posted

DotEmu, the studio behind the PC/Steam versions of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII along with the PS4 port of Final Fantasy VII would like to port Final Fantasy VIII to PS4. However, they also have sad news, there are no plans to patch the PC/Steam version of Final Fantasy VIII's music.

What's wrong with the music?

It's using the MIDI format music from the original PC release. The PlayStation music is of much higher quality and was patched for VII's PC version.

Sucks for PC users. But I would definitely welcome a PS4 port.
