From the looks of things it will take around Guts as his travels as the Black Swordsman, i've wrote some info on it.

Promotion for new Black Swordsman Guts launches December 25th

Berserk home magazine Young Animal is about to announce a slate of news about plans for Kentaro Miura's medieval horror/action series. Promotion at the Kokusai-Tenjijō Station railway station on December 25th will lead into a new teaser movie presented at NBC Universal's Comiket 89, December 29-31. That promo will be offering a first look at a new Black Swordsman Guts anime adaptation project.

Along with this, the earlier TV anime will be released in a new special priced Blu-ray set on April 20th, 2016.

Synopsis
Guts, known as the Black Swordsman, seeks sanctuary from the demonic forces that pursue him and his woman, and also vengeance against the man who branded him as an unholy sacrifice. Aided only by his titanic strength, skill, and sword, Guts must struggle against his bleak destiny, all the while fighting with a rage that might strip him of his humanity. Berserk is a dark and brooding story of outrageous swordplay and ominous fate, in the theme of Shakespeare's Macbeth.

My brother is never gonna let me watch any new anime like this ever again, is he? Dark and Brooding story isn't exactly what he wants me watching. :P I'm sure this anime will be good, but if it's TOO dark, or is extremely inappropriate, my brother won't approve of me watching it. :(

But, if it's not that form of a "Dark Story", he might just let me watch it. Cuz I mean come on, who doesn't like swords, am I right? xD

Rock on!

What about the reboot movies? I thought those were still going. Or is this a different thing altogether?

Well I mean he finally got off that boat...

Well if you dont know what happened in the golden age arc, then yeah it might not be for you. Its not only violent but has nudity and some very graphic scences because of it.

I see. I don't follow Berserk but I was just wondering because I thought the movies were supposed to be the only substitute for adapting the manga into anime form.

Yeah, Berserk is one of the most adult anime you will ever see. There's a lot of firetucked-up stuff in that series.

Movies covered the golden age arc only, the anime will go off from that. Think of the golden age as the introduction to the whole story

Okay then.
