SUBJECT: OPERATION FREAK SHOW CIRCUS

Upon the review of recent reports of a rise in criminal activity of supernatural and mortal origin, the proposal of protocol FREAK SHOW CIRCUS has been approved by the UN through the majority vote. Upon further approval the world leaders have signed down upon the contract for the operation, which remains hidden within an undisclosed location, to proceed with the operation. Along with this the nations have also signed to a code of silence where such knowledge of the protocol is to remain hidden from public knowledge outside of high security personnel. The following is a recording of an unnamed individual with personal connections to the protocol.

 

“…Hello. My name is [bEEP]. I am here to tell you about protocol FREAK SHOW CIRCUS. Originally the leaders of the nations had turned down the protocol, but after the recent rise in supernatural and mortal crime, we had no other choice. Now you might be wondering about why I said the word ‘Supernatural’. Well it is because the crimes are indeed, of supernatural origin. The legends of creatures of the nights, the boogie man, the monster in the closet, the vampires and werewolves and so on. Though not always as the media portrays them…they are all real, and living

among us in this world we call home. Where I to mention all of the myths that are actually reality I would never reach an end. To make it easier, consider everything that you’ve ever heard to be true or at least near to it.

 

Now that you understand that they exist, you may also understand the situation of security. Usually each government is assigned to their own problems within their country to deal with their own crimes. However due to the shortage of ‘willing supernatural employees’ on hand, there is only so much each can do to keep it in control. In the end protocol FREAK SHOW CIRCUS, code-named CIRCUS was suggested, a protocol applying to all countries of the world in hopes of keeping the world’s security under control. The protocol is an organization created to deal with these crimes, and bring balance to the world. The organization divides itself as well as disguises themselves as Circuses, allowing them to travel across the land without suspicion. Each circus has a name, and a ringmaster that receives orders from higher ups that they must fulfill.

 

The Circus itself composed of humans, supernatural creatures, and as the name applies, Freak Show worthy abominations with gifted powers. Now you are wondering why this not was suggested much earlier. Well…it is because of the moral rules that do not apply within the circus itself. As you can guess the job is dangerous, and though some join willingly for protection and a place to call home, there aren’t enough to satisfy the need of members to keep the circuses working. Therefore, members are usually taken in unwillingly…and forcibly changed in order to make them properly fitted to work for the circus. Usually incarcerated surgeons of the highest and yet disturbing abilities have been released to join the circus in order to deform such new members. Unless you have abilities on your own, you will most likely be deformed to join the Freak Show part of the circus, gifted abilities in exchange of a new face to call your own.

 

If you’re still in doubts, let me clarify. Yes. We do kidnap some of our members, and we do forcibly make them stay. Admission is permanent and the only way to leave is through a successful escape or termination. Not like they have much of a choice. After being deformed they have no other place to go. We understand that it is immoral, and that it is what could be considered the worst of crimes…but for the sake of the world, we have no choice. So yes, the secret organization that is meant to keep the world safe is made up of sins that we could never be forgiven if there is indeed a judgment after death. Ironic really. But if you’re hearing this…it also means that you are currently in part of joining such organization for life. If you are joining willingly, we thank you for your bravery and service, and welcome you. If you are joining unwillingly, we thank you for your bravery and service…

In a world where the supernatural and reality collide, Protocol FREAK SHOW CIRCUS is a protocol created to become the Supernatural Police of the world and keep balance between the immortal and the mortal, tracking down criminals of all sorts and fix the problem. The Protocol is made up of multiple circuses that travel performing for audiences to be able to avoid suspicion while doing their work. Each circus has a name, and cast made up of humans, gifted humans, supernatural beings and deformed beings. The circuses are known to kidnap and deform people that they see might have potential, and force them to join the circus willingly or not. Whether you will die doing your job or die trying to escape it, it doesn’t really matter. This Circus is your home, and the members your family. For admission is permanent, and your only way out is through death’s door. After all, we have a government seal protecting us. There are no rules. Everything goes.

 

FAQ:

• What supernatural creatures exist?

Every possible. From myths, legends, creepypastas, the personification of holidays, all of them exist. This also includes locations, such as El Dorado and Atlantis and so on. They either live among humans, away from them, or in between. Some join the circuses in order to be protected under a government seal, which means they are protected by humans and government itself.

 

• How many circuses are there?

The definite number is unknown, however the main circus of this story is known as the Dark Woods Circus. If you wish to create a circus of your own and follow your own story within the RP, be my guest.

 

• What kind of characters can we be?

Human Staff (Cooks, normal helpers, doctors/surgeons, humans remaining human because they are useful)

Gifted Human (These humans are gifted in something. Agility, fighting style, beast taming, etc.)

Supernatural Creatures

Supernatural Human (These are humans born with supernatural abilities)

Deformed Human (Humans deformed in order to be gifted with supernatural abilities. Their abilities usually have to do with their given deformity.)

 

• Explain more about the Deformity and abilities?

When a human is kidnapped, unless they show a special gift of their own or willingly volunteer to be part of human staff, they are deformed. The process not only changes their appearance, but they also gain inhuman abilities that vary depending on what the surgeon has done to them, their abilities usually relating to their deformity. Example would be if you are given multiple arms, you would be a good sword fighter or of the sorts. If something was done to your legs, you may be a fast runner, or jumper. Maybe you’re gifted with the ability to breathe underwater. The possibilities are seemingly endless.

 

• What do the doctors do?

As implied most doctors hired into the circus had been incarcerated or put on death row due to crimes involving medical advancement. Such abilities are useful in the deformation of new comers. Other than deforming new comers to gift them, they act as general doctors for the staff. They also keep a second pair of eyes watching over the staff for any activity if the Ringmaster is busy.

 

• Who is the Ringmaster?

He or She is the leader of the Circus. They receive the orders from above, and then gives the orders to those below them. Ringmasters are usually selected for their role due to their immense strength or experience with working in supernatural crimes. It is rumored most are supernatural beings themselves, however no one knows what kind.

 

• How is the Circus?

Use your imagination, but if it helps, imagine it as a normal circus but with not so normal staff. You sleep in set up tents when settled down and travel from location to location. When not performing or given a mission, you have free reign to explore as long as you return. Fights and events such as birthdays are casual, and eventually even the coldest members warm up to their fellow members as family. Sometimes you will be sent on a mission while the circus itself is performing, keeping the town busy to keep them away from harm.

 

• What is the goal in the circus/what do you do in the circus?

As a member you are obliged to do whatever your position requires you to do. Whether it would be to perform or help setting up the tent and so on. Other than that the circus will provide the members with missions that they must accomplish. These missions are usually detective work and solving crimes, most cases involving fighting as well. You can do these missions in groups or solo.

She doesn't have any hatred, and is actually rather cheerful. However, she does feel pity for others who are forced against their will, and is the first to console them once they arrive.

Bio: (Optional) Orali was created in a forest near a small town. Soon strange things began to happen in the area. Lost adventurers would find the path by following a strange blue light, sick townspeople would find healing herbs on their doorstep, rumors spread of rare, colorful flowers growing abundantly in the heart of the forest, hungry wolves were scared away from travelers by a flash of blue/ white light, and when the winter was longer and colder than normal, a small pale girl would appear in town, trading flowers for food. Whispers spread of the town's mysterious guardian. Many left offerings of food and blankets. Some said it was a ghost, others an angel, but Orali didn't care. She just wanted to see the people happy. Unfortunately, humans always fear the unknown. A traveling hunter decided to catch the strange forest creature, and the spirit was wounded before she managed to escape. Soon after this incident Orali ran into the Dark Woods Circus and was... Persuaded... To join them. After a while she found that she didn't mind being part of a circus. She got to make people smile (although she was uncomfortable with having too many eyes on her when she wasn't flying through the sky), and the detective/ crime prevention job helped keep people safe. It has been two years since then.

Basically, the circus arrived at their new location. And a while after setting up for the circus, three missions were posted to a board. Your character can take any one of the three missions, so long as your character speaks with Happy. Or you could be like my characters and have either no clue what to, or just be somewhere else entirely.

 

By the way, yeah, Cillan is still around. He'll be back soon after Fred does something other than stand by the board.

Okay, I will actually try to post tomorrow! I just have to see if Flaire's still in too. Is the old recap still good or do I need an update? ^^'

People are starting to take missions, so far it looks like Fred and the twins are on the kidnapping one and Raven, Snake and Cillian are getting rid of an agent. Other than that, the last recap sums it up.

He hasn't completely trained enough to use mind-control. The most he can do is instill paranoia and extreme dizziness in people. He also has been genetically altered in his legs which now allows him to jump to abnormal heights.

Bio: From what we know, Jake's story begins in a pretty normal way. He was born a healthy baby and grew up with not too much, but not too little. He also grew up with a little sister and two loving parents that were successful in fostering a loving heart within him. This normal atmosphere charged however when Jake decided to join the MIU (Military Infantry Unit). He joined the MIU to look over him little sister that joined because her "normal" life was destroyed by a sudden crash in the demand for liquid coolant. Due to an inventory checking error, she maxed out her supply of liquid coolant and put herself in massive debt with no hope of crawling out after the major crash. With this will to protect his sister, Jake did everything in his power to train up for himself and his sister. Before we knew it, he became a killing machine. On his first tour in the war with the Zaks, he had over 500 confirmed kills just by himself. When he was deployed the second time, he purposely got himself caught to go behind emeny lines and rasie a rebellion. It was a massacre. The rebels and Jake killed over 1500 soldiers, thus completely turning the war in our favor. As he quickly shot up the ranks, we began to keep close tabs on him. Has anybody here ever heard of the classified experiment project codenamed Operation Owl's Fever?..... No?............ Good. That means we're doing our job correctly. Operation Owl's Fever was a dark ops project that focused on unlocking the psionic abilities of the brain. We took skilled soldiers and put them through, for lack of a better term, hell. We had them do inhuman tests of strength, knowledge, and endurance as we injected them with experimental drugs to unlock closed sections of the brain. This is nothing compared to the train even the Spetsnaz and the Green Berets do. Hell, even if you combined their training, you wouldn't match up. Those who survived the experimentation and training,  were experimented on again to test the capablities of the weaponized mind. Those who survived that, were then trained to use these new psionic abitilies. Jake was a very skilled soldier so we put him in the program. When he was about 1/4 the way through, we ran into a problem. Certain parts of his brain wouldn't unlock because they simply didn't exist within his mind. We did our research and realized that because he lived such a sheltered life and because he was a lone wolf most of the time, he never experienced lose. We assumed that war would have made this part of his mind unlock, but, I guess there are outliers. So, to progress him, we showed him lose. We hired a sniper to kill his sister and make it seem as if she was a casualty of war. The sniper was successful in killing his sister, but was successful in making her die look like a casualty. She didn't stand a chance. When we found her, her brain was turned into a sort of paste and she could only stare blankly at the walls. Jake disappeared afterwards, but, from what we know, he now resides within the Dark Woods Circus as a guard. He was given leg enhancements by the circus's doctors to allow him to jump abnormal heights. He has killed many of our high ranking offices. When we are ready to strike, we will strike. For now, we lay low.

~One of Jake's best friends is a stripper at the Buzzed Siren whose stage name is Lovely and whose real name is Karen Remizova. She is a best friend because they can talk to each other about everything and they keep each other company most of the time.

Bio: From what we know, Jake's story begins in a pretty normal way. He was born a healthy baby and grew up with not too much, but not too little. He also grew up with a little sister and two loving parents that were successful in fostering a loving heart within him. This normal atmosphere charged however when Jake decided to join the MIU (Military Infantry Unit). He joined the MIU to look over him little sister that joined because her "normal" life was destroyed by a sudden crash in the demand for liquid coolant. Due to an inventory checking error, she maxed out her supply of liquid coolant and put herself in massive debt with no hope of crawling out after the major crash. With this will to protect his sister, Jake did everything in his power to train up for himself and his sister. Before we knew it, he became a killing machine. On his first tour in the war with the Zaks, he had over 500 confirmed kills just by himself. When he was deployed the second time, he purposely got himself caught to go behind emeny lines and rasie a rebellion. It was a massacre. The rebels and Jake killed over 1500 soldiers, thus completely turning the war in our favor. As he quickly shot up the ranks, we began to keep close tabs on him. Has anybody here ever heard of the classified experiment project codenamed Operation Owl's Fever?..... No?............ Good. That means we're doing our job correctly. Operation Owl's Fever was a dark ops project that focused on unlocking the psionic abilities of the brain. We took skilled soldiers and put them through, for lack of a better term, hell. We had them do inhuman tests of strength, knowledge, and endurance as we injected them with experimental drugs to unlock closed sections of the brain. This is nothing compared to the train even the Spetsnaz and the Green Berets do. Hell, even if you combined their training, you wouldn't match up. Those who survived the experimentation and training,  were experimented on again to test the capablities of the weaponized mind. Those who survived that, were then trained to use these new psionic abitilies. Jake was a very skilled soldier so we put him in the program. When he was about 1/4 the way through, we ran into a problem. Certain parts of his brain wouldn't unlock because they simply didn't exist within his mind. We did our research and realized that because he lived such a sheltered life and because he was a lone wolf most of the time, he never experienced lose. We assumed that war would have made this part of his mind unlock, but, I guess there are outliers. So, to progress him, we showed him lose. We hired a sniper to kill his sister and make it seem as if she was a casualty of war. The sniper was successful in killing his sister, but was successful in making her die look like a casualty. She didn't stand a chance. When we found her, her brain was turned into a sort of paste and she could only stare blankly at the walls. Jake disappeared afterwards, but, from what we know, he now resides within the Dark Woods Circus as a guard. He was given leg enhancements by the circus's doctors to allow him to jump abnormal heights. He has killed many of our high ranking offices. When we are ready to strike, we will strike. For now, we lay low.

Fun Facts:

~Jake hates..... spoons. He has no problem with sporks, but he just..... *Clears throat trying not to laugh* hates spoons.

~Jake loves to relax at the local strip club just to listen to his favorite DJ's calming mixes and sleep. I'm not joking. He legit naps in a strip club. 

~The strip club that Jake spends most of his down time at is called the Buzzed Siren

~Jake's favorite DJ goes by the title DJ Cloud 0

~One of Jake's best friends is a stripper at the Buzzed Siren whose stage name is Lovely and whose real name is Karen Remizova. She is a best friend because they can talk to each other about everything and they keep each other company most of the time.

~Jake loves canned mackerel.

Bio: Nine is a young man who's entire life remains in mystery. There is no background at all and not even the governments most advanced identification programs are capable of figuring out who this boy is. However, when the youth proclaimed that he was from the future, the government themselves were sceptical at first until he began to exhibit what appeared to be supernatural like abilities. Being so sure that he was an ordinary human, the threat from Nine had become imminent. Fortunately, the boy had other plans. He explained that he was on some kind of quest and requested to be placed within the Dark Woods Travelling Circus specifically. Without question, Nine was sent to wear the Circus would be holding it's next performance. Deciding to watch the show before making his presence known to the Circus, Nine continues to make people question who he really is.

Fun facts: Nine has explained over and over that his "powers" are not supernatural, but technological. It would be like comparing modern day technology to cavemen, and so he decided that it would be easier for them to comprehend it as "magic". He likes playing with cards, explaining that it's "nostalgic" for games to be played physically. He drinks a lot from a seemingly infinite bottle, saying that he has "hydration issues".
