Sometimes it's either a lot of people agree with me or disagree with me on this subject. But I love the style of fighting Super Smash Bros has. Free movement, no complicated button commands, simple to learn but with a secret layer of technique & a great balance between casual and competitive gameplay. And as much as I love Super Smash Bros, I kind of hope one day it gets the rival it needs or maybe the threat of being dethroned.
There have been many great games inspired by Smash like Rivals of Aether, Playstation Allstars Battle Royale, Jump Ultimate Stars, Brawlhalla, Power Stone, Sonic Battle ect.
And some....games that were also inspired by it like Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion & Shrek Super Slam.
But hasn't anyone thought of the creative ideas we can do for the Platform Fighting Genre or what series/companies should have a game like it? There are lots of possibilities Xbox, Disney (or a Kingdom Hearts Platform Fighter), another Playstation Allstars game, Capcom, Namco, SEGA, Ubisoft, Warner Bros, Indie gaming, the horror genre, film in general, ect.
