Snow came early in upstate New York. It was only just a week and a few days before Christmas and already it was obviously that it was going to be a white one. Some patients at the Coldridge Asylum were happy for the snow. Some weren't. Rosalina Sansora or ‘Rosa’ to most people was actually a tiny bit happy for the snow. Happy was a strange word, for due to the severe anxiety Rosa suffered it was very hard for her to truly enjoy anything. No matter how good of a time she was having she could never truly be happy. Rosa could be in Disneyland and in the back of her mind there was something worrying her. Something bringing her down like a dark rain cloud over her head. This anxiety was a ball on a chain for her. Rosa saw the cup as half empty- and also thought that somehow she was going to suffer from dehydration or something because it was half empty. Such troubling irrelevant thoughts plagued her mind. She didn't want to be that way. Often she was called ‘whiny’ or ‘overdramatic’ for being that way. For worrying and stressing and suffering over things that really wasn't a big deal. Sadly she also stressed about being called such things too. Such things tormented her mind; ‘Am I really overdramatic? I'm such a horrible person for being overdramatic when things could be way worse and people are going to hate me because of it and I will have no friends and I will end up dying alone while people are happy that I'm gone and laugh at my funeral and then I won't ever have a happy afterlife because of it-’ and it would go on and on. Rosa didn't understand why she was that way- she just was.

It was early in the morning when Rosa woke. About ten o'clock in the morning. She opened her eyes and looked around the room for a quick second. Her stuffed animal (which today happened to be one of her many cats and was named Cali) was clutched closely to her chest. As always, Rosa had slept in fetal position as well. It was rather cold that morning due to the heaters not being turned up all the way, and due to the vicious cold of upstate. With her long old-fashioned pajama gown, hospital socks and slippers, Rosa slowly slid out of bed with her cat in tow and walked over to her roommate- Krystal’s bed to gently shake her awake. Rosa made sure to be very quiet; she didn't like it when anyone else knew she was awake until she actually left the room.

“Krys…” Rosa said softly, gently tugging on her roommate’s shirt. “Krys…”

Rosa followed closely along with Krystal as if Rosa was a little puppy. She often followed others as she felt safe and content with those she followed. Obviously it was only Krystal she'd follow, or maybe even Aisling, Lily or Shade when Krystal wasn't nearby. It wasn't a huge matter, especially since she always did things on her own when she absolutely had to. But still, she preferred company. It was nice to just follow someone and go with the flow especially since she was free to keep her head in the clouds as she always did.

Rosa looked down at Krys' 'masterpiece' and couldn't help but smile. The pancakes were cute! Then Krys offered get the pancakes, and she accepted them as she never wanted to appear rude to her friend.

"O-Okay, thank you!" She said with her same smile as she have Krys a small hug before sitting down in front of the pancakes. She decided to wait for Krys to sit down with her food before she ate. Rosa couldn't help but look around nervously at all the two boys. They were sitting far away from them. Why? Was something wrong? She appeared to be a tiny bit nervous. When she glanced at Abbadon, her cheeks darkened and she looked away to her pancakes fearfully.

Meanwhile, Kraus decided to let everyone eat their food in peace. In the meantime he decided to go knock on Aisling's door as he gently opened it, and looked down at her with a small smile.

"It sounds like someone doesn't want to sleep. May I come in and sit with you?"

(*rises from the grave*)

"You know I don't sleep Kraus." Aisling snapped as soon as the doctor entered the room.

She refused to call him Doctor.

"What is it though?" Aisling asked, brushing the hair out of her face.

If Kraus wanted her to eat breakfast, she usually tried to skip it. She hates the idea of breakfast itself. It's so warm and like home.

Aisling was never going to get out of this place. At least she got a warm bed and some food sometimes though.

Lily hopped in.

"ROSA!" She held out an adorable plushie of Yoshika Miyafuji. "Look look look! It's adorable! It's like your kitty!"

Shade took her shower quickly making sure to scrub all of the body. She then washed her hair. While doing this she heard her tummy growl. "Oh dang." She thought. She began the process of shampooing and conditioning her hair. After five minutes had passed she was done with both. She stepped out and dried off. After drying off she put her clothes on.

Rosa's hug left a slight smile on Krys's lips, helping her melancholy mood some.  That was, however, until she heard Abaddon making a fuss about sparing everyone's lives, which just got on her nerves.  While she understood the guy was experiencing serious issues she couldn't help viewing him as a brat.  Her body grew rigid as she stole a glare over her shoulder at Abaddon, who sat as though he were the prince of all he could see.

Finally she went over to Rosa's table, placed her own plate of breakfast down before barely meeting her young friend's gaze.  "I'm coming right back after I talk to His Highness over there," she murmured under her breath.  Without awaiting a response she bravely made her way to Abaddon's table, where he sat eating all by his lonesome.  Krys smacked her palms on the corner of his table, her bright eyes turning up to meet his sharply.  "Whether you are a prince or a loser, you don't go around threatening people's lives!  That's not how it works!  That's just cruel, and if you ever want to have any friends I'd suggest you stop acting like a royal jerk and scaring everyone."

A bold move, and perhaps a dangerous one, but sometimes Krys really didn't know when to stop.  She was sick of Rosa being afraid of Abaddon and was sick of his games.  It drove her crazy that he received the "royal treatment" just because he was deluded, and if no one else would put a stop to it, well, she decided that she'd have to.

Kraus sighed softly. Aisling sounded aggravated, which was to be expected. With a small smile, Kraus entered the room and sat on the bed next to her.

"Now you know what I wish for you to do..." Kraus began. "You need your sleep. And I understand that you don't want to, but if you want to feel happy and better you have to trust me and do what I tell you. I won't make you sleep right now... But I make you a deal. Everyone is eating breakfast right now, so why don't you go and join them? All I'm asking is for you to at least eat a single slice of toast. After that you can stay up all you'd like and play with everyone okay? Krystal is going to show a new patient around the grounds, and play in the snow later so you're welcome to join them as long as you eat something for breakfast. And tonight, I just want you to promise me you'll sleep for at least and hour okay? Could you do that for me?"

Meanwhile, Rosa was just about to eat her wonderful meal... But then Krystal had gotten up to go confront the 'Prince.' She looked very nervous, and was about to go with her until Lily came out from absolutely nowhere and practically bombarded her with her plusie.

"A-Ah!" She squeaked, looking rather startled. She then calmed down and looked to Lily and her friend.

"O-Oh... Cute... T-They could be friends..." She whimpered, holding her cat up.

Shade then brushed her hair and put it up in a messy, half bun. After that she brushed her teeth. She picked up her dirty clothes and put them with the other dirty clothes. After making sure her stuff was put away and the bathroom was back to being tidy. She left and went back to her room. Taking a shaky breath she picked up her book. It was called 'The Art Of Happiness';she had been reading it for the past week.
